Summer on Nantucket is a novel that will leave you thinking about your own family ties, first loves, and the moments in life that shape who we are. It’s a tender and beautifully written reminder that sometimes, even when life feels like it’s spinning out of control, the love of family and the possibility of second chances can make it all worthwhile. If you’re looking for a book that will pull at your heartstrings while making you smile, this one’s for you.

Summer Light on Nantucket by Nancy Thayer is a nice, easy paced beach read about Blithe.Benedict, a divorced mother of four, heading with her children to Nantucket for the summer. Although she wasn't looking for love, she found it on island when she meets Nick, a good looking man staying with friends, and Aaden, her high school boyfriend who she thought she'd spend her life with. There were several times I wanted to shake her and tell her to take a chance and live a little! There was some drama with the children and ex husband, but very little. Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and Ballantine for the opportunity to read Summer Light on Nantucket by Nancy Thayer.
Spending time on Nancy Thayer's Nantucket is one of m favorite places to be. Her latest, once again, gives us this perfect setting with characters we care about.

This talented and gifted author has, again, written a page turner. The realistic characters keep the story moving quickly. This author does not disappoint. The title is intriguing...the story is intriguing...the characters come alive on the pages as real people. One might wonder if he/she is a neighbor or that person in the grocery store...grab a cup of herbal tea...curl up in a comfy chair...spend an afternoon on Nantucket. Thanks Netgalley.
