As these charters get closer together I loved seeing the small moments that make up their friendship. It was so wholesome and yet charged with a need to see where they would end up. I love all the inside sketches to. It’s not just telling a story but it’s also a work of art.

This second volume is just as cute as the first. I loved that it was easy to see the characters relationship grow in this volume. My only complaint would be that this story is just romance and doesn't focus on depth but just surface level relationship. I mean I definitely still enjoyed reading it for what it was but would've loved even more.

Volume 1 was amazing and volume 2 is just as amazing. I absolutely love the art style, characters and their story. It is such a quick sweet read.
I can't wait for volume 3!

“No, I don't think you understand… I'm obsessed”
The art. The dialogues. The Story. The characters. It is the same felling as in the hand scene in pride & prejudice (‘05 version).
I want what they have. If you like romance, you should check out this manga.

Volume 2 of Veil is where I finally understood what this two volume comic series is all about. I found the art of both to be beautiful. I had wondered to myself why it felt a little bit disjointed and had so many random moments of time patch-worked together. Now I get it.
Veil is the accumulation of artworks by artist Kotteri! This is a special comic created due to the interest and curiosity of people who follow Kotteri online and have wondered at the relationship of the woman and man Kotteri often drew.
I love the concept of this. I love the ambiguity of who they are and even the nature of their relationship. I love the feeling that we will always be on the outside and the only people that know the truth are the two of them. Both volumes are executed beautifully. They give the multimedia feel of looking through something from a time long past.
If you love art and artists, and you enjoy the idea of reading something that does something wholly unique, you will love Veil!

Usually when I start reading a manga series, I'll read one volume... and then do something else for a while, and come back and read the next one and let it simmer for a while.
For Veil, I immediately picked up volume 2 as soon as I finished volume 1. This manga is so sensual?? Volume 2 as well is a series of little snapshots into the lives of "her" and "him" (with an afterword by the creator about how these names were assigned by twitter watches - very cute) and their ambiguous but sensual relationship. It's gorgeous and I can't believe there's more than two volumes in my future, I will be waiting ever so impatiently to get them into my little clutching hands.
Thank you again to Udon Entertainment and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for review!

I quite adore them. Kotteri once again shows us that even the smallest glimpses of their lives have so much meaning.
Thank you to NetGalley and Udon Entertainment for the eARC!

Chemistry between them is chef's kisssssssss!!!
I love the art style and the color palette the artist utilizes to express the emotions as well as the vibes of the manga.

Loved this continuation of him and her. Gorgeous sumptuous graphic design. I want prints of nearly every page to hang in my bedroom.

“There’s this warmth between them that can’t quite be called friendship or love.” I’m loving this series! The artwork is beautiful and I love seeing the little snippets of the two main characters’ lives. Watching them care for each other and get more comfortable with each other is so sweet, I love it. I hope the rest of the series is available soon!

Hi,
This was my first Manga I've read where the scenes cut out like short movies. It was different but it was nice. The story was cute. The characters likeable. I wish there was more pages. The slow romance buildup. Overall it was a great quick read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Udon Entertainment for the ARC!
As cozy a read as the first volume, demonstrating a soft intimacy between Emma and Alexander in their day-to-day. As with the prior volume, asides from the traditional paneled comics there are pages of sketches, illustrations, and several short passages dialing into the character's inner thoughts that further add to their characterization. Hands carding through hair and multiple illustrations featuring Alexander helping Emma with her shoes or Emma cheekily sneaking a hand or foot under Alexander's clothing continue to provide a gentle bit of tension in the touches that they share, but as Kotteri outlines in the author's note at the end there's just something nice about how there is no explicit label to their relationship.

We get to see a little more of the characters in this volume where their names are actually used and it's the cutest thing just seeing them together and comfortable with each other but not really an outright couple but definitely in a cute little dynamic where they can just be. I liked it a lot. Nice cozy read with a lot of fashion art which is cute if you like that.

Calming Noir is volume 2 in this manga series.
This volume was similar to the first. The relationship between "him" and "her" was sweet and affectionate. There is still very little that we know about them as we only see snippets of conversations. But the art was interesting and I was a little curious to see how their relationship will progress.

Thank you NetGalley and Udon Entertainment for the ARC!
After finishing the first volume I just HAD to binge read the second volume! Its so easy to get hooked and the pages fly by so fast, I wish it were longer! The story continues with Emma and Alexander continuing their lives both at work and off the job, this time growing a bit bolder with their banter and interactions, Alexander even noting Emma likes to make sure where he is and what he's doing, even so far as to tease him to distract him. Its such a cute and healthy slow burn relationship, I can't wait to read more about this duo! I am thoroughly hooked!

Volume 2 continues their dreamy lo-fi casual romance. Emma touches on her blindness and she tries to see the essence of Alexander while touching his hand while they are out for dinner. She calls out Alexander as his heart beats faster. The romance is definitely there but I’m fine with the slow drip feeding.
The writing in this volume is superb, I loved Emma’s line ‘I told him my face is my third hand. It’s important” And this is from the monologue right after a cute night time scene between the two. Again, the art is superb in this volume and brings out the beauty in this story.
Thank you Netgalley and Udon Entertainment for the eARC.

I have received an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Much like volume one, it is a little hard to piece together a time line between the scenes, but Veil is really more about the vibes and general feeling of Emma and Aleksander's relationship, than the plot. The teasing has been amped up, with a hint of absurd humor, their interactions are livelier and we get to find out a little more about both of them this time.
To me, this is the slow burn romance of the year.

Ahhhhh, my heart is in shambles again. They make my heart break so many times. I love them so much. Their softness, the easiness in their words, in the gestures is just otherworldly. The illustrations, once again, won me over. Oh, to be them! The diversity of outfits and the cute and endearing poses!!!! I can't express properly my love, but this manga is splendid.
'She likes to touch things that move.'

WOW I did not think I could love this couple even more, but I'm absolutely smitten. I wanted a hundred more pages of Emma & Alexander in this volume.
We get to see their relationship cross that friendship line a bit in this volume, perfectly setting us up for what, I'm sure, we'll be a spectacular romance in later volumes. I absolutely love how Emma is not your typical FMC. She's bold and isn't afraid to explore her desires. Alexander is so sweet; I love that he is usually the one blushing.
The art style continues to evoke that je ne sais quoi Parisian feeling that I absolutely love. I need poster sized versions for my walls! I will now be eagerly awaiting the next volume.
Thank you Udon Entertainment and NetGalley for the e-arc.
