I don't think you get it, I'm obsessed. Understanding now that this is a collection of scenes first published online I understand the flow of the story better, but I keep to my opinion that this wither works or doesn't for people, and it certainly does for me.
The dialogue was heartwarming and most of the scenes made me want to snuggle under a blanket with my favorite drink, snow outside, and comforting music on. The whole thing is just such a warm hug and I think that I desperately need to get my hands on physical editions of both volumes so I can show it to my friends and scream.
This feels like a story you can often return to, stare at your favorite pages, reread your favorite scenes, or find comfort in when real people don't love you like these two love each other. Whether you think it's platonic or romantic between these two, I just think it's beautiful and deserves all the attention.
I recommend if you: love cozy vibes / live for some nostalgia / want no hurt all the comfort / characters before plot
I'd say pass if you want: plot that moves somewhere / anything angsty

In volume 2, we follow Him and Her and find out a bit more about them. I love the artwork and the sweet way they have with each other.

This volume was even cuter than the first one! I loved it so much, and I'm obsessed with the art style.

While it doesn’t happen much in this manga, it feels so warm to read this story and see how the two main characters, him and her, fully trust each other, also loved the titbits of text the author give us in some pages.
Again I cant stress how much I enjoyed reading this manga and I really recommend this manga for everyone who likes a mature love story without having to say I love you, hey this could be a perfect gift for valentines day.
Thank you NetGalley and Udon Entertainment, for the free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

First of all, I want to thank UDON Entertainment for this ARC, and that’s my honest opinion.
ENG: The story of Emma and Alexander continues, made up of small stolen moments, snapshots or little more. The relationship between the two is difficult to define, poised between what is and what could be. There is desire and there is fear. There are many small steps, and hopefully they can lead to something more. Always more than recommended.

I was, once again, completely charmed and transported by the second volume of Kotteri's vignette-style manga, Veil.

It's nice to see how he tries more and more to understand the reality of their lives. How she goes from a rich girl to a woman who explores the world in her own way. Especially with the senses that don't involve your eyes. I find it heartbreaking how he too changes and develops a different perspective. Even without intimate gestures, the small gifts say more than a thousand words. Which I personally like better.

I love this series. The aesthetic is so beautiful with the colors and sketches, it's perfect. I really like these little slices of life and seeing their relationship evolves. Really interested in continuing this manga!

This was the perfect follow-up to the story, and it was so nice to see them get closer and better understand how she experiences the world through smell, touch, and sound. The colors and the art in the story are to die for. I absolutely love them!

This was a nice follow up, it has the same vibe but the story feels a little cozier in a way, it's entertaining and the artwork it's really fitting and beautiful!

More of the same as last volume, but the color work is gorgeous, as is the style. It’s like a Leydendecker painting but het

Excellent follow up in the series. Loved the romance, the art style and the overall plot. I’m very excited to explore more volumes. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC! Opinions are my own.

Thank you to Udon Entertainment for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
I am becoming slightly obsessed with this manga. Not only is the artwork exquisite, but I have settled into the rhythm of the snapshots of the main characters' new lives together.
I would say this volume seems to infer that their relationship is progressing into something romantic - they are far more comfortable with each other in many ways, but nothing overt happens. This is tantalising and I think it is up to the reader to decide what happens between them when the manga panels end.
I can't wait to get my hands on physical copies of this manga and for subsequent volumes to become available!

Loved love loved this, the art is a masterpiece and the romance? I loved it so much. I need to buy the physical copy asap

They are the perfect combination of soft and intimate but also funny. The vibes are just ✨ immaculate ✨

Veil Volume 2: Calming Noir by Kotteri!
🎨Kotteri’s artwork is beautifully romantic, and you can see their love for the female form, fashion, and human connection in each detail. The entire story feels like a romantic art book, and the details tell you so much more when you look closely.
🌹These volumes embody the tiny, beautiful moments in a budding relationship. The smallest details aren’t overlooked: moments together sitting on the couch, having a cup of coffee or a sip of alcohol, walking down the street, or simply existing with one another. These little moments are illustrated and conveyed in a way that demonstrates the growing love and comfort of our runaway heiress and Mr. Police Officer.
😌It is a simple, cozy, and wholesome read that leaves you wanting more. Every little touch, smile, blush, and flirtation brings butterflies to my stomach as you remember the beautiful beginnings of love and the little daily comforts of a long, loving relationship.
👗👗👗👗👗/5⭐️

in a world full of explicit content (who I don't dislike at all) it was quite refreshing reading this slow burn where you can feel the feeling toward each mc without any kiss

Veil is a simple story. We follow 'her' and 'him' as they bump into each other and become colleges, friends, and potentially, something more. Emma is a runaway heiress, desperate to find her independence despite her blindness. Alexander is a police officer who offers her a job as a receptionist.
The story is told through quick vignettes, showing us simple glimpses of their lives as they grow closer. This whole series is effortlessly romantic. Every chapter is full of longing, soft glances, and heart achingly sweet touches. There's so many small details that make this so tender. He always touches her hand before touching her face, just to let her know it's him. She asks him to describe colors or paintings, and never fails to compliment his romantic descriptions. He gives her near full independence, but she never wants it if he isn't with her.
While my thoughts are mainly the same with this volume as the previous one, this does show both characters more playful sides as they grow more comfortable with each other.
Then there's the art. It's absolutely stunning. I love manga artists who have a strong love for fashion, which Kotteri clearly does. Emma is always in beautiful dresses and furs, her hair done in curls. Even Alexander's police uniform, which he wears most of the scenes, is striking and fits him perfectly. Both volumes are in full color, mainly primary pastels, and it gives this dreamlike vintage feel. There are also tons of wonderful standalone art pieces filling out the pages. They look like something ripped straight from a fashion magazine.

Ahhhhh right from the start my heart melted and I have not stop smiling since! Emma and Alexander grew closer in this second volume and i thought they were even more radiant and beautiful together because of their growing feelings! And not only was their sweet and soft romance adorable, but I also LOVED the fashion in this series of vignettes...probably a tiny bit more than the first! The artwork was just as striking as before, with brilliant composition, dazzling colour and energetic layouts that had fantastic flow! I loved both Veil 1 & 2 and both of these volumes so far were a gorgeous capture of their cinematic love story that will live on in my heart and my mind for a very long time!

I loved getting to see more of Emma and Aleksander’s relationship. Their dynamic together is so entrancing. I’m obsessed with the art style and color palette.I especially appreciate how the author writes Emma’s blindness, the ease which it’s included. And the situations the characters end up in due to it. Just adorable.
Will definitely be preordering this one.
