Fans of the Psy-Changeling series will love this fresh installment. Paranormal romance with a bit of mystery and suspense, all in a gorgeously detailed setting makes this a fun read. Justice-Psy Eleri Dias must risk it all to stop a serial killer. She will only succeed if Falcon wing leader Adam Garrett is able to forgive a past betrayal and join forces to stop the killer. This story is full of all kinds of tension and secondary characters who almost steal the show.

Personally, I appreciated that the focus of this story felt more micro, saving individuals, rather than the macro attempts to save the entire Psy-Net in previous titles. Yes, the action in this story could have a far-reaching impact that affects the Psy-Changeling Trinity world, but I was emotionally invested in these specific characters and enjoyed every page of them.

3.5 stars - The biggest thing I enjoyed about this installment is the answer to a major problem that has been hovering over the series' characters for a loonnng time. Very exciting to see macro plot development!
The downside is that I just didn't feel super connected to the characters in the story. I think I'm hitting up against the Dunbar number in terms of running out of emotional engagement fuel for how many characters and communities we now have. I just can't keep track of everyone, much less emotionally invest.
So overall - a fine entry but my brain is struggling to keep up and my heart isn't able to invest as deeply at this point

Another great installment in the psy-changeling series. The main characters were compelling, as was their love story. The race against time added a unique twist. Revisited some former characters as well, As always, nalini sigh writes a beautiful story, even though I have an idea of the ending, she always takes us on a ride.

I am still very much a fan of this series! This entry in the Psy/Changling series shifts to the point of view of the falcons and other bird shifters in the hunt for a serial murderer. It also took an interesting step in the overall storyline and I can’t wait to see where Singh takes the story next.

Nalini Singh is an absolute queen of paranormal romance! I love how each subsequent book adds more and more to the Psy/Changeling world!

Adam and Eleri were a compelling couple - a falcon alpha and a Justice psy who met as teenagers and knew that they were meant to be something special, but feelings of betrayal separated them for a decade. It was fascinating to see an alpha who felt the mate bond so young and that Eleri felt it as well, even as a Psy under Silence. While I do think Adam’s feelings and reversal of “I hate you and can never feel the same way about you again” to “I love you and will die for you and do everything I can to keep you safe” was quick, it’s also understandable given the Changeling mentality around mates and the world that Nalini has built.

I just absolutely love this series and will devour every book that comes out for it. I would love to see more from the underwater Changelings and hope those books come out soon!

I have read each of Nalini Singh Psy series books, along with her stand-alone mysteries. These books are so entertaining. They allow me to escape from the world we live in right now. Well written. Exciting story-lines. Great character development. 20/10

I loved this book for its emotional depth, the complex characters, and the slow-burning romance that had me rooting for Eleri and Adam every step of the way. If you’re a fan of the Psy-Changeling series, this one is absolutely worth the read. It’s everything I’ve come to expect from Nalini Singh: exciting, heartfelt, and impossible to put down.

SPOILER WARNING!!!

Another intense and emotional read by one of the best (if not THE best) author of paranormal romance! I devoured this book in one sitting.
I loved both Eleni and Adam and it was great to see more of the falcons, but I struggled with Adam's motivation. He went from "I hate and will never forgive you" to "I can't live without you" in an instant, fast enough to give me whiplash.
Despite this, I loved diving into the world of falcons. Be prepared to have your heart torn out when reading about the Justice Psy and hug the book to your chest when you finish.
Fabulous!

I loved this addition to the series. The falcons were so interesting and I can't wait to read more about them it was also great to hear more about the Js.

Aaaahhh yeah, we finally get non-mammal changelings! Adam is the leader of the Windhaven Clan, in the American Southwest (finally, a desert setting!). Eleri is a Justice Psy, someone who can retrieve (but must relive) the memories of murderers and generally awful people to bring them to justice in the legal system. Over the years, she’s had to seek treatment for what the unrelenting trauma has done to her brain, and she’s reached her breaking point, escaping to Windhaven to find a final peace. But there, something’s happening, and Eleri can’t let evil go un-apprehended while she’s conscious. Adam and Eleri knew each other once, years ago, and their meeting again is fraught with decades of tension. Before Eleri can rest, she is determined to catch a serial killer, one who’s striking closer and closer to Windhaven.

Adam is great, I love a confident and caring Alpha, and Eleri is great as well (I’m a sucker for a damaged Psy with a mission).

This is such an amazing series and I loved getting to know the eagles clan. This story has some emotional moments but the good thing about a long series is I was able to sit back and fully trust Nalini Singh to make it all work out.

I loved Eleri and Adam both right away. They have sacrificed so much for others and both experienced a lot of loss. I enjoyed seeing them fall for each other despite their history. I think what they went through made them better partners for each other.

Reading this book also made me think a lot about how the changelings create such loving communities. I think one thing that has made me happy to read all 24 books in this series is how much I love the sense of safety that community provides for the characters. I also love that the length of the series allows for a huge complex world without a large portion of each story being focused on worldbuilding. I loved seeing some of my favorite characters from earlier books in this one.

If you like shifters you have to try this series. It is one you'll want to start from the beginning but you won't regret it! This is such an interesting world and you come to care about the characters so much. 100% recommend!

This is a story that stays with you. The characters are written with such beautiful depth and their journey is so moving that you can’t help but imagine this love story like a movie. I loved the setting, the story, the tragic moments, and the hope of it.

oved this story with a broken J Psy Eleri and a Falcon Shifter Adam. It was a beautiful love story. We got to experience the mating bond from both sides. It was nice to see some old friends too.

First Impressions
Atonement Sky is the latest release in the Psy Changeling and Trinity world. When I received this ARC in exchange for a honest review from Berkley Publishing, I felt more than honored. In Atonement Sky, Nalini Singh takes us on a journey here into the changeling world and in this story we get to explore the falcon territory of the Wind Haven Changelings. This territory is in Arizona, surrounded by cliffs of red and orange rock with a calming forest nearby. I loved the exploration of another changeling group, and this book was so atmospheric and deeply emotional. I think this is one of the most emotional books of the whole series actually. It had me so deep in my feels, its not even funny and I soaked it up like a sponge.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Falcon Wing Leader: Adam Garrett
The Heroine: Justice Psy Eleri Dias

Summary
Justice Psy Eleri Dias knows that due to what she has been forced to do, the psychic exposure to her brain is becoming fatal and she knows that her time is limited. But she is determined to solve the riddle of the serial killer and save who she can before she is gone from the world. But she is faced with a man whom she shared a connected with as a teenager.....Adam Garrett. Adam lost his parents to a killer and he blamed Eleri for it, not understanding the complexities of the situation that she was in. And he is determined to make her pay for her part in it. But as they search together for the serial killer, the bond between them grows, the past comes to light and both find redemption in each other's arms....but this serial killer has set his sights on Eleri and will stop at nothing to destroy her...

What I Loved
The depth of emotion is what made this book work so well for me in this one. Nalini Singh really upped her game with this one, there were so many factors into this story that just worked just perfectly for me. There is something so magical about the way that Nalini Singh writes and this one was no different. But I will say that Atonement Sky had something to the story that just hit on a different level than what I was expecting. I will say that this is probably the most heart wrenching romance she has written in the trinity series. The journey that our couple faces here is a tough one and isn't for the faint of heart. Their intimacy....their growth ....the hurdles they overcome both internally and externally captivates the attention so quickly. Their romance was beyond poignant and the moment you reach about halfway I guarantee that you won't be able to put it down. The story really escalates very quickly from there and it will leave you on the edge of your seat. The atmospheric elements to this story are so vividly picturesque. She does this element very well in her books....but it literally had me breathing the air of the Arizona cliffs. The exploration that we see digging into the falcon clan was captivating and I honestly didn't want to let go of them at all!!! I fell so in love with so many members of this clan and they literally had me laughing or crying all over the place within this story. I really really want Jacques to have a book though, not sure it will happen....we shall see what this author plans in future books.

What I Struggled With
The pacing in the first half is what I struggled with the most. While its not super slow or anything, it definitely didn't grab my attention like the second half actually did. So it definitely could have been a bit more engaging. This can happen in some of her books especially this series, not sure why, maybe its just an aspect in the world building she does. But keep that in mind and being patient with the writing because I promise .....the patience and waiting is definitely worth it.

Overall View
Atonement Sky is an emotionally charged romance that digs deep into the journey of connection, healing and growth that forms so stunningly. A SOARING GEM OF A READ!

I screamed when I saw this email appear in my inbox giving me access to the arc of this book. It was my anticipated read for 2025 and absolutely did not disappoint!

I was looking forward to this one as we finally get to visit a Changeling group we have yet to connect with the Windhaven clan. We met Adam in Mercy and Riley’s book and I was already intrigued by him.

From the get go, the push-pull that was missing in the recent books was very much present here! This one speaks to second chance connection as Adam and Eleri met when they were young but were never meant to be due to circumstances…Fast forward to the present where Eleri arrives in the town where Adam’s clan resides on a personal hunt for a serial killer due to her work …and she and Adam met…the angst, yearning and the feelsssss!! This book took me through an emotional wringer! Due to their past history, Adam struggles with forgiving Eleri and would keep himself at arms’ length but could not help but feel the pull to always seek her out.

|Life was…beautiful..and more painful than death|

I love the characters assembled and the supporting characters here. Eleri is such a strong and determined character. While she lost her ability to “feel”, she very much knows what she is to Adam and wants to make up for the past hurt she caused him. Because of this, she leaves it to Adam to dictate the nature of the relationship and would never lie to him after being forced to do it in the past and destroying the nature of their relationship before it even began. Adam is such a strong “Wingleader” (Alpha). His ability to be there for his clan and his capacity to feel is huge. I was cheering him on when he finally forgives Eleri as the fault was never hers in the first place and could have caused her, her life.

|You’re enough. You’ve always been enough|

I also love that the side story of the hunt for the serial killer combined with the threat of Eleri’s phy shields giving out went hand in hand with the romance making this a dynamic read leaving me guessing who was the serial killer!. I also like the brief respite we got from the overarching story which leads to more character development and a focus on the romance of the main couple with some interesting romance happening with some of the side characters!

There were some cameos from the past characters we know and love as the world Nalini introduced us to has grown so with many intersecting characters in place. This book is definitely a salute to her older series and will probably be one of my top favourites in this series besides Silver Silence.

I am genuinely not sure how much point there is in writing this review - how many people are reading the reviews of the…. 24th book in a series? If you slogged through Ocean Light, you’re in this series to the bitter end. But, Netgalley gave me a copy in exchange for an honest review so here we are!

I think it’s very clear in this series that Singh is getting a little tired of the romance, because this book has followed a trend of increasingly rushed romances while the world is being developed. Having two “matings at first sight” books so close together was a little frustrating. I *miss* the development of a relationship.

I am very glad to see one of the major challenges facing our heroes this whole series has been resolved. I wish, however, that we got to see Eleri learn about who she is after the climax of the book.

See you all in book 25

Nalini Singh knows the perfect recipe to blend thrill, mystery and romance, perfectly. This surprised me in the best way possible but I knew I was going to love it. Eleri is such a complex and unique character that has been through hell. I absolutely adored her. She’s now one of my favorite heroines of Nalini’s. I also loved Adam. He’s wild yet stoic but he worships Eleri. I absolutely adored them together.

I started this book thinking I would only read a little but ended up staying up until three am, hooked by these characters and this story. One of my favorites yet!

Thank you to the publisher for providing access to an early copy of Atonement Sky by Nalini Singh!

This book is a new installment in the Psy-Changeling Trinity series. As a long-time fan of Nalini Singh, I found this story to be one of her stronger recent works. It follows a J-Psy named Eleri Dias, who is on the trail of a serial killer known as Sandman. During her investigation, she reconnects with her first love, Adam Garrett, who is now the Wing Leader for the Windhaven clan. Their past is filled with a lot of pain, and this encounter brings back all the old wounds.

I liked the story's emphasis on the mystery surrounding the serial killer and the search for a cure for J-Psy, whose psychic shields are rapidly deteriorating. I found these elements particularly engaging. However, the resolution of Eleri and Adam's past issues felt rather quick, and I wasn't entirely convinced by their romance. That said, I enjoyed this installment more than some of the more recent publications in the series. I was also fascinated by the Windhaven clan and would love to see a book focused on Bram and Dahlia's story!

All I can say is WOW! Nalini Singh books are always surprising, interesting, emotional and wonderful. But, I think this may be one of her best. Usually once an author gets this far into a series it starts to feel like the same book over and over. That is definitely not the case here. The storyline grows and changes enough to keep it feeling new and different with each book while still maintaining the plot. Eleri and Adam are amazing well written characters that you can't help but love. I can't wait to see where we go from here.

Nalini Singh never misses!!! I absolutely adored this book, the latest installment in the Psy Changeling Trinity series. I always love meeting a new changeling pack, and after seeing Adam and the falcons mentioned in previous books, it was great to really dive in, and see the differences between them and some of the other changeling packs we already know. I also loved getting to know Eleri and some other Justice Psy. It has been a while since a book focused on one of them. The relationship between Eleri and Adam was complicated at first, but once the pair communicated, the love that bloomed between them was beautiful. The challenges they went through made me cry multiple times. This book was definitely a more relationship heavy installment of the series, where not much happened in the wider overarching plot, but some key things did happen.
