All Dixie Mulligan wants to do is escape New York and spend the summer in a small California town working at the vintage movie theater her aunt owns. But this summer isn’t like the last three. She may have ruined her chance at a relationship with her best friend Sawyer who she happens to love. Good thing her family has the ability for a single redo, which rewinds the past and gives them a chance at a better future.
Dixie makes a likable heroine and her family members, especially cousin Bunny, and other secondary characters such as coworker Claire are well developed and memorable. Her love interest and best friend Sawyer is a good match for her, however, the plot kept the two of them apart more than expected in a traditional romance plot. Morris maneuvers the readers attention expertly to allow for later reveals, such as the details behind the incident Dixie longs to rewind. Morris also provides a paragraph of Mulligan family information related to the rewinds at the start of each chapter. My favorite things about the books Morris writes are the way she weaves in the weirdness, making it feel like fact, and her fantastic character development. The cast of characters in REWIND TO US is rather large, but Morris makes each one count.
I became a fan of Morris after reading ANNIE LEBLANC IS NOT DEAD YET, which also had a fabulistic twist. I look forward to reading her next release and dropping into the wonderfully weird world she creates.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks to Wednesday Books, an imprint of St. Martin’s Publishing Group, for providing an Advance Reader Copy via NetGalley.

This book was much different than what i had read in the past, and was a welcome change! Pretty faced paced, and the plot twist i really did not see coming was welcomed as well. The book held my interest and I wanted to keep reading to see how it ended.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book and it held my interest. I liked the main characters and the twists and turns. I know what others are talking about with repetitive parts, and I too kept wondering why certain things were repeating but it eventually became clear why those things kept coming up. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend this to a teen!

A girl misses a chance with her crush and due to a special ability her family has she's able to rewind one event in her life in order to change her present and future.
This book didn't really work for me in a lot of ways which makes me sad to say. A lot of Dixie's decisions and the decisions of her family felt like a cop out without really any repercussions for the decisions that they made.
I sorta feel like if a relationship didn't work out because of a decision you made, maybe it just wasn't meant to work out.
There are suggestions in the book that Sawyer and Dixie would've worked things through anyway but for me it would've been much more interesting to actually see them work through problems instead of just changing the past and making it so she didn't have to put any effort into things.
Her family were just enabling that as well despite the fact that her aunt knew better.
I can't give it a one star because at the end of the day I still enjoyed Dixie's relationship with her aunt and her cousin and whenever I got confused for a while, things would get explained to remove that confusion but I just felt very frustrated and I don't want to be frustrated by a book. I want to love it.
(Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the free copy in exchange for an honest review)

Going to be honest, I wasn’t a fan.
I liked the characters. They were interesting and I liked how they felt developed.
But I wasn’t a fan of the plot. It sounds fun and cool, but I just couldn’t bring myself to care whole reading.

Thank you to the author and publisher for an ARC copy
Such a cute and heartwarming story. I need it to be a movie, it’s a great concept and I want to see it on the big screen. iykyk

This book has the perfect blend of heart and humor to make it relatable and enjoyable. The what if factor made me enjoy this book even more and caused me to think on my own what if moments. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone seeking a new sweet romance.

Have you ever regretted doing something and just wanted a "do-over"? Enter this adorable book. Dixie lives with her parents in New York, but spends her summers in California with her aunt, cousin, and the boy she's in love with, Sawyer, who is her best friend. At the beginning of the book, Dixie is getting ready to tell Sawyer how she feels and that her feelings go beyond best friend status. But then something happens and she just wants a do-over. Luckily, people in her family, unbeknownst to others, get ONE do-over/rewind in their lives. And Dixie is set on using hers on her relationship with Sawyer. A fun read and one that will have you thinking about what you'd use your one rewind on,

Thank you Wednesday Books and Netgalley for this eARC, these opinions are my own. Dixie and Sawyer are best friends and Dixie is in love with him. Things have been awkward, but luckily Dixie’s family is special. They have the ability to rewind one point in their life and do it over again. So Dixie plans to rewind time so she can tell Sawyer she’s in love with him. But will a rewind be enough? After all there are things even time can’t fix. Fun, cute, and twisty! Full of genuine characters and side characters! I loved Dixie! A quick read that had me consuming it! If you like your romances with a little bit of speculative fiction you’ll love this one!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers and author for an advanced copy of this book.
Rewind to Us by Molly Morris was a cute fun read! Dixie and Sawyer are best friends and maybe something more. DIXIE’s family has the power to “rewind” one point in their life for a do over and she intends to use it to finally tell Sawyer her feelings. I raced through this book in half a day! I didn’t see the “twist” coming at all. I usually hate the miscommunication trope, which is basically this couples only problem, but I didn’t mind it in this case. I think the “rewind” plot was a lot of fun. I adored the characters, especially Bunny. I will definitely read more of this authors books in the future.

Rewind to Us is a charming YA romance that weaves a magical twist into the story. Dixie Mulligan belongs to a family with an extraordinary ability that allows them a "do-over" in life. While this concept is fantastical, the author does an excellent job breaking down the rules and mechanics of this unique ability in a way that I appreciated and kept me invested.
The story follows Dixie as she seeks a second chance to fix a botched metting with Sawyer, her longtime friend, during his spring break trip to New York. What unfolds is a layered and compelling journey, filled with complex twists and vibrant secondary characters that add depth to the narrative. It's a tale that's light and fun but addresses the fact that even a "do-over" can't guarantee the outcome you want.
Dixie's anxieties about relationships felt genuine and true to her age, making her an authentic and sympathetic lead. The friends-to-lovers dynamic between Dixie and Sawyer is absolutely adorable, and it kept me rooting for them throughout. The creative storyline, coupled with the emotional honesty at its heart, makes Rewind to Us a delightful and memorable read.
Thank you NetGalley and Wednesday Books for the advanced reader copy. This is my honest review.

My favorite genre is now officially YA romances written by Molly Morris. I read Annie LeBlanc is Not Dead Yet in 5 minutes and never thought anything would compare- this one is up there with the unique plot and the way these 18 year olds make me cry happy tears when they get together!
Thank you so much to St Martin’s Press for giving me an eARC of this early- my review for Morris’s other book must’ve come off of as fan obsessed 🤣 This releases 6/17/25!
Dixie is a just a girl, in love with her best friend, who has no idea what her every day life looks like back in NYC. When she comes to visit Sawyer every summer, he only sees the Cielo Springs Dixie. Things start to get complicated when she makes things weird between them, but she’s determined to win him over by simply rewinding time. You read correctly; the Morrisons (Dixie’s mom’s family) have the capability to rewind time once a year to change the trajectory of life. Dixie wants a life with Sawyer and will do anything to get it, even if it includes severing ties with her New York life.

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for an advanced copy of this book!
4.5 stars- This book got me out of a reading slump!
This is my first Molly Morris book, and I really enjoyed her writing style and story telling ability.
This is a young adult book that follows a teen girl whose family possesses the gift of a “Mulligan”. It’s an interesting storyline, with a twist I didn’t see coming. Would recommend!

This book was a rollercoaster for sure ! Had me very hooked at the beginning but the hype of it all started dying down as the plot started getting a bit repetitive.
Nice plot twist that you get 40 percent into the book and then it kinda goes a bit downhill from there!
Overall was enjoyable and would recommend to people but my rating was definitely affected by the lack of romance/ interaction we get from the main two characters.

Thanks to NetGalley and Molly Morris. I loved all The movies references through out the book. It was so good. I kinda got confused with the book in self with view points of it and it was kinda hard to follow it.. it was a cute YA romance book. I would recommend it for 15 or young adult age range.. it kinda fell flat for me.

Author Molly Morris has come up with the brilliant idea of a Rewind. She also comes up with a great way to incorporate it in her book Rewind To Us, Thoroughly enjoyed!
Thank you to St. Martin's Press | Wednesday Books and NetGalley for providing an eARC for a honest review.

If you had the ability to rewind an event in your life would you take it? Would it be to fix a relationship or get a better grade on an exam? Would you even consider whom it may affect or just be thinking of how it would change your life.
In “Rewind to us” that is exactly what The Mulligan family can do. In this lovely book by Molly Morris we get to travel with Dixie as she contemplates using her rewind and finds that sometimes you have to look at the big picture before making a decision. I absolutely loved this amazingly written book by Molly Morris. The depth of the characters and storyline kept me not wanting to put this book down. I absolutely love her line “ It’s the decisions that take us through life”. This line really hit home and then I realized that this book was more than a simple rom-com. This is definitely a book you need to add to your goodread TBR list. This was my first Molly Morris book, but definitely not my last.

Ah, the classic summer vacation confession plan—what could possibly go wrong? For Dixie Mulligan, the answer is everything. She finally works up the nerve to tell her best friend Sawyer she’s in love with him… only to show up and find him kissing someone else. Oof. Time to pack it up and go home, right?
Nope! Because Dixie and her family each have one magical Rewind—an actual, honest-to-goodness do-over button for life’s worst moments. So she’s determined to fix whatever went wrong between her and Sawyer. Except, turns out, life is a little more complicated than just pressing rewind. Family secrets spill out, emotions get messy, and Dixie has to figure out if some things are better left in the past.
This book is equal parts swoony, bittersweet, and hilarious, with just enough magic to make you wish you had a Rewind of your own. Dixie’s voice is sharp and relatable, the second-chance romance is so worth rooting for, and the story reminds us that sometimes, what’s meant to be will find its way—Rewind or not.
Highly recommend if you love rom-coms with a touch of time travel, heartfelt family dynamics, and that "but what if?" nostalgia we all secretly obsess over.

Ah, young love. And how small things feel so monumental and insurmountable at that age! How truly fortunate one would be to have the opportunity to go back in time to right a wrong, even with the stipulation that you only get one do-over. The characters are just eccentric enough to be charming, with enough background to make them feel real. My favorite character is Sawyer, and his hobby was so original - I love the way this is woven into the story! There is a lot of the expected teen angst, but the story goes into much deeper levels where self-identity and anxiety for the future are concerned. There are numerous threads in this tale that are expertly woven together to give you an authentic feel without anything seeming to be over-the-top. Thank you to Wednesday Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read an ARC of this heartwarming book. This is a magically and masterfully written story about regrets and how to overcome them!

When I read the synopsis and saw the cover I was intrigued. I dropped my other book and started this one and then I got distracted and lost interest in this book and put it away. I decided to try again and it was like slogging through mud. I just had a hard time connecting with the characters and the story. I just didn't enjoy reading this book. It was not my cup of tea.
