Terms & Conditions by Jensen Parker is a fast-paced and engaging read, perfect for fans of the marriage of convenience trope. While it can technically be read as a standalone, it is part of The Strangers series, and I highly recommend reading the first two books beforehand. Doing so will enhance the overall experience, making it easier to connect with the side characters, who play a significant role in the story.
One of my biggest critiques is that the supporting cast often felt like they took center stage, overshadowing the main couple in several key moments. While I understand the author’s intention to weave their story into the larger series, the heavy focus on side characters sometimes detracted from Josh and Elizabeth’s development. I would have loved to see more depth in their relationship, exploring their emotional growth rather than shifting attention to the wider social circle.
That said, the book still kept me engaged. The family drama, personal struggles, and emotional highs and lows made it an entertaining read. Even though I had mixed feelings about certain aspects, the story held my attention, and I’m now curious to read the first two books and see where the series goes next.
A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the early copy, I’m looking forward to what’s next!

I love love love a marriage in trouble book, it gives all the angst of a non-married romance novel, but like on steroids and I eat it up every time. This one was so interesting as it’s an arranged marriage, turned real, turned into trouble as the deadline comes up and neither Elizabeth or Josh want to discuss their feelings or emotions surrounding the divorce or each other. I love the last hurrah clause and the trip, it forced them to face their issues some what head on but also gave them the opportunity to speak up.
These two really loved each other, but also were both so afraid of the other not loving them back they almost lost it all. There was a lot of twists, this book felt just slightly exaggerated of a friend group’s love struggles but also could be real just unlucky as one could get with all that happened and I think that’s why I rated it 4 stars instead of five. However I did really like this book and the general relationship between Elizabeth and Josh that I couldn’t out it down!

2.5!
Honestly, I really liked the first 65% of this book. It had some back-and-forth, but it was a good kind. It was frustrating at times, but it was still enjoyable for me because the emotions were portrayed in a way that I was able to understand the reason behind it and why they act the way they did.
However, the last 35% had too much going on for me to be able to wrap my head around it all. Yes, the events made sense given the direction the story was going in, but there was just something that I couldn't pinpoint. Honestly, it could just be a me problem and I didn't get it.
This is the first book that I read which was all in the male perspective <spoiler> except the last chapter </spoiler> and I can say I liked it. I genuinely thought it was a refreshing change.
This is the third book in the series and I haven't read the first two, but I will consider it.
Thank you to Jensen Parker, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley for this arc! 💕

This is such a raw and realistic story of two idiots hopelessly in love with each other. If follows Josh and Elizabeth as they navigate their arranged marriage coming to an end. I really loved that it shows that relationships aren't perfect and neither are people. The miscommunication in this felt almost too real as when they were fighting, they were puttting up defenses and tryinh to protect their hearts, instead of being fully vulnerable. Both characters were flawed but they did the work to improve themselves and their communication. The characters were well-developed and complemented each other really well. I was living for the drama that happens on the weekend trip. I also really enjoyed the dual timeline as we got to see them fall in love twice. This was a beautiful story of love and growth.

I was so excited to read Terms & Conditions because Jensen Parker is such a sweet indie author and I enjoyed reading the other books in her series. This third novel did not disappoint! I love all of the characters and the connections between the other novels, as well as the law terminology used throughout the book. I can’t wait to read more and support Jensen in future endeavors!

4.75 stars. I have been excited and waiting for it since Jensen announced it. This has to be my favorite book in the series so far. I enjoyed the dual timeline of Josh and Elizabeth's relationship, and seeing how certain scenes played out. This book is emotional and takes you on a rollercoaster, but it's worth it. I was rooting for Josh and Elizabeth the whole time. I loved their chemistry together. The twist towards the end had me shocked. The last chapter though! I'm interested in seeing who it is. I'm so excited for book 4 to come out!
Thank you, Jensen Parker, for an ARC copy. All thoughts are my own.

Overall I sort of enjoyed this book. I loved the arranged marriage trope and the characters but I kept losing interest as I was reading. Some parts would pull me in then I'd end up skimming a bunch. It just wasn't the right book for me.

The book was decently written, and the story and drama surrounding the characters was really interesting. Which is why I have it a 3. The ending was also amazing and made me actually want to read more of the books. But I just wasn’t a huge fan, and so want to preface the rest of this by saying I DID NOT read the first books in the series. Maybe if I had, their love story would have made more sense.
I was really looking forward to this book. I love all things fake dating and arrange marriage, but I could not get into the characters, and had no real desire to root for them. It’s unclear to me why Josh fell in love with Elizabeth. He says he does, but he refuses to actually talk to anyone about it, least of all Elizabeth herself. It started off as a tough sell from the moment we learn why Josh agreed to the marriage, and what he would be getting out of the arrangement. I also never got to see enough of Elizabeth and get to know her as a character the only thing I can recall is how her family died, and that she loved Christmas. It really wasn’t a bad book, but it just didn’t really do it for me, and I can recognize that.

Oh.im.so glad I got the chance to read this. It's such a contemporary and original idea. Even from the blurb I felt interest, intrigue and buzz oozed off ready for me to dive in. And it was just as good as I thought it would be.
They both have their reasons for ending up where they are. And that is an arranged marriage. Now for ten years they have had to fake it. Butnhas it all been a lie. Has it all been forced. And do they, now they can end their contract really want it to be over...walk away
....
For good?
The tension. The story telling. The here and now.mixes with flashbacks filling us in. It was all such a brilliant premise that followed by an equally brilliant book.
Loved this one.

Terms & Conditions by Jensen Parker is a captivating romance that explores the complexities of an arranged marriage built on secrets and contracts. Josh Davis, forced into a deal to cover up a mistake, and Elizabeth Cain, bound by her parents’ will to marry for her inheritance, are thrust into a fake relationship that blurs the line between obligation and genuine affection. As they navigate a decade of pretending, the end of their contract forces them to confront their true feelings. With a perfect balance of tension, heart, and unexpected romance, this novel keeps readers hooked until the very last page.

I dont know how I didnt remember this was the third book in a series. I loved it. The marriage of convenience of it all it one of my favorite tropes. I loved the dynamic between Josh and Elizabeth. They both have their own reasons behind entering this marriage. However there's more to their relationship than just how they can benefit from the situation. The tension and relationship that is displayed between the story. I've never read a Jensen Parker book prior to this. This will not be my last.

I liked the premise of the plot, and I enjoyed the flashbacks that provide more history however I constantly felt lost with the side characters, definitely would need to read the previous books and isn't as standalone as indicated.

This book was the first book written by Jensen Parker that I have had the joy to read, and I am glad I took the opportunity to request an ARC.this Nook was very enjoyable, Josh and Elizabeth had a connection that was evident and their journey was perfectly written, the ensign had me shook, the cliffhanger was definitely unexpected.

Terms and Conditions is a great book with lots of twists and turns. There are two things I didn’t like about it. The first is how it keeps jumping from what is happening now, Josh trying to get ostracized living without Elizabeth and it was affecting him, to what happened in the past; I.e: current events triggering the good and bad memories. I feel that the “then “ stuff could have remained. In the “now” section, as it would have made the flow better and made it easier to remember between the now and then. Also instead of now or then, there could have been “titles to the chapters, like “ I really don’t want to go on this trip or is the b*tch serious, would have injected some much needed humor, due to the heaviness of the subject matter.
A couple of the things I really liked about this book were that at the end of the book, it shows how they really have stepped up and continued to listen to each other, which was a big sticking point throughout the book, and second, the author developed the characters very well, which between that and the surprise ending, left you breathlessly waiting for the next book..
This book has what every great book needs: love, hate, surprises, and a touch of mystery; I would give this book 4/5 stars and would recommend this book to ages 18+ You will have a great time reading this book and may even learn something about yourself along the way.

Sweet and heart wrenching. An arranged marriage that is about to expire, but during this time did love actually take root? Or was everything just simply a carefully constructed lie, a perfectly held together facade?
This book is beautifully written with exceptional characters. It is written in multiple POV which offers a good perspective from both the FMC and the MMC and adds depth to the story and the emotions.
I enjoyed this from the first page, and although this is part of a series I felt that it was read okay as a stand alone given the author does a good job of recapping previous characters and backstories so everything flows.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
✨ARC COPY ✨
true enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers again. plus, it’s in the guys pov which we hardly ever get. now, personally i have not read anything else from this series, nor this offer. so i went in kinda completely blind lol but was pleasantly surprised by this book.
i really loved how it starts with the way that the whole arranged marriage thing began. while also jumping back and forth in the timeline of Josh and Elizabeth’s story. It gave us the opportunity to fully connect and understand the characters throughout the story.
however, i wish that their actual happy ending happened earlier in the book instead of in the last 25% (‘: BUT… THAT ENDING??? has me hooked and ready for the next one
huge thank you to Netgalley and Jensen for allowing me to get an ARC of this book!

Thanks for making me feel every emotion I could possibly feel. Jensen did such an amazing job! This was a good one! Definitely pick this one up on Valentine's Day.

"Terms & Conditions" is the third book in Jensen Parker's "Strangers" series. I was initially interested in this book because of the arranged marriage and enemies-to-lovers tropes. Elizabeth and Josh both hate each other. But in order to achieve their goals, they are forced into an arranged marriage of at least 6.5 years. Their hatred slowly turns into something deeper, and the two of them begin to develop feelings. However, at the end of the required timeline, Elizabeth still insists on a divorce. However, can one last trip convince either of them to change their minds?
As much as I wanted to, I had a hard time getting into this book. Neither of the main characters were easy to root for, and there were so many side characters that it was much too confusing. Also, the constant change in point of view *and* changing timelines just made things too difficult to keep up with. I found myself skimming just to finish the book. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed the tropes and premise of this book. Josh’s love for Elizabeth was strong throughout, though I wish we could’ve gotten more of Elizabeth’s POV!

This book was quite pleasant! I have enjoyed Jensen's other books, and this was no different. I want to keep this spoiler free so I am just going to leave you with a short review! I loved the plot- I thought the pacing, the character growth, the compatibility, everything was there. However, the one thing I struggled with was the onslaught of characters mentioned in the beginning. Even with the prior knowledge of the world and the couples in the universe there were so many names mentioned it was quite overwhelming.
I love a good dual timeline book but I think it got quite complicated with all of the characters existing in both timelines. It wasn't enough of a detriment for me to but it down to anything less than 3.5 stars!
Thank you Jensen Parker for the advanced copy!
