There is unexpected sweetness about Atonement Sky. I never thought I would classify a book in this series as cozy, but here we are. I think it’s Nalini Singh's kindness and generous spirit that shines through her and into her stories. Threads of love and hope are woven into the texture and fabric of the pages. I dunno, there’s just something special about this one, guys.

A beautifully emotional return to the Psy-Changeling world.

Reading Atonement Sky felt like sinking into something familiar and deeply comforting. Nalini Singh continues to craft stories that feel both expansive and intimate, and this one hit every emotional beat I was hoping for.

We finally get a full look at WindHaven, home of the falcon changelings, and I loved every detail. Adam Garrett has appeared before, but this was the first time we got to see the full picture. He is loyal, protective, and still deeply shaped by a tragedy from his past. Eleri, the Justice-Psy whose time is running out, wrecked me. She is worn thin and facing the end of her life, yet still trying to make things right and bring a killer to justice.

Their shared history adds weight to every interaction. This is a story about atonement, grief, and choosing connection even when it feels impossible. Adam could have stayed angry. Eleri could have shut down completely. Instead, they find their way back to each other in a way that felt raw and deeply emotional.

The mystery surrounding the Sandman killer was sharply written and kept me guessing. I really appreciated how it tied into the larger struggles of the Js, adding more depth to a part of Psy society that has often been overlooked.

What stood out most, though, was the hope woven through the pain. Even in the darkest moments, there is a sense that love, family, and community can still win. That matters. Especially now.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Pub for this earc

This book was so good. I kept me on the edge me sit all the way till the end. The stress lever was just insane. But it also made me cry when I didn’t expect to cry.
And I was very nice to see some of the older characters. Especially baby Naia.
I don’t think bird will ever be my favorite type of shifters, but it was definitely cool to learn more.

ATONEMENT SKY was another excellent story in an excellent series. J-Psy Eleri Dias has one last goal before she succumbs to her mind's disintegration. She wants to catch the notorious serial killer known as the Sandman who has developed a fixation on her and keeps sending her letters.

However, doing so will take her to the Arizona desert and a meeting with falcon that she met when she was an apprentice in her trade. Adam Garrett if the wing leader of his clan and has hated Eleri for years. Her mentor lied during the case trial of the murders of his parents, and the murderer got off with the official verdict of an accidental death. Adam blames Eleri for not stepping in and contradicting her mentor.

This ill feeling is complicated by the fact that the two of them were destined to be mates. But the years have changed both of them. Silence has fallen and the Psy are hanging on by a thread. And Eleri has had her mind worked on so much by her keepers that she is almost completely emotionless.

This story was engaging. I loved the relationship that grew between Adam and Eleri. I liked the focus on the winged clan. I also liked the way many of the different groups managed to work together to solve a problem plaguing the Psy and the humans.

24 books in and the series continues to be flawless. Ms. Singh continues to keep the series fresh and each book adds more to the storyline in a creative and interesting way. I'm amazed there she takes the characters and how the storyline has developed over the years.

Justice-Psy Eleri Dias is on the hunt for a serial killer before she flames out forever, even if it means reuniting with Falcon wing leader Adam Garrett, her mate, who she betrayed 10 years ago. Eleri & Adam's search for the killer brings forgiveness and hope for Psy as they continue to battle the deaggregation of the Net.

This book continues to move the series plot forward. I cannot wait to see where this series goes next.

I received this advance review copy from NetGalley & the publisher for my honest review.

I have loved the Psy-Changeling series from the start, and I enjoy Nalini Singh's other series as well. This book is part of the larger story arc of the Psy world, and this book focuses on Adam Garrett, the leader of an avian clan of shapeshifters, and Eleri Dias, a J-Psy nearing the end of her mental stability. The romance is fairly simple - Adam and Eleri met when she was a trainee J, and it's fairly obvious that they likely knew at that point they could have a mating bond. A travesty of justice occurs, and Adam and Eleri's paths diverge. Eleri returns to the slot canyons of a Sedona-like home territory of the winged changelings to search out a serial killer before her mind finally breaks.

It's a solid entry into the series, and there are new characters introduced that can fill out the winged shapeshifter arc. There's some movement into the overall Psy timeline, but this book is more about learning the winged shapeshifter world, and other books can continue the disintegration of the Psy-Net. This is a must read book for those who have enjoyed the journey thus far - it's definitely not a mid-series entry point for new readers though.

Nalini Singh continues to write captivating characters and expand the magical world she has created in the Psy-Changeling universe.

Eleri, a J Psy, and Adam, a Changeling Wing-Leader, are unexpectedly reunited after a heartbreaking betrayal severed their budding relationship ten years ago.

Forced to work together to catch a serial killer threatening Adam’s home and people, Eleri and Adam fight to resist the very real connection that still lingers between them.

In close proximity Adam begins to realize that the mistakes they made in their youth may not be the insurmountable obstacles he once believed them to be.

Atonement Sky was an angsty second chance romance and wonderful addition to the Psy-Changeling Trinity.

(I loved that we got to see Sophie and Max)

Great and quick read that starts slow but builds up. Very enjoyable and glad to get Adam’s story and see the struggle and final acceptance he has to work through.

I adored reading this book! I loved getting to know the falcons, and another side of J-Psy, not to mention the whole murder mystery case going on. The connection between these characters, combined with their past, yeah, it was so good! I really enjoyed Eleri and Adam's story!

This mystery with a serial killer that's formed a connection to Eleri, was so good. That it got her and Adam to reconnect because it's home, was a bonus. When we were in the killer's head, it was pretty creepy, given what they did and their motivations for doing so.

The big question is what happened in their past, that she wants to make up for. That it was something bad, that it was because she's a J, and a tragic part of his past...yeah, I need to know the details, because I was rooting for them and their romance!

Besides the murder and their romance, there was also the plight of J-Psy, because Eleri and her friends are in a precarious situation. I had to know how they were going to resolve things, so that they could survive, and thrive. The tension it brought me was gripping! Absolutely loved watching as they worked on this issue, and what it means for the future, especially the other applications like that ending mentioned!

This was a fantastic read, and I can't wait to read more by Nalini Singh!

When anyone asks I say the psy changeling series is my favorite romance series and it’s still true. Each installment reminds me of how beautiful Singh’s writing is. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book as I didn’t have much connection to Adam or the falcons but I loved this one. I do still hope one day we’ll get a book for Kit and one for Nikita and Anthony as well.

I was interested in getting this book as we can get a little more insight into the WindHaven members. In this series, I've always enjoyed the changelingins more than Psy characters, so I couldn't wait to learn more about these unique shifters.

It was so nice to see the world continuing to expand, grow, and evolve throughout the series. I've been reading this series from the very beginning and while it has come a long way, it has also stayed true to its original essence, which I think is tough to do in this ever-evolving industry where trends come and go. It's a testament to Singh's writing prowess and skill.

My rating might be super bias because you could hand me any book with a Psy/Changeling pairing and I would absolutely enjoy it. Just something about how opposite the two species are is always fun to read about. When I found out this was going to be about WindHaven I was very excited, we’ve seen glimpses in past books of the falcon shifters but never gotten to fully see what their clan life is like. It was so interesting to see the similarities and the differences between them and other Changelings. And we also get to see more of the struggle for the J’s which we were first introduced to with Sophie. My heart broke for how all the J’s just accepted their fate and continued to work to help others and fellow J’s.
Adam and Eleri have a dark past, they met briefly when they were younger and that meeting changed their lives forever. At first Adam is determined to stay away from Eleri but the serial killer she’s in town to catch makes that impossible. When they finally work through things, it’s honestly beautiful and you are on edge wondering how they will overcome all the obstacles in front of them.
It was also really great to see the overall storyline for the series move forward in a big way, a huge problem was solved, at least for now, which is very exciting. Though there are still many, many things that need to be fixed before everyone can relax and enjoy their HEA’s. I look forward to reading whatever comes next for the series.

Side note, someone in this book commented that Sasha and Lucas have been mated for a little over 4 years and that blew my mind. What do you mean it’s only been 4 years since the first book. So much has happened that it seems like it should have been way longer than that.

#AtonementSky #NetGalley was a read it in one sitting kinda book.

Engrossing from the start, the reader initially learns Eleri, a psy paranormal profiler travels in a professional capacity to a town that was part of her past. A past that starred in her memories, for pivotal reasons. This town's clan leader, Adam, is part of those memories and their uneasiness with each other prods the reader to continue to secure the 'why's'.

The author balances nicely their hard fought romance with also dropping hints as mysterious identity of a serial killer and his unhealthy obsession with Eleri. The secondary characters cast in the book were just as memorable as the main characters due to the author's vivid descriptions of their personalities and physical attributes. Enjoyed seeing the one half of the couple that started this series, "Sascha" feature in this book.

When this author turned from the legal profession to the writing profession, she gifted us and continues to do so with these unique, captivating stories. And, that, my fellow readers is evidence of why this was a 'read it in one sitting' kinda read.

Eleri Dias has been reconditioned more times than is safe, her mind shredded, her personality all but erased, with one last task to complete before she can accept the quiet bliss of death.  Capricious fate of course has other plans bringing her face to face with Falcon Wing Leader Adam Garret on his home territory, the one person whom she owes a debt of atonement she can never repay.
Eleri had been a trainee learning how to behave in a court room giving testimony. Adam and his family were there to seek justice for the murder of his parents.  The killer had strong connections to the council and was able to get a J Psy to alter the memories presented in court.  Their first sweet shy encounter lived on in both of them even though the sweetness was erased by the bitterness of injustice.
Now years later, fate has brought Eleri into Adam's territory in search of a serial killer who is fixated on her. One last task she hopes to complete before her condition deteriorates to nothingness.  When first Adam's second is shot and stuck between forms and then his niece becomes the latest victim of the killer, Eleri risks everything including her sense of self to save these pieces of Adam's heart.
The story will grip your heart and emotions and never let go till the very end as Adam finally stands up and recognizes what Eleri is to him and determines to fight with everything, he is to save her and her family.  Ms. Singh has once again delivered a winner; you won't be able to put down. Just make sure you have a lot of tissues close to hand for the tears you will shed for sure.

I loved this book! I've been waiting to be able to get an inside look into the winged changelings. And this book did not disappoint! I felt the romance and the issues with the net were very well handled. I didn't feel overwhelmed with information but also I understood everything that I needed to. I also love the J's! They are really up there for me since Sofia and to see more and watch hem navigate the problems inherent to their gift was (Chefs Kiss). The mystery was good and all the new side characters were awesome. Also seeing old faces from the beginning of the series is always nice. I would defiantly would recommend this book! This amazing book got me out a terribly long reading slump.
Happy reading! Thank you to NetGally for the arc!

This was sweet. And the romance didn’t have the insta-love feel that sometimes mate bonds engender. Probably because it’s been 10 years, which made the couple feel more established. ALSO, I love it when Nalini gives us a 2 for 1 special in the romance department (like when Walker’s romance with SnowDancer healer Lara was featured in Kiss of Snow). I would even go so far as to say that while I loved the character development in Adam+Eleri’s relationship, Delilah’s was hotter lol. Be that as it may, I loved learning more about the J-Psy lore, crumbs about Nikita and Saschaaa darling.

I didn’t guess who the killer was, which was a nice surprise, and I really liked the progression of a major plot point in the overall series.

*Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for graciously providing me with an eARC. All opinions are my own.

J-Psy Eleri Dias is in the trail of a serial killer known as the Sandman which has ked her to the
territory of the Windhaven clan, falcon changelings. She and Adam Garrett, the Falcon wing leader
have past dealings where Adam feels she betrayed him. As the investigation ensues, details of the past
are revealed as well as what the J-Psy designation means. Love how Eleri has established her own
family with three fellow J-Psys . In addition to finding the serial killer, the clock is ticking as
scientists race to discover a way to protect the psychic shields of the J-Psys which are rapidly
deteriorating and leave them defenseless.

A million thanks to Berkley, Nalini Singh, and Netgalley for this ARC!

Atonement Sky is the latest installation in Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling Trinity Series.

This book follows Eleri, a J-Psy whose shields have deteriorated. However, she is determined to track a serial killer that has a fascination with her before her shields fail.

As part of her mission, she goes to Falcon Territory and encounters a falcon she met a long time ago and failed.

I absolutely loved this story. The way the relationship progressed between Eleri and Adam brought me to tears at multiple points. They have such a complicated past but as the story progresses and more is revealed, they are determined that nothing will keep them apart.

I loved the focus on found family for Eleri and getting to see more of the falcons as well. (I can’t forget to mention the secondary romance that sparks- I really enjoyed that too!)

This book moved some of the overarching series plot forward as well. I’m so interested to see where this series goes next!

Fans of the Psy-Changeling series will love this fresh installment. Paranormal romance with a bit of mystery and suspense, all in a gorgeously detailed setting makes this a fun read. Justice-Psy Eleri Dias must risk it all to stop a serial killer. She will only succeed if Falcon wing leader Adam Garrett is able to forgive a past betrayal and join forces to stop the killer. This story is full of all kinds of tension and secondary characters who almost steal the show.

Personally, I appreciated that the focus of this story felt more micro, saving individuals, rather than the macro attempts to save the entire Psy-Net in previous titles. Yes, the action in this story could have a far-reaching impact that affects the Psy-Changeling Trinity world, but I was emotionally invested in these specific characters and enjoyed every page of them.

3.5 stars - The biggest thing I enjoyed about this installment is the answer to a major problem that has been hovering over the series' characters for a loonnng time. Very exciting to see macro plot development!
The downside is that I just didn't feel super connected to the characters in the story. I think I'm hitting up against the Dunbar number in terms of running out of emotional engagement fuel for how many characters and communities we now have. I just can't keep track of everyone, much less emotionally invest.
So overall - a fine entry but my brain is struggling to keep up and my heart isn't able to invest as deeply at this point
