This is a very simple and fast read that spreads a good message to young readers. My young daughters were interested at first, but the storyline and graphics didn't grab their attention, but they are 2 and 5. However, this is a great message for young readers to hear.
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley! What acute book with a powerful message. This will be one that I’ll read over and over to my children. Love the illustrations!

This series by Azizi Tuere is so stunning, uplifting & encouraging. I wish everyone in the world would read it. In this book we follow along with our new friend as she looks for all the ways in her day she feels thankful and why.We love how the story points out so many new and simple ways we can be grateful. It even mentioned several of the many things that I'm grateful for like books, music, rain and of course my family. Without these things I would be sad all the time. The story shows us that if we look around and think we will discover so many more things to be grateful that we may not have thought of before. It is the uplifting story that our children need to hear. Sometimes we need those little reminders in our life. Beautiful illustrations get straight to the point in helping to explain the meaning of the story.
A great gift Perfect for classrooms or for any child in your world. Grab the series, everyone of them are so uplifting and needed in our children’s lives. I love it!

Absolutely stunning and calming illustrations. The bright yet soft tones to the colors and style of drawings really sets the scene in this book with a wonderful message that all children (and adults) could use. Finding the beauty and reasons to be grateful in even the smallest parts of our day.

What an endearing beautifully illustrated book that’s provides entertainment as well as teaching a child about being grateful.

I'm Grateful Because I Am by Azizi Tuere is a beautiful book that does a great job portraying ways children can demonstrate gratitude in the every day aspects of life. As a special education teacher and mom to two young children, I often find myself using the phrase "have a grateful heart." I love this book because it is the perfect reminder to do just that!
This book would make a great addition to a young reader's library or an elementary school classroom library!

His was a cute simple story that helps find the good in many things. It is so important to show gratitude each day for the things we have. While I thought he. Ion was cute I had a hard time getting kids to listen to the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for granting me access to this ARC.
The illustrations in this book are vibrant, fun and beautiful. As a soon-to-be first time parent, I am looking for books to read to my child that are inclusive, engaging, fun and teach a lesson. I'm Grateful Because I Am checks every box. I enjoyed how the focus is on being thankful for things we generally take for granted. This book challenges readers to check their privilege, which is so important to be teaching children. I really enjoyed the discussion questions and activities at the end of the book. I look forward to reading this with my daughter when she arrives. Fantastic job!

I’m so grateful to NetGalley for the opportunity to read I’m Grateful Because I Am by Azizi Tuere. Everything about this book is perfection. The illustrations are vibrant and beautiful, and the message will be an inspiration to children everywhere. Waking up in the morning and finding things to be thankful for…. whether it’s friends, food, music, nature, or so much more… is the most important step toward mindfulness and happiness.
I cannot wait to add this to my classroom library. This is an amazing way to enhance the SEL (social emotional learning) experience for my students.
