The Extremely Embarrassing Life of Lottie Brooks was a cute read! Perfect for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries, I know my students will like this series and will be able to relate to Lottie. I first heard about this series from a relative who lives in England whose daughter is absolutely obsessed. Imagine my surprise when I saw a version that's going to be available in the US! There were even parts that made me laugh out loud, so I know kids will no doubt enjoy it! Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!

Lottie is trying so hard to fit in, desperate to not be a loser in her new middle school. As she is seemingly accepted by the popular girls, she can't help but feel a little targeted by them as well, especially when a fellow new girl is kind, confident, and seems to accept her as she is, not making her feel like she needs to change to please others.

Written in diary/journal format with stick figure sketches, this book is not only relatable to tweens and young teens, but is a great segue from graphic novels to print books. Great for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dork Diaries, or Dear Dumb Diary series.

This is a cute book about finding a new place to fit in when things around you are changing.
I liked the cute little drawings and thought that Lottie was funny. But I thought that this book was long for it being for elementary/middle school age.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.
