Thank you to the author, Inkubator Books and NetGalley, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. My apologies for the delay in posting, I had several familial health challenges to contend with in the past months.
This psychological thriller is full of twists and turns, grabbing you right from the start - but unfortunately it's all a bit cookie cutter, with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in, I presume to make sure it's thrilling enough. The female main character was obtuse, self-centered and oblivious - very annoying, and the twists and turns were much too foreseeable.

This book fell a bit short for me compared to her other books. It engaged me and kept me reading, but I felt like I could skim over parts because it was just fluff.

I really like the premise of this book from the beginning with Sloane stealing the manuscript from Barbara, who we are meant to hate. While Sloane isn’t the most likable character I have ever read in a book, I did end up rooting for her by the end of this book. Even though we followed these characters over a longer time frame, the pace of the book still felt faster because Sloane was constantly having to look over her shoulder and stayed on edge.

The blurb of All My Lies intrigued me. Sure, I was slightly apprehensive due to the *other* book with a similar storyline, but I enjoyed this one much more.
The writing style and short chapters made this the definition of a page turner. Yes, I had worked out the twist, but i was kept engaged throughout and the ending fitted really well. Plus, the hint at a sequel? Yes please.

I love Lamarr's books! They never disappoint, and every one I've read so far has been five star worthy!
All My Lies was a fast, fun read with dark undertones and is full of unpredictability. It's an enjoyable and entertaining read with books and authors at its core. I loved all the twists, and the ending had me second guessing myself...how do I always get it so wrong?
Maplewood is one of those postcard perfect idylls where you never expect anything untoward to happen, so when it does it leaves the community reeling.
It's pacey, hot on suspense and has a cast of great characters.
Addictive reading!

I struggled getting into this book. I wasn’t able to relate to the main character. Once I got over halfway through the book, the pace began to pick up. I did like how all the pieces came together in the end though to tie everything up.

This book is easily accessible in language, making it a book many people could read. There are lots of twists and turns; some you see coming, while others may surprise you. I found the writing style and language choices to be a bit kitchy, so it was really hard to get into and enjoy beyond surface level. The characters don't have a lot of depth and it's all a bit farfetched. I do love a psychological thriller, so it wouldn't necessarily sway me from trying another Lamarr book in the future, but this one was not for me. Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC

This was yet another in what seems like a long line lately of books about writers who face consequences based on the books they publish.
Sloan starts out as assistant to infamous author Barbara Van Wyck but soon starts the plot in motion by discovering her boss dead and, instead of reporting her death, steals the manuscript to her latest unpublished novel and passes it off as her own.
Her life seems too good to be true for a while as she experiences success in her career and is suddenly reunited with her high school love... until she starts getting notes that indicate someone knows that she is lying.
The first two parts of the novel were pretty fun to read, thanks to short chapters and interesting characters... but then it goes off the rails with a big twist in part 3. I didn't mind the twist in discovering who had been sending the notes, but it just went way too far out of nowhere and the ending did not satisfy me.
Thanks to Inkubator Books for providing this digital advanced reader copy via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

All My Lies was a captivating thriller with an interesting storyline that captured my attention throughout!
The story follows Sloan, as she publishes her late boss and famous author’s manuscript as her own. In turn, she gains the fame and recognition she’s always desired. All seems fine until she starts receiving ominous messages and gifts from someone who claims to know her secret.
I thought I had the ending figured out, but the twist at the end had me surprised!
I recommend this book if you like twisty thrillers, short chapters, & books filled with secrets!
Thank you Kelly Green and Nelle Lamarr for the ARC!

I enjoyed reading this thriller/suspense novel. There were a few spots where it felt like the plot was a bit slow and predictable, but overall, it’s a really good read! I did eventually guess “who did it” before the end, but was pleasantly surprised by the “why” of it all! I really appreciated the premise of book writing throughout the book - it gave a little glimpse into the world of wiring a “best seller” and what all comes of that - the good and the bad. It’s definitely worth the read - go grab it now!

This book was captivating from the start! It is definitely one of those books that you just don't want to put down. I basically neglected my family for a day just to read it.

All my lies was very suspenseful I felt like some things were left un said and needed explanation. Overall i did enjoy this book and look forward to more from the author.

This book is a gripping psychological drama that delves into the complexities of truth, betrayal, and self-identity. The story follows Grace, a woman whose seemingly perfect life is built on hidden lies, leading to an emotional unraveling. LaMarr’s sharp writing and strong character development create a tense, immersive atmosphere. Grace’s journey of self-discovery and confronting her past is both haunting and relatable. With its compelling narrative and emotional depth, All My Lies is a must-read for fans of intricate, character-driven stories.

A lie might hurt, but the truth can kill.
All My Lies by Nelle Lamarr is an intriguing psychological thriller that will have you reading to the chaotic end.
Sloan is an assistant to Barbara, a famous author. Sure the job isn't the greatest but Sloan dreams to become a best-selling author so maybe having Barbara mentor her will help her along. When one day Sloan returns back to work, she finds Barbara slumped over her typewriter dead. Her latest manuscript is lying there and in desperation Sloan realizes this could be her chance to make her dreams a reality.
I'm not going to go into more detail so as not to spoil the read but definitely check this novel out. Lamarr writes her characters with depth and I loved our female main character Sloans inner dialogue and how determined she is. The plot is fast-paced but still cohesive enough to keep you invested. Definitely going to check out more by Nelle Lamarr!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Nelle Lamarr, and Inkubator Books for this ARC. Expected publication date is February 20th 2025.

This was such a fun read. I loved the characters and felt that they were developed so well. The pace of the book was perfect. I will definitely recommend to friends.

This was a little slow to start but once it picked up it’s really good. I stayed up way too late because I needed to know what happened next. If you pay attention to one detail you’ll figure out some of the twist but definitely not all. This was a quick and entertaining read.
I have this a four star rating because it was entertaining and had a decent twist. It was somewhat predictable. The four star rating has since dropped after reading, I’m not sure why I gave it four stars so with that I’ll say it’s a solid three star read.
The basic storyline was predictable but I guess each went a little further. To me that counts as guessing the twist. It was just exaggerated some. I figured the case Logan was working on was against Sloan, I figured the detective was the father because of the same comment of the old silks. Maybe if the wording in that section was changed it wouldn’t be so obvious.
Even with the ending I’m still confused on the best friend part. Does she want Sloan charged with something? What does she want from her?
I like Sloans will to fight at the end of the book, it shows character growth but she was pretty dang oblivious to everything around her prior to part three.
I kind of hope we get another book that goes more into Beas life. Idk I don’t trust Frank and Maureen with Bea so that could be something for later.

Wow! The description of this book had me really intrigued & I enjoyed the outcome of the book so much. I actually even stayed up all night to finish reading it before its publication day & it had me trying to guess what would happen next with each part of the book. Those last few pages had my head spinning with questions but I was glad to have them answered at the end! I would say that this book is perfect for someone that is a fan of the thriller writing style from Frieda McFadden.

This had a Rip Roaring start, i was like "This is hilarious and SO good, Let's Gooo!" ...and boy howdy did it Go.
I'm a bit shell shocked at how it could it go from an Amazing 5 Star start and end up as a 1 Star for me. Im gutted to not even be able to honestly give it as much as a 2 Star since it started off SO good! :(
Its main downfall was the crass, i mean cuh-Rass, language that literally made me physically cringe and would normally have been an Immediate perma-dnf if i wasn't stuck into going 100% and giving a review. Im not a fan of unnecessary potty mouth as it is, but this went to a Whole nuther level.
The other killers for me were how it just seemed to come to a screeching halt around the middle and get Chick Lit vibe; then all of a sudden we're in What The Holey Hell territory and yeah, then the epilogue had to ram some more vulgarity in my face.
This had Such good potential! Im exhausted. :(

This was a fantastic fast paced thriller, that kept me engaged and hooked the entire time. I had not previously read any books by Nelle Lamarr, but now I will definitely be reading more from her. This book had similar vibes to Lisa Jewell novels and I loved it!
This book is told from a single POV, Sloan who begins the story by working for a difficult but very well known thriller author. The tension really picks up as the story progresses and is very well paced for the events and timeline. I particularly liked Sloan's internal struggles with what she did at the start of the story and how it stays with her throughout the whole book. The ending twists were shocking and unexpected, but made complete sense upon explanation. Overall, this was an original and twisty thriller that fans of Lisa Jewell and Riley Sager will really enjoy.
Thank you to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. Each thriller I read by her is even better than the last. The twists and turns in this book are wild. I guessed one of the big twists but there was still plenty that shocked me. At times I want to shake Sloan and tell her to open her eyes but overall I loved her as a character. The end of this book is perfect and the epilogue was truly shocking. A must read!
