I really really enjoyed this title.
I always enjoy a Daniel Hurst book!
Again Daniel has written a top notch story with twists and turns that you do not see coming.
If you are after a thriller that leaves you on the edge of your seat then this story is for you!
Thanks for the chance to read and review this title. I really enjoyed it.
5/5 stars as always for Daniel Hurst.

Baby Swap had an intriguing premise, and the first half pulled me in right away. The tension was high, the pacing was quick, and I was fully invested in where the story was going. But as the book progressed, it started to lose some of that intensity, and by the second half, it wasn’t as much of a page-turner as I had hoped.
Daniel Hurst does a great job building suspense early on, and I appreciated the way the story unfolded. However, I found myself wanting more twists or higher stakes to keep that momentum going. While the ending wrapped things up, it didn’t leave the lasting impact I was expecting.
Overall, Baby Swap is a decent read with a compelling setup, but the second half didn’t quite deliver the same punch as the beginning. If you enjoy domestic thrillers with an intriguing premise, it’s worth picking up.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A solid start, but the ending felt rushed.

OMG what can I say!
A gripping fast paced read that I found so hard to put down. Another 5 star book by Daniel Hurst.

Daniel Hurst is one of my favorite authors. Loved this book! Keep me interested from beginning to end! So many twists. I was left stunned at the end. I needed more!

This book has you hooked from the get go since the opening chapter is the baby swap happening! Immediately you want to read on to find out who, what, when and why?! I’ve read many books by this author and will continue to read me. They never disappoint!

Perfect for Frieda fans!!!
The Baby Swap by Daniel Hurst is a suspenseful and gripping psychological thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The story begins with a terrifying situation: a mother, still recovering from childbirth, is handed a baby who isn’t hers. Despite everyone around her dismissing her concerns, she is convinced that her real son has been taken, and she will stop at nothing to get him back.
The novel alternates between the perspectives of two women—one who desperately wants her own child back and the other who has swapped her baby with a newborn in the hospital for reasons she is too terrified to reveal. This dual narrative adds layers of tension as both women grapple with the consequences of their actions, with each moment bringing the situation closer to unraveling.
Hurst’s writing is fast-paced and full of twists, and he masterfully creates a sense of paranoia and urgency. The deeper you delve into the motivations behind the baby swap, the more chilling the story becomes, with unexpected revelations that keep the stakes high. The book explores themes of desperation, moral ambiguity, and the lengths a mother will go to protect her child.
The Baby Swap is a dark and twisted thriller that’s impossible to put down. If you’re a fan of high-stakes suspense with complex, flawed characters, this book will have you hooked from start to finish.

I'm reviewing this via NetGalley, as part of a tour with Bookouture.
This was a dark, twisty psychological thriller that played with my head from the beginning. The story follows two new mothers, Avril and Jade. I was keen to know more about both characters, and initially, I found Avril to be a little bit more likeable than Jade, though in some ways, I identified more with how Jade expressed herself. These were only first impressions, and I wondered if my opinions might change later on.
As the story progressed, I found that I wanted to understand both characters; their motivations and intentions. I was intrigued by them both, as I had unanswered questions, and I felt the only way to find the answers was to follow both these characters to the end.
If you're in the mood for a page turner that will keep you guessing, give this a try.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and to the author, for the opportunity to read and review this.

The Baby Swap by Daniel Hirst, after Avril gives birth to her and Bobby‘s beautiful son she couldn’t be prouder but on the day she is to go home she knows this baby isn’t hers. Too bad no one believes her. Well no one except for Jade her roommate in the hospital she also knows why this is happening but by the time these two women see each other again one of them may not live through it. if you think I’ve given any plot points away trust me when I say this book is too twisty for such a simple explanation. It seems like every book Daniel hurst writes just gets better and better and this one is a freaking doozy. Once again I wouldn’t stop reading until you stop saying words because the twist do not stop coming. #NetGalley, #Bookouture,#TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #DanielHurst, #TheBabySwap,

Another enjoyable read from Daniel Hurst, this thriller had me hooked from the start. It’s everyone parents especially mothers worse nightmare- your baby being swapped! But not by accident but on purpose and for the most spiteful reason- revenge!
It follows two women- Avril, a happily married woman with a high flying career, beautiful house and finally pregnant after IVF treatment- sounds pretty much perfect. Then there’s Jade, a thirty something single woman with no job, money or future prospects who finds herself pregnant after a one night stand with a vile man who is now behind bars.
Both women have met several years ago which didn’t go well, one doesn’t remember but the other does and it’s her chance to get revenge. A very intense and emotional story, I was gripping onto my kindle so tightly. I had an idea of how the ending would go but in Daniel Hursts style, he added his flair to it!

Having recently delved into Hurst’s books, I’ve found myself generally enjoying his work. This latest novel revolves around two women who give birth in the same hospital at the same time, with one making the drastic decision to swap the babies. As the story unfolds, the intricate connections between their lives are revealed.
While the premise was engaging and made for a fun read, there were moments when the plot stretched the bounds of probability. Despite this, the book was a solid read that effectively kept my interest, and I’m keen to continue exploring more of Daniel Hurst’s books.

Baby Swap by Daniel Hurst was a slow burner.
This book was written poorly. One of the main characters was very in part written to be a high profile but was unable to notice very straight forward things which would have ended the book by 50%. None of the twists were shocking.
I would not recommend this book.
Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, electronic ARC of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
I was initially really excited to read The Baby Swap, but I found the storyline a bit too far-fetched, with too many coincidences that made it difficult to fully immerse myself in the plot. While the premise was intriguing, the execution felt a little unrealistic at times.
I also struggled to connect with the characters, as I found them both irritating in different ways. That said, the book still delivers a fast-paced, twisty read that keeps you turning the pages. It’s an entertaining and thought-provoking thriller, even if it lacks a bit of depth. Daniel Hurst has certainly written stronger books, but for those looking for a quick and engaging read, this one might still be worth picking up.

Publication date February 19, 2025.
First read by Daniel Hurst. I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley. This does not affect my honest review that follows.
I finished it before then but then was traveling. Don't know if I can ever get done on the right date.
This was a thrilling book, especially if you are a mom. Don't we have enough things to worry about before we give birth for the first time?
Two moms give birth on the same day, same hospital. When the one baby cries nonstop, one of the moms (Jade) decides she will swap her baby boy for another one nearby. The other baby is a seemingly perfect baby. Since the title tells this much, it's not much of a spoiler. Jade has considered giving her baby up for adoption since she is a single mom to be. But she doesn't make a decision, so here she is in the hospital giving birth. The first couple chapters cover the birth of the babies, but the swap is in the prologue.
The chapters alternate between Jade and Avril, the mother of the baby that was swapped.
The two moms will be found to have a history. I don't want to give any spoilers, but an exciting book and worth your time to read.
There are many twists and turns in this story, and I certainly did not see the end coming.
Will check out a few more of his books in the future.

If you like a revenge story with completely unhinged characters, this is the book for you. The title speaks for itself regarding the plot leading to a chain of events that unravels the characters' lives in unimaginable ways. Full of twists and secrets that I didn't see coming, I couldn't put this book down. I rate this book 4/5 stars as it wasn't the ending I'd hoped for. I had hoped Jade and Bobby would somehow find their way back to each other and escape with both babies. Definitely a bingeable read and want to read more books from Daniel Hurst.

The ending was good and I did not to see it coming. This is very fast paced and hard to put down. The pacing is really good. This is a really great thriller! Special Thank You to Daniel Hurst, Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! This was definitely a crazy book and I loved every part of it! Daniel Hurst does it again. I always love different POV chapters and honestly I don’t know who I was supposed to hate, Jade or Avril but Avril takes the prize! I just loved this twisty book!
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this copy!!

I just love Daniel! I don’t know how he thinks of such creepy, scary, suspenseful stories but I am here for it! Always a quick read and always entertaining!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this arc! Highly recommend!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book. In an honest review, I found the plot to be unrealistic. The feud between the main characters was surface level and not at all believable. The “twist” at the ended bumped it to 2 stars instead of 1.

The Baby Swap by Daniel Hurst was another excellent read from start to finish.
Daniel Hurst is the master of fast-paced thrillers which is always full of twist and turns that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. I just love the way this author writes and he writes in such away that will have you hooked from the very beginning till the very end. this book was no different especially as I ended up reading it all day, I found it hard to put it down.
Another Superb Book and I highly recommend it
