How does this series keep getting better? I especially liked that this one had a sister story. I was worried about Kathryn’s sister right off the bat, wondering why on earth her parents shunned the teen, and where had she gone?

Then, that little reminder that this was during the time of Jack the Ripper…Well, let’s just say my little reading break turned into a marathon and ruined my productivity, but this novel was so worth it.

I’ll keep coming back to the Timeless Series for more.

Great storytelling, mystery, lovely plot puzzles to figure out, love the characters (always), danger, romance, sister story, storytelling that pulls me along, great writing, historical details, easy to fall into narrative, strong Christian content. All the things. Fans won’t be disappointed. This series is completely addictive.

I received an ARC from #netgalley because, even though I tried most valiantly to resist requesting it because I’m short on time right now, people kept posting, and I got a bad case of FOMO. I couldn’t wait for it to be released.

If anyone can seamlessly weave multiple historical timelines together, it would be Gabrielle Meyer. I loved this fifth book in the Timeless series and the inventive challenges that the author continues to deliver by having readers puzzle out countless scenarios that could arise in time-crossing. This is the first instance we come across where a time-crosser could theoretically meet themself in a different era, creating a fascinating and positively brilliant setup for our historian and curator, Kathryn. I love her indomitable spirit and how fiercely she loves and cares for her family members. Though headstrong and independent, I appreciate that she comes across so real and vibrant, practically leaping off the pages. If anything, her act first, think second nature allows readers to see what trusting in God looks like for her, especially if we are prone to the same tendencies.

This flawless execution of how Jack the Ripper affects Kathryn in both timelines is compelling and speaks to the fear that pervaded the streets of London during a horrific period of time. I am thankful that the messages of faith strongly counteract these gruesome acts, indicating that even during a nation's darkest moments, God is still at work. Leading into the Second World War, this message is even more poignant. Readers who have been along for the Timeless ride will find that as new plot lines are introduced with seemingly gaping holes that there is enough suspense, action, and mystery to carry readers through complex answers that both indulge and complete the characters' adventure in this deeply spiritual story about God’s power and supremacy.

I do not even know what to say!!!!!!!! The last 20 percent of this book took me through the entire realm of feelings. I shouted What WHAT WHAT WHAT???!! So many times and so loudly that I think Katy Perry could have heard me in space if she was still up there. I thought nothing could wreck me more than the last timeless book with the twins, but Gabrielle Meyer said ha, hold my pen. I cried more than once, ok several times. I feel like I can't say much about the plot because there were so many twists and turns and I don't want to give anything away because this book was an EXPERIENCE. If you haven't read this series, start with the first book before you read this one because they all build on each other and you will see characters from other books which will spoil it for you. This book was amazing but trust me, for the full, experience you need to read them in order. It adds so many layers to the story in this book. (And the rest of them)

I'm super excited to see another one is coming out and one of the paths is going to be in the 1500s!!! Can't wait! Here's hoping we get one set in Bible times because that would also be amazing.

One of my favorite things about the Timeless series is seeing how the author is able to weave two separate periods in history to create one story that flows together perfectly. As someone who has watched several documentaries on Jack the Ripper, I was especially excited to see what direction Ms. Meyers took for her story. The theory she chose was so intriguing, and I loved seeing how it all came together in the end.

I adored Austen. He was an amazing MMC. And I loved the faith content and learning that God's plans are always better than our own. I, admittedly, did struggle a bit with the FMC. I admired her dedication to saving her sister, but her choices sometimes had me yelling, "What are you doing!?"

All in all, it was another compelling story in the Timeless series, and I can't wait for the next adventure!

**I received an ARC. All opinions are my own.

The stories Gabrielle Meyer writes are so good!!! This is the 5th book in her Timeless series and I think it’s my favorite!

Kate finds herself in two time periods. In one day she wakes up it’s 1888, she goes to sleep and when she wakes up it’s 1938. This is her life everyday living everyday twice in two time periods. In 1938 she finds out in her other timeline that in a few days Jack The Ripper is going to start his killing spree. In 1938 she is a museum curator and is tasked with making an exhibit of the murders and Jack’s letters. What happens in the next few months is a terrifying race to try to elude the killer but also try to find out who he is.

The mystery in the book was the best storyline yet for her book! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy!

This was such an exciting story! I don’t know how Gabrielle Meyer does it. I was immediately immersed in the stories of both timelines. There was lots of mystery and suspense as the main character Kathryn explores the world of Jack the Ripper in both 1888 and 1938. You will love her thrilling and absolutely chilling adventures as she tries to learn more. She needs to discover who Jack the Ripper was and how to prevent the murder of a close family member.

I loved Austen! Such a wonderful character. He was such an integral part of the story right to the very end.

If you love a mystery, suspense, twists and turns with a heartbreaking love story woven in, you will love this book! I can’t recommend it enough!

I read about 60 percent of this book in one sitting, it was so good. I found myself thinking about the story and characters when I wasn’t reading the book. The romance was top tier and perfect, and I was giddy with delight when they would share even the smallest moment together. I have a difficult time picking which book in this series is my favorite because they are all so different, but this is a contender for the top spot.

This is the fifth book of the Timeless series is as compelling as the first four. I really enjoy the dive into history I get from the books in this series. The characters are well developed, the history is researched in depth, and I can't wait to find out what decision is made in the end. This story had an added wrinkle, as the time periods were so close together. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
My gratitude to the publisher for a complimentary e-copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.

OH THIS BOOK.

I admit that this took me a little to get into but that ending?? The romance?? Got me in the FEEEELS. Now, it does seem a little insta-ish, but let it grow on you!! Trust the journey y’all.

My historical nerd self went down many a Jack the Ripper research hole after finishing this book. I love historical books that make me want to research. And I love reading historicals that cover different time periods than I generally come across.

And I adored the FMC, Kate. She was strong willed and learning but always seemed to genuinely be trying to take the next right step and I loved her courage. There were many good twists to the plot that ramped up my engagement as the pages moved. I also really adored the romance. It brought the swoon and the passion and the I would do anything to see you happy vibes that I am all over. We love a a man DOWN BAD.

I think this is easily one of my favorites of this whole series now and I have loved seeing the crossing timelines, family trees and all of the touches of faith too. What an incredible book.

Overall audience notes:

Christian Historical Time Travel Romance

Romance: kisses

I have always found time travel novels intriguing and love having found a Christian author who writes such a novel! The author does a fantastic job of choosing and writing about key historic events/periods- like the Jack the Ripper and the time just prior to World War 2. Due to the inclusion of Jack the Ripper, be aware that it is a bit of a murder mystery and contains some such scenes, BUT is still clean and has themes of hope (a relief, because I'm not really one for true crime or murder mysteries usually). I was kept on the edge of my seat and struggled to put this book down! It was well written, engaging, and had wonderful characters- plus I loved the friends to lovers trope. I highly recommend not just this book but the whole series. They are absolutely brilliant.

A huge thank you to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the complimentary ARC in return for my honest review.

I’ve read this entire series and find the premise of a time crosser intriguing! This book, because of the content of a serial killer, got a little gritty for me. So I can’t say it was my favorite. Having the two times in which the main character lived only 50 years apart added another layer of suspense.

I received this book from the publisher via net galley in exchange for an honest review. Four stars.

This series just keeps getting better and better, and this installment is my new favorite of the entire saga. Kathryn's dual timeline life is complicated enough, but her lives are only 50 years apart and that adds a whole new layer! The romance in Gabrielle's books are always well-done, but I loved the boy-next-door-childhood-love storyline so much. Plus, never would I have thought I'd have enjoyed a story with an emphasis on Jack the Ripper, but this book is so well-paced and tactful. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and will definitely reread this one!

This book was phenomenal. I don’t know how she does it, but Gabrielle always seems to come up with new plot twists and incredible storylines. Her mind is brilliant. Weaving her stories into historical events and the time crossing plot is just epic. I can’t wait for more.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!

Kathryn is a time-crosser, living one day in 1888 and the next in 1938, going back and forth until she reaches her twenty-fifth birthday when she will have to choose which live she wants to live in but her choice becomes more complicated when her job as assistant curator for a new Jack the Ripper exhibit leads to startling information about her life in 1888.

As she and her close childhood friend Austen race to solve the mystery before it's too late, Kathryn must decide if she is willing to risk changing history in order to save someone she loves, even if it means giving up her own chance at happiness.

What you'll find:
time crossing
Victorian era/pre-WWII
single pov
friends to lovers
mystery and suspense
plot twists
that first kiss!!
the perfectly perfect epilogue

OH.MY.WORD!!!!!! THIS BOOK!! I have loved this entire series but this book is on a level all it's own. The absolutely captivating plot with all its jaw-dropping twists and turns and how everything tied together was absolute genius. This book is the very definition of what readers mean when we say a story gave us ALL THE FEELS!!

The eerie mystery in search of a murderer, the edge of your seat suspense, the complex time-crossing dilemmas, the heartachingly beautiful romance, the tender family relationships...I felt it all and loved it all! This was an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to end! I was completely captivated from the opening chapter until the last sentence of the epilogue at which point I was literally in tears over the entire journey and the most perfect ending ever.

I am afraid of giving away or saying too much because this is story is a deeply emotional experience and I don't want you to miss out on any of it BUT also want to convince every single person I know to read this series. I am definitely suffering from book hangover now but I DON'T EVEN CARE. This book was worth it and deserves all the stars and all the love!! 11/10, this will be a forever favorite!!

I received a complimentary copy but a positive review was not required.

CW: descriptions of gruesome murder scenes (I mean, this is a story about Jack the Ripper...)

I’m simply loving Gabrielle Meyer’s Timeless series! It’s so much fun for my history-loving soul, and I’m excited she’s chosen so many time periods and historical events that have fascinated me for years to delve into in these books.

Every Hour Until Then tackles two difficult subjects in different eras: the terror of Jack the Ripper and the early onset of World War II. I knew the basics of the Ripper story, but learned quite a lot from this telling of it and the various theories that still surround the case to this day. I enjoyed learning more about this fascinating, gruesome piece of history.

I loved Kathryn and Austen, and am eagerly awaiting the next book! 4.5/5 stars

Another fantastic book to this series. It’s always a thrilling ride and I’m sad it’s over…for now! This one surrounds the mystery of Jack the Ripper, which was a bit creepy at times but tastefully done, so just a forewarning if you read before bed like I do…it might influence your dreams 🤣

I think Every Hour Until Then has my favorite ending in the series so far! But no big spoilers here. The two timelines in this one are 1888 and 1938 – a mere 50 year separation is not like the rest of the timeless series novels. In the 1938 timeline, Kathryn is working on a museum display for Jack the Ripper. In the 1888 timeline, Jack the Ripper is just about to begin his killing spree. In 1938, Kathryn discovers that her sister in 1888 is the Ripper’s last victim. She knows the rules are that she is not supposed to change history, but how can she allow her sister to be murdered? Can she save her? And what will happen if she does? Oh, and there’s a whole bunch of conspiracy and some romance going on with some high-stakes decisions that have to be made. It is fantastic! If you haven’t read any of the Timeless Series yet, you are really missing out! I can’t wait for the next one. It’s going to be great - there’s a sneak peek of it at the end of this one!

Oh My! I am speechless! The BEST so far in this series!!!!
Every Hour until Then, part of the Timeless Series by Gabrielle Meyer is everything! One of the things I love about this series is that the romance is not heavy and the main focus of the stories. The way Gabrielle Meyer incorporates multiple lines of history, solid true christian themes and encouragement (it's not fluffy and over "religious", but relatable and truly encouraging!) is what makes this series shine for me! In Every Hour until Then we get another genre layer added: clean mystery/thriller! I normally don't read much mystery/thriller because it's so hard to find the clean ones that really draw you in. This one did just that! The layers, the suspense, the good clean romance, you really can't go wrong with this one! If you already enjoy the Timeless series, you will LOVE this one. If you are not a romance fan, but enjoy mysteries, you most likely will enjoy this one! I recommend to all since there are so many layers of genres in this, you won't regret!
Thank you NetGalley, and the author, and publisher for an advanced e-copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

How do these books just keep getting better and better? Whenever I start a new Timeless book by Gabrielle Meyer I know I’m going to be up late because I seriously cannot stop until I know how it ends! So per usual, this was a one day read. I refuse to pick favorites because each book is so unique and thrilling in its own way, but this one probably has the most literal thrills. Kathryn is on the hunt for Jack the Ripper in two different decades when she learns her sister in her earlier timeline is his final victim. But changing history comes with a price according to Time Crosser rules- so if she saves her sister she will likely have to forfeit a life with the only man she’s ever loved.

I loved the dilemmas Kathryn has to wrestle with. How does one choose what’s RIGHT… the ramifications of altering history even slightly are staggering, but how could you live with yourself if you don’t protect someone you love when you have the ability to do so? Who is more important to you… your sister who keeps pushing you away or your lifelong best friend who you’re coming to realize is the love of your life? Do you choose the person you love or the work that you love? Do you unveil the identity of a criminal who history has chosen to hide?

The characters are so well done- heroes and villains alike. I also love a good friends-to-lovers story- one of my favorite tropes. It was so unique that Kathryn’s time periods are so close together- the real danger of maybe running into herself or someone she knew 50 years before and the extra dynamic that added. Book 5 also stands apart as having a real, honest to goodness, MYSTERY, aside from the drama created by the time-crossing choice itself. What a roller coaster!

I loved every minute of this book and I never guessed all that was coming as I got nearer to the end. Meyer has truly penned another masterpiece. I hope this series goes on and on and on… I’m here for every single one.

I received a complementary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. I was not asked to leave a positive review. My opinions are my own.

Is this my new favorite Timeless book?? I think this might be tied with When the Day Comes, and I can hardly believe I'm saying that!

Every Hour Until Then has an epic feel that tugs you through every scene, pushing you to read more to discover the secrets. Typically I don't enjoy anything about a serial killer, so I was honestly a little worried, but the Jack the Ripper storyline had me researching him in real life, y'all. (The details in the book are not grotesque which I appreciated.)

And AUSTEN. Is he my new favorite Timeless hero??

This story had everything I wanted--serious intrigue, romance, pining, suspense, and strong emphasis on God's Will.

I loved it!

Thanks to the publisher for a copy to read and honestly review.
