I was drawn to this book based on the ballet imagery on the cover. That's pretty much where I stopped enjoying this book. I found the MC, Casey Holden, to be an insufferable misogynist. At times the novel reads like a 30s/40s noir novel set in the 2010s, and that kind of mish-mash takes talent that this author showed no evidence of executing here. The mystery itself was fairly straightforward and easy to solve, so getting to the reveal was a slog since I refuse to DNF books. 1 star.

I completely forgot to provide feedback on this! I'm a sucker for a good thriller and have always had an interest in the dance and ballet world. Casey's character was fun and relatable, and it was a fast, easy read.
