The Falcon Guides are a great reference resource. Our library has bought many different editions and this will likely be another that we add to the collection. The guide is very helpful for identifying wildflowers that occur in the Sierra Nevada range.

I particularly likely how the flowers are arranged by color, which helps in the initial sort for identification.

For each entry you find the common and scientific name. The description is quite detailed to ensure accurate identification. Also each entry has time when the flowers bloom, the habitat/range along with comments on the plant and Similar species. The best part is the color photograph that is the opening of the entry, that shows the plant as it naturally occurs.
