“You’ve always been my greatest adventure, Kate.”
All the stars!!! Every Hour Until Then is a new favorite, thrilling, time slip adventure in the Timeless series. Gabrielle Meyer delivers a fascinating, history infused, heart achingly lovely, forbidden, friends to more romance with spine tingling suspense, & a touch of faith. Set in 1888, England during the horrific Jack the Ripper murders & 1938 in the lead up to WWII, this book kept me enthralled as one woman tries to save her sister from being the 5th victim of history’s most notorious killer.
Kathryn Kelly’s a time crosser with two different lives. One morning she wakes up in 1888, London & the next in 1938, Washington D.C. In 1888, her beloved sister Mary discovers a terrible secret & forced to leave their parents’ home without explanation. Vowing to find her sister & the secret, she discovers a heart-wrenching truth.
In 1938, Kate eagerly accepts the invitation to be a guest curator at the London Museum. It’s the 50th anniversary of the Ripper murders & the museum is featuring a groundbreaking exhibit. As Kate researches, she discovers a shocking fact, her sister Mary is Jack’s fifth victim. Determined to change history & prevent her sister’s murder, she enlists her best friend Austen’s help in 1888. But changing history comes with a cost, she’ll forfeit her life in 1888. Can she defeat a diabolical killer & change the past?
I loved this story! Told with gripping historical detail, it was impossible to put down. I’ve always been fascinated by Jack the Ripper & read endless theories as to who he was. I loved this author’s spin on his identity. The pulse pounding story kept me on my toes with a twist at the end I didn’t see coming. There were several suspects I had my eye on & wow was I surprised!
Kate’s & Austen’s romance was heart achingly lovely. She’s told Austen she’ll choose 1938 when the time comes, but that doesn’t prevent love from blossoming. Their first kiss is both terrifying & thrilling!
I loved seeing familiar faces again & can’t wait for the next adventure. Highly recommend this not to miss story! Please note there are factual descriptions of Jack the Ripper’s murders which sensitive readers might want to be aware of. I received an advanced copy from the author & publisher with no expectation of a positive review & also purchased the audiobook from Audible. All opinions are completely my own & voluntarily provided.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this #gifted book!*

Synopsis: Kathryn lives in two different time periods—1888 and 1938. As a museum curator in 1938, Kathryn is tasked with working on a Jack the Ripper exhibit and soon discovers her sister’s name as the final victim in 1888. Kathryn knows the rules of time crossing: if she knowingly changes history, she forfeits that path. But she can’t just stand aside and watch her sister be murdered. If Kathryn discovers who this mysterious murderer is, she might be able to save her sister, but she may lose the man she loves. As secrets unfold, Kathryn finds herself in a race against time and faced with a heartbreaking choice: save her beloved sister or stay with the love of her life?
Analysis: Historical fiction meets suspense meets mystery in the 5th book in the Timeless Series, and I am here for it! Gabrielle is a mastermind and master storyteller. Somehow each book in this series gets more fascinating! This book has the compelling characters that we’ve all come to know and love in Gabrielle’s writing. The romance is a sweet, slow-burn that you’ll be falling for right alongside the main characters, and the plot in this book takes the time crossing to a whole new level! I loved learning more about the rules of this gift. And the suspense/mystery?! There are twists and turns right until the very end! You’ll want to set aside 24 hours to binge this book because you won’t be able to put it down. Obviously, I’ve loved all the Timeless books, but this may be my favorite one yet! I can’t wait to see what Gabrielle writes next!
Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I love this series so much. Meyer never misses.
I felt like I was reading a thriller with this one. I could NOT put it down. I was sitting on the edge of my seat wondering how the mystery would play out. (Note that I don't read a lot of thillers, do with that information what you will.)
I love how Meyer makes each book unique. It's not the same story told again in a different setting, it's a whole new story with new risks and personality.
One storyline did feel like it had more going on than the other but I think that was the nature of how this one was set up, and it was quite ingenious if you ask me.

Overall I enjoyed this one. The end was a little odd for me but I did liked the storyline and was hooked immediately. However I predicted almost all the twists which was a bummer for me.

This is the 5th book in the Timeless series and I swear each book just keeps getting better. This is definitely my new favorite in the series. I loved how closely related Kathryn’s two paths were, it made the story flow seamlessly and I was equally invested in both paths. It gave major thriller vibes with the Jack the Ripper plot and I was on the edge of my seat. The romance was very sweet, but I actually liked that it didn’t feel like the main focus of the plot. I could not put this book down and stayed up way too late reading. The plot was so twisty, intricate and well-developed! Gabrielle Meyer is a masterful storyteller!

I have enjoyed every one of the books in this series and found this one to be every bit as hard to put down! It was different from the others, with having more of a mystery rather than just what time period the time traveler will chose. I thought that the author did a good job of weaving fact and fiction together, though the mystery behind who Jack the Ripper was (in this book) wound up being kind of different. This one is darker than the others have been, since it deals with a serial killer.

The Timeless series just keeps getting better! This brilliantly plotted dual-timeline story captured me from the beginning and kept me in its grip until I turned the last page with a satisfied sigh. Compelling, expertly crafted characters stirred my emotions and resonated with me long after I finished the story. The history is amazing with the exploration of a theory as to the identity of Jack the Ripper and his motivation for killing and vivid snapshots of life in 1888 and 1938 London. The development of the romantic relationship between Kathryn and Austen is
heartwarming and at times heartbreaking. I appreciate the thought-provoking faith themes focusing on the sovereignty of God and the importance of seeking His will. This is my favorite of the phenomenal time-crossing books so far, and I am including this book on my Best Reads Ever list, alongside the other four exceptional reads in the series. I highly recommend this book and the series as must reads for time travel and Historical Romance fans! NOTE: Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but reading the books in order will provide background information that will enrich your reading experience.
I read an advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley with no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One of the things I get the most excited every new year is getting more books in the Timeless series. These books truly have it all— captivating characters, unmatched suspense, inspiring faith, interesting history, and compelling love stories. Every Hour Until Then was no different! These books play out like a movie in my head and I absolutley love that!👏🏼
Characters in the Timeless series come alive for me and I love that!
Kathryn and Austen felt so real and I loved them! Their chemistry was everything.🫶🏼
Kathryn was a great heroine and I loved getting her story! It was so special reading about Grace and Luc’s daughter, and I loved seeing them again in this book.🥰
I adored Austen! I wanted to give him the biggest hug the whole time.🥺 He was simply the best.❤️ Gabrielle writes the best heroes!
As I said before, Kathryn and Austen’s chemistry was perfect! Best friends to lovers is my favorite trope and I adored their story! The tension between the two was palpable. Their dialogue and banter was wonderful.❤️
The storyline of this book was extremely interesting! The suspense was incredible! I literally could not put this book down. I had no idea what was going to happen next! Just when I thought I had it figured out, there was a plot twist that I did not see coming. I loved it!
Content notes: This book is clean. There are some brief descriptions of the horrific murders that were gory/gruesome. I am pretty sensitive to gruesome/gory details so there were a few parts I skimmed in this book regarding the murders. That being said, Gabrielle did a great job of weaving in the history without adding too much violence given the subject. It was kept brief and can easily be skimmed if needed.
The ending was absolutely perfect and so emotional.🥹
In conclusion, I absolutely loved this book! I do not want this series to end! If you’re looking for Christian fiction with a unique storyline, look no further! I literally can’t wait for the next book in this series.
*Thank you to the publisher for sending me a complimentary copy! All opinions are my own.

I’ve been following along with this series ever since book one was first released. I find the setting and twist on time-travel fascinating, and so far, I’ve greatly enjoyed each subsequent book. And after finishing book #4, I couldn’t wait until this one came out—this unique spin on history, as well as the delightful romances that accompany each book, are a lot of fun to read about.
I was not disappointed! Once again, Meyer came up with a new twist on this story world, and I found it fascinating to watch as she pulled everything together for this mystery. Of the five books in the series, I think this one has the strongest mystery—and since it had to do with a historical happening that I knew very little about, I found that mystery even more compelling. (And, thankfully, the descriptions didn’t get very in-depth or gruesome.)
As always, the characters, setting, and romance were done well. I could relate to Kathryn and her drive to protect her sister at all costs; I loved watching Austen fight against his love for Kathryn and try to do the right thing by her; and I also loved being back in the Victorian era, a setting that is familiar but not necessarily one I’ve read a book about for quite a while.
I did struggle a little with the feminism in this story—it didn’t come through a lot, but it was definitely there.
If you enjoy historical romance with a good splash of mystery/detective work and relatable characters, I’d highly recommend you check this book out. Overall, this was a delightful read, and I’m looking forward to reading book #6 in the series whenever it comes out!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, and this is my honest opinion of it.

If I could give this book more than five stars, I absolutely would!!!! I could NOT put this down. It seriously latched onto me, and I don’t think I will stop thinking about it for a while!! It is a book that will consume your every thought, so you may as well clear your schedule and binge it (take it from someone who still had to be a mom in between readings 😉😂).
Jack the Ripper is the name of the game here, and it is terrifying, creepy and addicting. But she somehow managed to have a romance that I was obsessed with, and a Christian theme. It was BEAUTIFUL. My favorite book so far, and that is saying something!!!!
THANK YOU to the author and publisher for an advance copy. All gushing is freely given.

The eras in this book provided phenomenal settings. The characters were pristine. The MMC/FMC connection was divine! So so good!

“God is sovereign,” Papa said. “Even when we don’t understand, He allows certain things to happen for His purposes. When we say we know better, then it means we don’t believe He is sovereign or just. That His will is not as perfect as our own—and that’s a dangerous game to play.”
I need more than 5 stars to accurately rate this book! Gabrielle Meyer has done an about amazing job on the Timeless series and I have loved every single page. When I heard that Kathryn’s timelines would include both Jack the Ripper and Hitler, I knew I would have to read it! I’m not sure how Gabrielle manages it but each book in this series has managed to outshine the previous book. The characters she writes are dynamic and well written and I love how they grow through their journey. Every single book in the series highlights how God always uses our circumstances for our ultimate good, even when we don’t understand how He will be able to do that. At the end of the day, God is sovereign and we are not. We can trust Him in all things. This story had me truly enthralled and I’d have finished it sooner, but Gabrielle has a knack for capturing my attention with details that send me down the researching rabbit hole because I need more information about the people and events mentioned. This was such a suspenseful story and there were a few times I found myself actually fussing at Kathryn, out loud for doing dangerous things! I thought the Jack the Ripper theories that were touched on were incredibly interesting and I wonder if we will ever know his real identity. There were a few times that I suspected the surprise twist and I was still shocked when it was revealed. I’m finding myself already anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. I hope there will be many more. There is still so much history for our time crossers to explore!

gabrielle meyer has done it again!!! i feel like i say this every time but it’s so true!! every hour until then is another stunning, emotional, and brilliant installment in the timeless series and all i can say is wow. i flew through this book with my heart in my throat, completely swept up in the intertwined timelines of 1938 and 1888. the way those two years mirrored and collided was absolutely genius and the twists had me gasping out loud. meyer has such a gift for weaving together history, suspense, and deep emotion in a way that completely wrecks you…in the best possible way, of course!! i love how these stories stress me out but somehow they always land perfectly, leaving me full of hope and awe.
the romance was everything. it’s pretty obvious but i just loved how it was sacrificial and tender. i adored austen and the way he supported kathryn, even when it cost him deeply. their relationship had me in tears more than once. kathryn’s faith journey was so moving. watching her come to the end of herself and lean on God was powerful and beautifully written. and let’s talk about the jack the ripper storyline. it was so masterfully done, with rich historical detail that added so much depth and tension. meyer balanced it all flawlessly. this series is something special, and i honestly can’t recommend it enough.

Absolutely Captivating – A Must-Read in an Unforgettable Series!
I absolutely love and recommend every story in Gabrielle Meyer’s incredible series! Each book is so well written, unique, and completely unpredictable, with wonderful characters and compelling storylines. I truly hope we get more than the six books promised—these stories are just too good to let go!
It’s tough to write a review without giving away any spoilers, so I’ll just say this: Every Hour Until Then had me hooked from the first page! Both timelines—1888 and 1938—were completely immersive with Kathryn’s determination to save her sister and uncover Jack the Ripper’s identity. This kept me on the edge of my seat, especially in the 1888 setting. The romance between Austen and Kathryn was sweet, heartfelt, and ultimately epic. I couldn’t imagine how it would all work out, but the ending exceeded even my wildest hopes.
Every Hour Until Then might just be my favorite in the series so far (though choosing is nearly impossible because they’re all phenomenal). If you haven’t started this series yet—what are you waiting for? You won’t regret it!

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 completely captivated me from chapter one! I was equally hooked by the plot and suspenseful mystery as I was compelled by the characters. This book truly deserves its place in the excellent 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 series!
The story follows a time-crosser named Kathryn who simultaneously lives in 1888 & 1938. While working as a guest curator in for a new exhibit in the London Museum on Jack the Ripper, she discovers that her own sister will become the Ripper’s final victim decades prior in 1888. With the help of her childhood best friend, she works to discover who the elusive Jack the Ripper really is in order to save her sister, but at what cost?
I found Kathryn to be a very strong protagonist, and loved her growth! Throughout the story she deeply struggles with her desire to be in charge of the situations she finds herself in, and her journey of learning to trust in God was both memorable and relatable. The Jack the Ripper parts were very interesting and suspenseful, and the villain reveal really surprised me!
Overall, 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 lived up to my every expectation, and, dare I say, is my favourite of the series! Gabrielle Meyer did such a beautiful job writing this book, and I devoured every moment of it! Honestly, I’m not sure how I’m going to patiently wait until November for the next book in the series!!
***I received a complimentary digital ARC. I was not required to leave a positive review.

Thank you to @gabrielle_meyer @bethanyhousefiction and @austenprose for the #gifted book.
This is my first encounter with Gabrielle's work, and I was thoroughly captivated by it. I'm now eager to delve into books 1-4 in the Timeless series. While it does reference previous characters, I firmly believe this installment stands strong on its own.
Blending historical fiction, time travel, and romance, this story unfolds across two vastly different timelines: 1888 and 1938. We follow the determined Kathryn as she navigates the perilous world of Victorian London, striving to prevent Jack the Ripper from claiming her sister's life. Armed with insights gained from her role in the London Museum in 1938, her quest is both thrilling and urgent.
The author's engaging writing style immerses you in the narrative, making you feel as though you’re right there alongside Kathryn. The suspense, mystery, and action are masterfully executed, compelling me to turn the pages with eagerness. The depth of research behind the story is impressive, adding authenticity to every twist and turn.
Kathryn is a remarkable character—strong, tenacious, and unwavering in her loyalty. Her investigative prowess propels the plot forward at a brisk pace, keeping you on the edge of your seat as she unravels the mysteries surrounding Jack the Ripper. I particularly enjoyed how the author explored various theories about this infamous figure, adding layers to both the narrative and Kathryn's journey.
The relationship between Kathryn and Austen in the 1888 timeline is beautifully crafted, revealing the depth of their love amidst the chaos of their circumstances.
With its intricate layers, heart-pounding suspense, and a touch of wholesome romance, this book has something for everyone. I wholeheartedly recommend it to readers of all genres—this is a journey you won’t want to miss!

I have loved every one of these books from this series. They weave history and magical realism with faith so well, it is always an interesting and exciting story! And Jack the Ripper as a central figure in this one is very enjoyable and suspenseful.
I didn’t know a lot about Jack the Ripper going in, and it was really exciting for this to be the backdrop, and to watch a time crosser whose time lines are so close together!
I loved the romantic aspect as well, but it didn’t really take center stage in this one the way that it did in others. Still a sweet and heart wrenching storyline. The stakes in this books are always so high, which ups the suspense and keeps the reader on their toes.
Definitely a great read! I love it.

Here's the thing. Obviously we know that time travel isn't possible, but Meyer makes it so real! Like it could really happen. And her spin on the Jack the Ripper mystery - oh my goodness it was brilliant. Amazing plot twist at the end that I did not see coming. It was so well thought out, especially how it affected both time periods.
But perhaps the biggest lesson to learn here was that ultimately God has a plan for our lives, and we need to trust that He knows best. Quite often we try to go our own way and then hope that God just goes along with it. But that is ultimately not what's best for us and that was such a wonderful reminder throughout this story.
If you haven't read this series yet than you don't know what you're missing. Every release is my favorite, this one included! And each one has new elements to the time travel rules that make it fresh and exciting. I'd love to tell you what those are, but spoilers and all lol. Just read it for yourself!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Whenever I finish a book of Meyer’s I am always left stunned. Her writing consistently blows me away and I am left in awe every single time. I am constantly recommending the Timeless series to friends and family.
This book is non-stop and so well done. The plot is meticulously executed and I didn’t want to stop reading. Kathryn is amazing. Strong and determined in both timelines. It was lovely to see her mother, Grace, from a previous book in series, in this book too.
Kathryn’s timelines in this book are 1888 and 1938. I loved how Meyer was able to bring Jack the Ripper into both timelines. Too much happens to Kathryn and the other characters to even begin to summarize, even mentioning a name could be a spoiler, I do not want to give anything away. It was fascinating to see history unfolding with the events mentioned in this book. Yes, the author took liberties, that is expected in fiction, and I loved how Meyer tied it all together. Her author’s notes are just a wonderful as the story itself.
This series is one of the best I’ve read and I will always keep wanting more and more books. The author did an incredible job of keeping me invested in the story. The way the chapters would end, there was no way I was stopping! This is a series, but the way the author catches up the reader and explains time-crossing, these can be stand-alones. But what are you waiting for? Pick up these books as soon as possible.
I received a NetGalley link and a paperback from the publisher. All views are my own. Thank you for the #gifted copy.

Wow! This is a book I absolutely could not put down. I went into it partially blind—I knew it had something to do with Jack the Ripper and his heinous crimes, but I didn’t know many details. Not too far in, I had to pause and read the synopsis on the back cover. 🙈
The vibes in this book are so different from the rest of the series. I love a good thriller—not too gruesome or scary, but just enough—and this book really fit the bill. Another interesting aspect was Kathryn’s two timelines were only 50 years apart— the closest timeline we’ve seen yet. I won’t give anything away but it really made for some interesting scenarios!!
I’d describe it as a fast paced, page-turner with dark twists and deep secrets involving a high-society cover-up. I loved it! I had no idea how the ending would turn out. I was genuinely surprised to see how it unfolded and to learn who the real culprit was.
As always, there’s a dash of romance, and I particularly loved this book’s couple. This is by far my favorite in the series.
✨ Don’t miss the author’s note—it’s incredibly interesting!
📝 This book is best read in order with the series. It references previous characters and plots. It could technically be stand alone but may be a bit confusing in parts.
⚠️ Content: Murder, mild to medium descriptions of gruesome murders/mutilations, discussions of prostitution, kidnapping. Closed-door romance; some descriptive kisses. Christian themes and message woven throughout.
