A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Julie Tudor is Not a Psychopath is a really awesome guilty pleasure read. It is interesting to see inside Julie's mind and understand the depths of narcissism within. This book is about Julie and her admirers and the chaos that ensues when Julie sets her sights on you. Julie is the center of her own universe. A universe where people would do anything to be a part of her life... Or not. Julie Tudor is Not a Psychopath is a book about some who lives in a fantasy world. After a traumatic incident took her out of nursing school she settled in to a job with a financial company in London. At this job, she met and fell in love with a young man (about 20 years her junior) and decided that they were destined to be together. Julie analyzes every interaction she has with this young man and comes to the conclusion that he is deeply in love with her; however, everyone around them will do anything they can to keep them apart.
I loved this book. I loved Julie's character and thought it was so well developed. She truly is a psychopath and would do anything to possess the one she sets sights on. This was a page turner for me and kept me engaged throughout. The prologue gives a pretty good hint as to what is going to happen in the end, but Julie never-ending battle against reality keeps you guessing at what she'll do next.
This is my favorite kind of thriller to read. It's fun, sassy, and so far from reality that you truly get lost in the fantasy of it all. This is a 5 Star pick for me!

Julie Tudor is a 49 year old spreadsheet genius who loves a good monochromatic look and exciting daydream, has a number of hobbies (gardening, painting, taxidermy, drinking), and is willing -and capable!- of doing whatever it takes to make her true love happy. Even if that true love is only for now. Even if it's unrequited.
The cover and blurb alone are sure to draw a number of readers and while there's something there it somehow falls just short of what you want. While she has her outrageous, amusing moments ("How did they expect to keep the peace if homewreckers couldn't be disciplined?"), you have to suspend A LOT of belief to venture off with Jools. Unless you're off to Scotland, I suppose. While her upbringing may be relatable for some, living in the perfect sibling's shadow, you have to wonder what else was going on or how nobody in her life noticed she was unwell. Her family, and coworkers, are generally distant, unsupportive, and oblivious to Julie. Perhaps that's why she's been fortunate enough to find true love so many times.
Again, there are some darkly comedic bits, and there's an incident that makes you feel truly awful for a young Julie, but overall it's a bit repetitive, slow, and dull by the story's end. I think this would have been a great short story if it were trimmed down, but as it is, it's just ok. Julie's psychopathic tendencies never venture further than they have before and follow the same pattern, so you never get a suspenseful, interesting new adventure to go on, no twists. Like the other characters, Julie falls flat, too.
Thank you to NetGalley and SourceBooks for the e-ARC.

Wow, I had no idea what to expect with this book, and it completely surprised me! Julie is that mysterious person in the office no one really talks to, and getting to know her through her own perspective was such a wild ride — I found myself scratching my head more than once! The author did an amazing job fleshing out her history and showing exactly how Julie became the person she is today. Her quirks and strange worldview made her such a fascinating character. The pacing was spot-on, and honestly, I had such a great time reading it!
Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. Julie is a trip! It’s a quick read and an enjoyable story. This was my first book by the author and I look forward to reading more

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for my honest opinion!
THIS BOOK IS LITERAL INSANITY!!!! I need about 50 more of these stat, Jennifer Holdich!! The eponymous Julie Tudor is so unhinged, so delusional, and so FUN. If you like the Netflix show "You", think Joe but somehow even crazier. Like Joe in "You", I somehow found myself really rooting for Julie and wanting her to get away with all of her (MANY) crimes she committed over the years. I think that's the mark of powerful storytelling, when an author can get you to love a character that you definitely shouldn't/very much wouldn't in real life. There were some parts of the book too where you could tell that some characters were making fun of Julie when she didn't realize that was what was happening, and every time that happened I found myself wanting to reach into the book and throttle them myself! How dare they take advantage of this (unhinged and downright terrifying) older woman!!
This book was honestly a 5 star read for the, Julie's audacity won me over and I know she will continue to do so to many others when this book is released. Jennifer Holdich, I can't wait to see how far you go!

Our girl Julie is in fact Psycho! Was this a satire, a thriller or just a deranged internal dialogue?
The POV we receive is only through Julie bit how she describes others reactions to her both personally and physically we know what's up...and I want to be like girrllll
We receive multiple timelines of 1970's 80's The 2009/2010.
Julie 49 is in love with coworker Sean 25 and nothing will keep them apart 😳 Julie is quick to lose interest in most humans and animals but will stop at nothing for love.
It was a decent debut novel that had many entertaining and shake your head moments, the pacing was off a bit and dragged toward the end. I also feel it was similar to stories I've read in the past so not very original.

This book jumps from dark humor to a clever, yet suspenseful thriller.
Julie Tutor is in love, but he is in love with someone else. She has an obsession and she gets in trouble. Will he love Julie? What is the plan?
It’s a quick and entertaining read. Definitely recommend.
Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I really truly wanted to love this, I always try and step out of my usual genres, but this did not work for me. I felt a little bored. The pacing was too slow for my taste and the storyline felt really repetitive at times.

3.5⭐️
ARC review-
this was quite the wild journey for our dear julie tudor. it was interesting to be inside her head as she talked herself through the truth she saw in her own delusions. there were some parts of the story i found funny but some parts really took me out of the story which led to its rating. overall, if you are looking for a funny mystery i would recommend giving this a try!

Julie Tudor is not a psychopath. Or is she?
Julie is living in a delusion where her younger coworker is deeply in love with her but is being lead astray by other women. She will do anything and everything to make her his. And this isn’t the first time she’s done this either. Those weren’t the real loves of her life. But Seth is, and if she can’t have him no one will. After all, what’s a little murder in the name of love.
This was laugh out loud funny. She is so unhinged I love it! 4.5 stars rounded up.

This book has such a dark, comedic undertone to it. It’s hard to not like Julie even though she does quite questionable things. This was written well and it’s easy to get lost in the storyline.

Ok so Julie Tudor is an actual sociopath with borderline personality disorder sprinkled right up in that wild brain of hers. This woman is unapologetically unhinged; the book follows her journey of obsessive tendencies over men and how the only emotion she gravitates towards is love. Hence, why she seeks it and will stop at nothing to feed these delusions of romance.
It’s a quirky take on the experience of a serial killer seeking companionship and what adds an element of instability for the reader is that she is never an MC you root for— the short of it? I couldn’t put this book down. I highly recommend it for an entirely unique reading experience and also if you want to reset your reading patterns and dabble in a bit of off-kilter, character driven suspense. The writing is well-done with flash backs and duel timelines to keep the story interesting.
At times, it did feel a little drawn out but never to the point of what I would consider a “lull.”
Overall, a great and weirdly refreshing combination of psychological suspense without the chills and thrills.
Thank you to netgalley and sourcebooks for the ARC of this!! Def. Recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley for this book!
This book narration and style was incredible and very realistic. The characters had interesting interactions. I enjoyed the dual timelines and how they interacted. After a while of understanding the narrator and the reliability, the story started to feel a little redundant. Still good read with interesting, new perspective that is very believable.

I really tried to get into this book, but honestly, it just didn’t work for me. The story felt cringe and, more than anything, boring. Julie is clearly meant to be unhinged, but she comes across as flat and monotone, which made it hard to care about anything she did.
None of the characters had any real depth—they all just kind of existed on the page without pulling me in. The plot dragged on, and I kept waiting for something—*anything*—exciting to happen. But when I finally got to the end, it felt like nothing ever really did.
This one just wasn’t for me.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for their generosity in allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a hoot. Thank you for the early copy! I wasn't sure how I would feel about it as the character is seemingly unlikable, but funny all the same. The book was like a train wreck in the best way, and the storyline kept me intrigued along the way. Very cute book!

Julie Tudor is Not a Psychopath by Jennifer Holdich
First of all, thank you so much Netgalley and Sourcebooks for this e-arc in return for a honest review.
Julie Tudor is Not a Psychopath is about a women, Julie Tudor, who has everything she could ever dream of, a fantastic job, a beautiful house and the man of her dreams. She is not a stalker and definitely not a psychopath.
Reading from her perspective was such a different experience. It had me hooked, and was so entertaining. The dark humour was fantastic, but also kind of uncomfortable in a good way.
The main character was so unlikeable, however, you begin to feel for her and are sympathetic toward her as a person even though she is so Julie...
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves an unlikeable and really unreliable main character.

This book is unlike anything I have read and I honestly could not stop!
Julie Tudor has had her fixations over the years, men just seem to fall madly in love with her. It’s just that the timing and situation is never ideal….. this is what she tells herself. She will be with the love of her life soon enough, she just has to bid her time while the specifics are ironed out.
In reality, Julie is never the object of their affection. Merely a by stander that they are friendly with. The mind can be a powerful force, both in delusions and intent. Then when things don’t go her way and she is tired of waiting? Well that’s when the real Julie comes out.
Step inside the mind of Julie Tudor over multiple decades and be sucked into the delusional life she leads. The fact that she had a reason for every behavior (hers and the current man holding her affection) will leave you bewildered and almost laughing at how ludicrous one person can be.
This is the author’s debut novel and I have to say job well done! I was squirming uncomfortably in parts (those poor little animals) and rolling my eyes at others - purely because I thought that Julie couldn’t be any more insane. Turns out I was proven wrong every time!

I enjoyed this book so much because of Julie Tudor’s character! She is unpredictable, unhinged, delusional and her internal dialogue was funny. Julie is 49 years old but it is in love with her co-worker Sean and she believes he feels the same way. Sean doesn’t seem to think of Julie the same way and because of this his last two relationship end abruptly. Julie doesn’t like when obstacles get in her way and finds ways to eliminate them.
Julie has always had trouble fitting in and making friends. She manages to keep making mistakes wherever she goes.
This has a fast pace and keeps you guessing where the story will go next.

Julie is bananas, b-a-n-a-n-a-s!
When we first meet Julie, she's working at a financial company on the admin side. She works hard, comes home to a clean house, cooks a gourment meal, and visits with her neighbors. Sean, her coworker, is apparently besotted with her though unable to convey his true feelings - instead he's dating the new girl at work. The story fluxuates between past and present, as readers learn more about Julie. She is.... not stable. Holdich absolutely nails what I imagine it’s like inside the mind of someone who is absolutely deluded in every way. I was fascinated and horrified and all things in between. Julie is an unreliable narrator to the nth degree, confident in her own perfection. A deliciously fun read.
