First off I will start with that I am dying for Mac and Annie’s story so I was a little disappointed at first when I found out this book was not about them, but Iris and Archer. I was also a little confused at first. In the Christmas tree farm Iris is described as older, I really thought she was in her 40s or 50s. So I was naturally shocked when in the beginning you find out she is in her twenties. So Iris is the kind of person to bounce around from job to job. She teaches Yoga, water aerobics and seasonal at the Christmas tree farm. She has an issue with commitment. Archer has always wanted to be a chef, it has always been his top priority. Archers life is turned upside down when he finds out that he has a 5 year old daughter, Olive. Archer finds himself uprooting his life in Paris to come to Dream Harbor to take care of Olive after her mom passes away. Even though Iris has sworn off kids and finds them gross and sticky, she is desperate for money. I mean how hard can one 5 year old be?

Even though I am not a huge fan of 3rd person books, I absolutely love the Dream harbor series. The only thing I felt this book was missing was more details of Cate. I kept finding myself racking my brain about her and if she was mentioned in the first 3 books

This is book #4 in the series, and if you’ve enjoyed the other books in the series, you’re likely to enjoy this one too. Our heroine described children as “terrifying, unpredictable and perpetually sticky,” yet finds herself agreeing to be a nanny. Our chef hero was shocked to find out he had a child, but steps up to be a parent. This book is sweet and spicy.

My only complaint, which may actually be something you enjoy, is how realistic some parts of the story are. The characters have backstories (shocker!) and they affect how the characters react to things. Spoiler – much like the Dream Harbor book club members debate the single dad trope, I’m not sure I want kids in my romance novels, even if Olive was a sweetie. I’m looking forward to book #5. 4.5 stars, rounded up.

Thank you to HarperCollins and NetGalley for the ARC. #TheStrawberryPatchPancakeHouse #NetGalley

This was so fun and cute, this series is the perfect pallet cleanser and deserves all the hype. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This is the fourth book I have read by Laurie Gilmore. I love the little town and all of its inhabitants. I enjoyed the book, but it was not my favorite in the series. It was an easy read with some steamy romance scenes.

I was fortunate enough to receive The Strawberry Patch Pancake House by Laurie Gilmore as an ARC from Net Galley.
I love Hallmark Movies, but sometimes I wish they had a bit more “spice”. That’s why I have been enjoying the Dream Harbor series from Laurie Gilmore.
In this latest book, Archer finds out he has a child and must leave his life in France and head to Dream Harbor.
Young Olive has just lost her mom and has no idea who this man is that she’s supposed to call Dad.
Iris is a free spirit living in Dream Harbor. She finds herself in need of a job and a roof over her head, just as Archer needs a live in nanny to help with Olive.
This book is the epitome of opposites attract. Serious Archer and fly by the seat of her pants Iris must figure out how to navigate their growing passion while doing what’s best for young Olive.
I highly recommend you check out The Strawberry Patch Pancake House as well as the entire series.

In this fourth installment of the Dream Harbor series by Laurie Gilmore she tackles a difficult trope. The single dad and nanny trope is a tough one but Gilmore hits a home run with this book. You will fall in love with the characters! The writing is quick and witty. It reminds me of The Gilmore Girls if you like that vibe, you will love this series! I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

This one kicked off with a bang and threw Archer an unexpected twist right from the start.
Archer was living his dream across the sea, fully immersed in his passion for cooking. As a dedicated chef, he had spent years honing his craft, constantly learning and perfecting his skills. But an unexpected phone call turned his world upside down. An old fling had tragically passed away in an accident—but that wasn’t the only shock. She had been keeping a life-altering secret from him. Olive. The five-year-old daughter he never knew he had.
Iris is no stranger to struggle. Holding a job for more than a month feels impossible, making ends meet is a constant battle, and life itself often seems like an uphill climb. On the verge of eviction, she stumbles upon an opportunity—Archer, the new chef in town, is searching for a live-in nanny. Desperate for stability, she jumps at the chance.
What starts as a simple arrangement soon grows complicated. Though they initially agree to keep things strictly physical, feelings begin to surface on both sides. Confused and uncertain, Iris wrestles with her emotions while also navigating the challenges of caring for Olive.
Love, growth, and all the messy moments in between fill this heartfelt small-town story.
Thank you, NetGalley and Harper 360, for the chance to read and review this one! It was an absolute treat—now I’m craving pancakes!

When Archer finds out he is a dad he moves to Dream Harbor to raise his daughter, Olive, after her mother dies. Iris is broke & needs a job, so she becomes Olive's nanny.

This cute and cozy small town romance is a well-developed with lovable characters. I enjoyed how Archer learned how to be a dad and after a few missteps embraced loving Olive and Dream Harbor. The romance between Archer & Iris was exactly what you would except in a Hallmark type romance.

This is the first time I've read this author and I would definitely read more books by her.

Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for providing an Advance Reading Copy for review.

Books have always been my “happy place.” The genre that I can never get enough of is romance. My preferred genre is romantic suspense books, but at my core I am still a huge fan of traditional romance. I also love a good series. Because of this, I was extremely excited to read this book. I was a bit nervous about reading a book in an established series with several titles. The good news is I was still able to read it as a “standalone.”

While I mentioned that I loved series, I think I am starting to love small town romance series more than the others. I not only like getting to know that characters and thinking of who I want to see get their own books, I like seeing the funny nuances of that particular small town. This book was no exception.

This book hooked me from the very beginning, and I think I fell in love with the main characters within the first few chapters. Usually, when reading a book like this, there is a character that I am “rooting for” more than the other. The interesting this about this book is that I was never on any one character’s side.

All in all, I absolutely adored this book, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I may even go back and read some of the past titles.

**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Same town you know and love! This dream setting makes readers want to run away and find their own little perfect Dream Harbor, own a coffee shop, Christmas tree farm, and now a pancake-specialty breakfast restaurant.

This book adds in extra heart-strings being pulled with the addition of a precious five year old that will steal your heart!

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins for this chance. I heard so many things about this series from blogs to Youtube to Instagram well everywhere and i never got the chance to read them. Till now and i heard i would not be let down. I was not let down i loved it. Hallmark movie vibes and all around cute and cozy and perfect for readers who are not big on super spicy novels. It had the right amount of spice. A perfect story of small town romance to keep me very intrigued and want to read the others and more from her. Which im hoping she brings more to the series or another series with similar vibes. After the Gingerbread Bakery out later this year im hoping for even more after that.

I enjoyed this book. Not my favorite in this series but still very cute. I loved the big city chef to small town diner. The trying to find the perfect pancake recipe to please this crazy town was fun. Connected with Iris because of her basic hot mess express life. Through the whole book I was excited anytime there was any connection with Olive. She had been through the worst tragedy and then sent to live with two strangers. Seems crazy to think but I’m sure that does happen. The spice level was really good. I love to read the stories of Dream Harbor!

Another cozy, small town, Hallmark-esque romance. I'm not normally a romance reader, but Laurie Gilmore's books have totally sucked me in through vibes alone - and they do not disappoint! Cute, cute, cute! Thank you, NetGalley!

This series has really been a joy to read and I can not wait for book 5 to come out this fall. This one was not my favorite of the series, but it definitely ranks up there in my top 3 so far. This series feels like you're in a hallmark movie or a Gilmore Girls episode. It's cheesy, it's predictable, but it's a fun, fast read that you can devour.

ile this book fits right in with its sweetness and side of spicy, I didn't love the trope. Usually I do but seemed forced. Overall was a good book and an easy read.

Thank you, Harpe360 and NetGalley, for the opportunity to read this ARC!

There’s nothing quite like a heartwarming trip to Dream Harbor! This new, cozy installment focuses on Iris, who we met in the previous book, and newcomer Archer, a single dad who moves to the town after learning he has a daughter. I love how the series continues to expand on Dream Harbor, adding residents, but still calling back to favorites from the initial books. All of the “Dreamers” we know and love make an appearance! And we get to see a couple of new corners of the town, such as the quaint diner.

While this book included a few tropes I’m not all that crazy for (insta love, nanny romance, etc.), it spends enough time with the MCs to build a believable relationship. They spend a lot of time making late-night pancakes (swoon!), going through day-to-day moments, and just chatting about life, which felt believable and helped their growing attraction feel genuine. I also enjoyed seeing both characters develop outside of the romance, with Iris learning to overcome her fear of commitment and Archer falling in love with fatherhood.

I’m so happy that this series continues expanding, and I can’t wait for Annie and Mac’s story (YAY! FINALLY!) in the next book, The Gingerbread Bakery!

I’m a huge fan of this series as a cozy romance. It reminds me of Gilmore Girls with the town, but there’s enough spice to make it better than a hallmark movie. While the dad nappy trope isn’t my favorite, I felt this one was handled well. The characters are cute and quippy. Definitely better than some others in the series, this was a quick enjoyable read.

I’ve enjoyed the previous Dream Harbor books so I was excited to get an advanced copy of The Strawberry Patch Pancake House. I read the previous books on audio so it was a new experience reading this book on my Kindle. It may have been my favorite of them all. The single dad and slow burn tropes- phew! I loved how the characters developed throughout the book. Definitely pick this one up!

Thank you to Laurie Gilmore, Harper 360, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

After reading 'The Christmas Tree Farm', I was willing to give Laurie Gilmore’s Dream Harbor series another shot—especially since this story listed so many of my favorite tropes.

Overall, it was a light and cozy read with some sweet moments, but the characters felt a bit flat and constantly left me wanting more. The last third of the book really took away from what could have been a truly charming story. While it does deliver a HEA, there were several rushed and unknown about tropes that just didn’t fly with me.

If you love small-town romances with a Hallmark vibe or have enjoyed other Dream Harbor books, you might still have fun with this one.

Thanks to the author, NetGalley, and Harper 360 for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review!
