We get to see a little more of the characters in this volume where their names are actually used and it's the cutest thing just seeing them together and comfortable with each other but not really an outright couple but definitely in a cute little dynamic where they can just be. I liked it a lot. Nice cozy read with a lot of fashion art which is cute if you like that.

Calming Noir is volume 2 in this manga series.
This volume was similar to the first. The relationship between "him" and "her" was sweet and affectionate. There is still very little that we know about them as we only see snippets of conversations. But the art was interesting and I was a little curious to see how their relationship will progress.

Thank you NetGalley and Udon Entertainment for the ARC!
After finishing the first volume I just HAD to binge read the second volume! Its so easy to get hooked and the pages fly by so fast, I wish it were longer! The story continues with Emma and Alexander continuing their lives both at work and off the job, this time growing a bit bolder with their banter and interactions, Alexander even noting Emma likes to make sure where he is and what he's doing, even so far as to tease him to distract him. Its such a cute and healthy slow burn relationship, I can't wait to read more about this duo! I am thoroughly hooked!

Volume 2 continues their dreamy lo-fi casual romance. Emma touches on her blindness and she tries to see the essence of Alexander while touching his hand while they are out for dinner. She calls out Alexander as his heart beats faster. The romance is definitely there but I’m fine with the slow drip feeding.
The writing in this volume is superb, I loved Emma’s line ‘I told him my face is my third hand. It’s important” And this is from the monologue right after a cute night time scene between the two. Again, the art is superb in this volume and brings out the beauty in this story.
Thank you Netgalley and Udon Entertainment for the eARC.

I have received an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Much like volume one, it is a little hard to piece together a time line between the scenes, but Veil is really more about the vibes and general feeling of Emma and Aleksander's relationship, than the plot. The teasing has been amped up, with a hint of absurd humor, their interactions are livelier and we get to find out a little more about both of them this time.
To me, this is the slow burn romance of the year.

Ahhhhh, my heart is in shambles again. They make my heart break so many times. I love them so much. Their softness, the easiness in their words, in the gestures is just otherworldly. The illustrations, once again, won me over. Oh, to be them! The diversity of outfits and the cute and endearing poses!!!! I can't express properly my love, but this manga is splendid.

WOW I did not think I could love this couple even more, but I'm absolutely smitten. I wanted a hundred more pages of Emma & Alexander in this volume.
We get to see their relationship cross that friendship line a bit in this volume, perfectly setting us up for what, I'm sure, we'll be a spectacular romance in later volumes. I absolutely love how Emma is not your typical FMC. She's bold and isn't afraid to explore her desires. Alexander is so sweet; I love that he is usually the one blushing.
The art style continues to evoke that je ne sais quoi Parisian feeling that I absolutely love. I need poster sized versions for my walls! I will now be eagerly awaiting the next volume.
Thank you Udon Entertainment and NetGalley for the e-arc.

Thank you NetGalley and Udon Entertainment for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Once again I am in love with the art in this second volume! The story still doesn’t make sense but I enjoyed it. It’s cute but didn’t really accomplish anything for me.

Visually stunning. An all color manga that was absolutely beautiful with a captivating story I could stop reading! I’m desperate to read more volumes.

The art is nice and the short snippets of their life is cute but wish there had been a proper plot line.

ARC review : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Their friendship so so good and lighthearted. I am enthralled by the art and fun sweet scenes between these two. I can't help but want more. I MUST continue this series.
Vintage vibes and a blossoming relationship I can't help but hope for♥️♥️

It's good to see them again, their interaction never seem failed to amaze me. I feel their feeling and relationship start to grow more. She's clearly more comfortable (well she always has) and he showed more of his soft side, like they put that much trust on each other. And I can clearly more of see Alexander's vulnerable sides when he's blushing or too stuned by Emma in general. I'm all for it. Excited for the next volume!

I love this continuation of the first volume. The art style continues to be great and the characters are still in love. They really are super cute together! I think one thing I really liked are the filler pages that have a little more insight into the characters’ thoughts and feelings or even from the point of view of tableware. Thank you NetGalley and publisher for the e-arc.

The art style is really something! I liked the stories more in this one. The art that goes along with the stories are actually to die for. LOVE THEM!

I devoured the second book immediately after finishing the first one, that's how touching this story is. There are no words that could help me describe the variety of emotions I went through. All I can say is I can't wait to discover their story in other incoming books. This manga feels like a warm hug on a cold sad autumn day.

I cannot get over how incredibly beautiful the art is in this book. Having it done in full colour was such a great choice and adds so much to it. I love seeing all the different outfits and especially love the attention to detail in their hair and Her eyes.
Even though there isn’t much of an overall plot to this book, I love seeing the connection between Him and Her. I will absolutely be reading the next volume as well.

This story is so cute! I can’t wait for the next installment. Although it was a high bar, the art improved in this volume. It’s so beautiful that I may buy a physical copy of the series. The story is so heartwarming and their banter is very entertaining.

I don't think you get it, I'm obsessed. Understanding now that this is a collection of scenes first published online I understand the flow of the story better, but I keep to my opinion that this wither works or doesn't for people, and it certainly does for me.
The dialogue was heartwarming and most of the scenes made me want to snuggle under a blanket with my favorite drink, snow outside, and comforting music on. The whole thing is just such a warm hug and I think that I desperately need to get my hands on physical editions of both volumes so I can show it to my friends and scream.
This feels like a story you can often return to, stare at your favorite pages, reread your favorite scenes, or find comfort in when real people don't love you like these two love each other. Whether you think it's platonic or romantic between these two, I just think it's beautiful and deserves all the attention.
I recommend if you: love cozy vibes / live for some nostalgia / want no hurt all the comfort / characters before plot
I'd say pass if you want: plot that moves somewhere / anything angsty

In volume 2, we follow Him and Her and find out a bit more about them. I love the artwork and the sweet way they have with each other.
