The novel has two historical periods that are featured. It’s divided between Victorian-era London and WWII Washington, DC. In 1938, Kathryn is invited to the London Museum as a guest curator to create an exhibit about Jack the Ripper. As Kathryn dives deeper into the subject, she discovers alarming information that undermines her enthusiasm for hosting this event. She has a difficult decision to make. Is she willing to sacrifice her ideal timeline to save her sister's life, which would alter history? Who knows what other changes will occur? Was she sure she wanted to do this?
In this installment, readers get a front-row seat in learning about Jack the Ripper, a guy who perpetrated horrible crimes against unmarried women who were ladies of the night. This man perpetrated incomprehensible acts of violence and was never caught. I liked the fact this book didn’t get graphic about the crime scenes.
I have read all the novels in the Timeless series and was blown away by this new adventure. I was delighted that the author explores more time travel possibilities, making this tale both engaging and suspenseful. Book 6 titled, Each Tomorrow, will be released on September 4, 2025. Make sure to mark your calendars for the release. I'm curious to see what adventure readers will go on next.

TBCN Where Book Fun Begins!

Meyer once again blew me away with her newest timeless book! As par with the other timeless series, Kathryn lives two lives in two different times. She doesn’t time travel in the “traditional sense”, but her mind and soul do. It’s such a refreshing twist to the standard time travel books! Kathryn, like the other timeless women, thought she knew what path she was going to choose, but God placed many twists and turns to test and try Kathryn before making her final decision. Meyer always expertly does her research on each era and I always find myself learning something new about history! Also, as per usual with the timeless books, have a box of tissues handy! I don’t think there has been one yet that hasn’t brought up such realistic emotions for me. I hope this timeless series continues on for many years to come!

Every Hour Until Then is a complete triumph of a book. The story takes place in two eras. The main character lives in both simultaneously and swaps when she falls asleep. I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy a plot set around Jack the Ripper but this was hugely compelling. In one time Kathryn works hard to uncover the Ripper’s identity and prevent him claiming his last victim, in the other she’s curating an exhibition about this awful crimes.
There are so many things I liked about this story. The top thing is the plot. The two eras weave together seamlessly and create a gripping overarching journey that kept me up until far too late because I had to know the ending. Would Kathryn stop the killer? Which time would she choose to stay in?
Secondly, the research that the author must have done shone through with the astonishing details of the Ripper case. The attention to detail made the story so much more compelling. And finally, the whole timeshiftimg concept is brilliant and the implications of there only being a fifty year gap in the two timelines made me gasp at several points in the story. Something that doesn’t happen often.
I received a copy of Every Hour Until Then from the publisher via NetGalley. The all out fangirling is completely my own.

“There truly was a season for everything, and His timing was perfect.”
I cannot possibly form adequate words to express how deeply I love this Timeless series, and with each new book I grow more in awe of Gabrielle Meyer’s talent for putting fresh twists on the time-crossing theme. I can’t even pick a favorite because they’re each my favorites, but if I had to narrow it down to just one, Every Hour Until Then would be a very strong contender. And my review won’t nearly do it justice – let’s get that out of the way upfront – because there’s a lot I can’t even hint at without spoiling some key plot turns. But trust me… you’ll be on the edge of your seat, fully immersed in this story and all its brilliant twists from beginning to end.
“You’re the greatest adventure of my life.”
Every Hour Until Then follows time-crosser Kathryn back-and-forth between her two simultaneous paths. If you’re not familiar with this series and the time-crosser ‘rules’, when she goes to sleep after midnight in her 1888 life she wakes up in her 1938 life with no time having passed while she was in the other era, and vice versa. She must decide which timeline she’ll remain in by a specific birthday – in Kathryn’s case, by her 25th – and forfeit the other one (and her loved ones there) forever. But if she changes history in one of the timelines, she’ll immediately forfeit that path and possibly the other too. That’s the basics anyway, but like I said Gabrielle Meyer finds a way to keep each story unique and surprising even within these guidelines. And this one is SO GOOD, y’all.
“I had to surrender to God’s plan. I wasn’t sure what it was, or how it would work, but I was at the end of my own abilities.”
One of the things I loved about Every Hour Until Then is that, not only do both timelines involve Kathryn investigating the murders of Jack the Ripper (a true crime mystery that has long piqued my sleuthing interests as well), but Meyer also gives Kathryn a deeply personal reason to be so invested in the case in each path: the life of her sister. And wow. Between that compelling plot point and the agonizingly-swoony-but-also-maybe-heartbreaking romance storyline, I was SO tempted to skip ahead and read the end to find out how it all turned out. I hardly ever do that because I love experiencing the discovery as the author intended it to unfold… and I behaved myself this time too… but ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I thought my heart was going to just explode from the need for it all to be okay. As the book reached its brilliantly-written conclusion though, I was reminded of what I should have held fast all along – that this author can be trusted to deliver a beautifully perfect ending, no matter whether it’s what I initially hoped or not. And, more importantly, I was reminded how the Author of my story can always be trusted to do the same.
Bottom Line: Every Hour Until Then by Gabrielle Meyer drew me immediately into this compelling story and kept me riveted until the very last word. The ‘Jack the Ripper’ theme adds an element of mystery and suspense to the already fascinating time-crossing layers, and the fact that Kathryn’s two paths are only fifty years apart provided further intriguing considerations that aren’t possible in the other books. I was so immersed and invested in the theories, in Kathryn’s impossible choices and complicated emotions, in the KISSES, in the twists that I couldn’t have stopped reading if my life had depended on it. I highly recommend that you stop what you’re doing and read every book in this series right now because they’re all so amazingly plotted with such touching faith threads too. And the little embedded hints I may have discovered for the next book have me already impatient for November. I am obsessed with this series, and Every Hour Until Then is another truly remarkable story that’s impossible to put down!
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)

Wow! The Timeless series by Gabrielle Meyer continues to completely surpass my every expectation. Every Hour Until Then truly keeps readers spellbound from the beginning to end on a haunting mystery between two vastly different time periods. I thoroughly enjoyed the close and intertwined historic times in this book, that of Victorian England and Washington DC on the verge of World War II. Ms. Meyer has a knack for bringing history to life in a very immersive and intriguing way. Her characters are developed well and demonstrate admirable character traits and growth throughout the book. There are always surprises and adventures throughout this series, but this particular story was so special to me because of the focus on others and sacrificing for others. I appreciated the sweet love story, adventure, history, intrigue, and complexity of the plot. I honestly was impressed by the gripping and chilling effect of Every Hour Until Then. What an amazing story!
Kathryn has been gifted with the ability to live simultaneously in two different eras (until her twenty-fifth birthday), both full of difficulties, mysteries, and much danger. In her 1938 life, Kathryn is a guest curator for the London Museum's exhibit for Jack the Ripper. Kathryn's interest in this particular history is due to her other path in 1888, which is during the actual time of that killer's crimes. As Kathryn delves into the history, she is shocked to discover that her sister in 1888 is Jack the Ripper's last victim.
Ms. Meyer brings her characters through many troubles and sorrows, and Every Hour Until Then is no exception. Kathryn must try to track down and unmask the cruel killer, Jack the Ripper before her sister becomes one of his victims. Helping Kathryn in 1888 is her childhood friend and somewhat reclusive neighbor Austin. As both get closer and closer to the truth in a murky mess, Kathryn realizes that she has a choice to make. Can Kathryn save her sister from Jack the Ripper and forfeit her life in 1888 and leave behind the man she loves? Kathryn's choices bring consequences beyond what she even expected. Can Kathryn save her sister? Will she be able to find the killer's identity in time? Read Every Hour Until Then to find out for yourself! I highly recommend it! Happy readings!

Another captivating time crossing story that I could not put down. “There was a web of secrets, power, and illusions casting its shadow on 1888 and 1938.”
Kathryn is set to make a decision about which time she wants to live in. She thinks she has already made up her mind. But things change when she sets out to save her sister from certain peril. “Sometimes, plans need to be flexible to see what God wants for us.” She learns to be open to what God wants and not assert her own will.
This story fed my history-loving heart. What a privilege for Kathryn, to work at the Smithsonian, and travel to London to work on a special exhibit. But shock comes when she researches Jack the Ripper. She is astounded by the connections she discovers between her timelines. She also must be very careful to make sure that she does not change history or encounter someone she might know, since there are only 50 years separating her timelines. “The truth can set us free, but it can also put us in danger.”
I loved all the historical detail of both time periods, and how the author deftly wove the timelines together. The premise of a time crosser is unique and interesting, and the settings and characters or totally believable.
The romance tugged at the heart and showed a strong hero with solid, godly principles.
This story may be my favorite of Miss Meyer -till the next one comes out.

4.5 enthusiastic stars!
Kathryn is living two lives, fifty years apart. In 1888, she has the love of her life: Austen. In 1938, she has her dream career working as a curator at the Smithsonian. But her two world are about to converge. She's just discovered while setting up the "Jack the Ripper" exhibit in 1938, that his final victim is her sister in 1888! Kathryn has a choice to make: save her sister and give up that timeline and the love of her life, or let history take its course. What follows is an EPIC tale about a race against time against a serial killer and an impending World War. Pour yourself a cup of coffee and get ready to read until you're on the last page!
I was NOT prepared for this story at all!! I'm an avid romance reader, and this book brings the romance, but as a beautiful complement to the action and suspense, which takes center stage on practically every page. I not only perpetually NEEDED to know what was going to happen, but also continually asked myself what I would do, given these choices. Meyer doesn't shy away from hard topics, difficult choices, or ugly events in history, and the story is better for it.
This was my first read in the Timeless series, and I would have liked more exposition for a smoother entry into the novel. This, ultimately, I should just blame myself for, as the author herself recommends reading the series in order, and I started on book five. 🤦🏻 So I can agree that it's probably best to read in order, but, as a newcomer, I still thoroughly enjoyed this page-turner. Meyer is a gifted storyteller in terms of relating history, creating sweet romantic moments, and conveying tender moments, even if her prose isn't as flowery as many contemporary romance authors of today. Additionally, this is Christian fiction, which I think was handled well for Christians and non-Christians alike. There are passages containing questions about God's will and loving one's neighbor, which are embedded in the plot to the point that it adds a cultural/spiritual flavor without, I believe, alienating readers who don't share the author's beliefs.
I'm eager to read more of this author! Her passion for history and ability to weave an intricate story with incredible plot twists makes her someone I'm eager to read again!!
Trigger warnings: descriptions of gore, descriptions of crime scenes, sister being killed, references to the beginning of WWII, Hitler, crimes against the Jewish peoples
I'd like to thank Bethany House and Netgalley for the eARC of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

How does this series keep getting better? I especially liked that this one had a sister story. I was worried about Kathryn’s sister right off the bat, wondering why on earth her parents shunned the teen, and where had she gone?
Then, that little reminder that this was during the time of Jack the Ripper…Well, let’s just say my little reading break turned into a marathon and ruined my productivity, but this novel was so worth it.
I’ll keep coming back to the Timeless Series for more.
Great storytelling, mystery, lovely plot puzzles to figure out, love the characters (always), danger, romance, sister story, storytelling that pulls me along, great writing, historical details, easy to fall into narrative, strong Christian content. All the things. Fans won’t be disappointed. This series is completely addictive.
I received an ARC from #netgalley because, even though I tried most valiantly to resist requesting it because I’m short on time right now, people kept posting, and I got a bad case of FOMO. I couldn’t wait for it to be released.

If anyone can seamlessly weave multiple historical timelines together, it would be Gabrielle Meyer. I loved this fifth book in the Timeless series and the inventive challenges that the author continues to deliver by having readers puzzle out countless scenarios that could arise in time-crossing. This is the first instance we come across where a time-crosser could theoretically meet themself in a different era, creating a fascinating and positively brilliant setup for our historian and curator, Kathryn. I love her indomitable spirit and how fiercely she loves and cares for her family members. Though headstrong and independent, I appreciate that she comes across so real and vibrant, practically leaping off the pages. If anything, her act first, think second nature allows readers to see what trusting in God looks like for her, especially if we are prone to the same tendencies.
This flawless execution of how Jack the Ripper affects Kathryn in both timelines is compelling and speaks to the fear that pervaded the streets of London during a horrific period of time. I am thankful that the messages of faith strongly counteract these gruesome acts, indicating that even during a nation's darkest moments, God is still at work. Leading into the Second World War, this message is even more poignant. Readers who have been along for the Timeless ride will find that as new plot lines are introduced with seemingly gaping holes that there is enough suspense, action, and mystery to carry readers through complex answers that both indulge and complete the characters' adventure in this deeply spiritual story about God’s power and supremacy.

I do not even know what to say!!!!!!!! The last 20 percent of this book took me through the entire realm of feelings. I shouted What WHAT WHAT WHAT???!! So many times and so loudly that I think Katy Perry could have heard me in space if she was still up there. I thought nothing could wreck me more than the last timeless book with the twins, but Gabrielle Meyer said ha, hold my pen. I cried more than once, ok several times. I feel like I can't say much about the plot because there were so many twists and turns and I don't want to give anything away because this book was an EXPERIENCE. If you haven't read this series, start with the first book before you read this one because they all build on each other and you will see characters from other books which will spoil it for you. This book was amazing but trust me, for the full, experience you need to read them in order. It adds so many layers to the story in this book. (And the rest of them)
I'm super excited to see another one is coming out and one of the paths is going to be in the 1500s!!! Can't wait! Here's hoping we get one set in Bible times because that would also be amazing.

One of my favorite things about the Timeless series is seeing how the author is able to weave two separate periods in history to create one story that flows together perfectly. As someone who has watched several documentaries on Jack the Ripper, I was especially excited to see what direction Ms. Meyers took for her story. The theory she chose was so intriguing, and I loved seeing how it all came together in the end.
I adored Austen. He was an amazing MMC. And I loved the faith content and learning that God's plans are always better than our own. I, admittedly, did struggle a bit with the FMC. I admired her dedication to saving her sister, but her choices sometimes had me yelling, "What are you doing!?"
All in all, it was another compelling story in the Timeless series, and I can't wait for the next adventure!
**I received an ARC. All opinions are my own.

The stories Gabrielle Meyer writes are so good!!! This is the 5th book in her Timeless series and I think it’s my favorite!
Kate finds herself in two time periods. In one day she wakes up it’s 1888, she goes to sleep and when she wakes up it’s 1938. This is her life everyday living everyday twice in two time periods. In 1938 she finds out in her other timeline that in a few days Jack The Ripper is going to start his killing spree. In 1938 she is a museum curator and is tasked with making an exhibit of the murders and Jack’s letters. What happens in the next few months is a terrifying race to try to elude the killer but also try to find out who he is.
The mystery in the book was the best storyline yet for her book! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy!

This was such an exciting story! I don’t know how Gabrielle Meyer does it. I was immediately immersed in the stories of both timelines. There was lots of mystery and suspense as the main character Kathryn explores the world of Jack the Ripper in both 1888 and 1938. You will love her thrilling and absolutely chilling adventures as she tries to learn more. She needs to discover who Jack the Ripper was and how to prevent the murder of a close family member.
I loved Austen! Such a wonderful character. He was such an integral part of the story right to the very end.
If you love a mystery, suspense, twists and turns with a heartbreaking love story woven in, you will love this book! I can’t recommend it enough!

I read about 60 percent of this book in one sitting, it was so good. I found myself thinking about the story and characters when I wasn’t reading the book. The romance was top tier and perfect, and I was giddy with delight when they would share even the smallest moment together. I have a difficult time picking which book in this series is my favorite because they are all so different, but this is a contender for the top spot.

This is the fifth book of the Timeless series is as compelling as the first four. I really enjoy the dive into history I get from the books in this series. The characters are well developed, the history is researched in depth, and I can't wait to find out what decision is made in the end. This story had an added wrinkle, as the time periods were so close together. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
My gratitude to the publisher for a complimentary e-copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.

OH THIS BOOK.
I admit that this took me a little to get into but that ending?? The romance?? Got me in the FEEEELS. Now, it does seem a little insta-ish, but let it grow on you!! Trust the journey y’all.
My historical nerd self went down many a Jack the Ripper research hole after finishing this book. I love historical books that make me want to research. And I love reading historicals that cover different time periods than I generally come across.
And I adored the FMC, Kate. She was strong willed and learning but always seemed to genuinely be trying to take the next right step and I loved her courage. There were many good twists to the plot that ramped up my engagement as the pages moved. I also really adored the romance. It brought the swoon and the passion and the I would do anything to see you happy vibes that I am all over. We love a a man DOWN BAD.
I think this is easily one of my favorites of this whole series now and I have loved seeing the crossing timelines, family trees and all of the touches of faith too. What an incredible book.
Overall audience notes:
Christian Historical Time Travel Romance
Language: none
Romance: kisses
Violence: moderate
Content Warnings: murder (off page but crime scenes are detailed), weapons violence, kidnapping

I have always found time travel novels intriguing and love having found a Christian author who writes such a novel! The author does a fantastic job of choosing and writing about key historic events/periods- like the Jack the Ripper and the time just prior to World War 2. Due to the inclusion of Jack the Ripper, be aware that it is a bit of a murder mystery and contains some such scenes, BUT is still clean and has themes of hope (a relief, because I'm not really one for true crime or murder mysteries usually). I was kept on the edge of my seat and struggled to put this book down! It was well written, engaging, and had wonderful characters- plus I loved the friends to lovers trope. I highly recommend not just this book but the whole series. They are absolutely brilliant.
A huge thank you to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the complimentary ARC in return for my honest review.

I’ve read this entire series and find the premise of a time crosser intriguing! This book, because of the content of a serial killer, got a little gritty for me. So I can’t say it was my favorite. Having the two times in which the main character lived only 50 years apart added another layer of suspense.
I received this book from the publisher via net galley in exchange for an honest review. Four stars.

This series just keeps getting better and better, and this installment is my new favorite of the entire saga. Kathryn's dual timeline life is complicated enough, but her lives are only 50 years apart and that adds a whole new layer! The romance in Gabrielle's books are always well-done, but I loved the boy-next-door-childhood-love storyline so much. Plus, never would I have thought I'd have enjoyed a story with an emphasis on Jack the Ripper, but this book is so well-paced and tactful. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and will definitely reread this one!

This book was phenomenal. I don’t know how she does it, but Gabrielle always seems to come up with new plot twists and incredible storylines. Her mind is brilliant. Weaving her stories into historical events and the time crossing plot is just epic. I can’t wait for more.
