Put your "to do" list down because nothing is getting done when you start reading this gem! It is binge worthy. Shari Lapena is amazing and this suburban mystery does not disappoint. She gives us a worthy cast of suspects and it is our job to solve the case. Juicy lies, a web of secrets and the lesson that the seemingly perfect life usually isn't perfect at all. Lapena did an excellent job of mounting the tension and building suspense, Thank you NetGalley for this one. It is fantastic!

OMG! Ok so I am always waiting for Shari Lapena to write a new book. She is my favorite author and I love everything she has written. I truly kept checking NetGalley every week to see if she had a new book and I was so excited when I got approved to read the advanced copy.
This book absolutely hooked me from the start. I was 25% of the way in and my heart was racing. In fact, my son called me so I took a break to answer my phone but I was obviously distracted thinking about getting back to the book and he kept saying "are you ok? Do you want to go?" oops,
I truly suspected almost everyone in this story and I was shocked right up to the very end. I only wish we would have gotten a glimpse and some closure with Bryden & Lizzie's parents, Sam & Clara, etc.
LOVED this book. I tried to slow down reading it to make it last but I couldn't. I can't wait for Shari's next one!

She Didn’t See It Coming is a fast-paced mystery, full of paranoia and lies. Bryden Frost is working from home, when she suddenly disappears. We get multiple viewpoints from the people in her life, as they grow more and more suspicious of each other. I flew through this one in 2 days. Highly recommended.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

First things first - this book, as a whole, isn't bad, but I could not stand the ending & that's the most important part, right? There was so many interesting story lines that could've led somewhere the just...didn't. I feel like Lapena used the story lines as misdirection, which, fair enough, it's a mystery, but then just dropped them. The ending felt rushed & just like, "I know I've told you all about these people, but here's actually who did it." Like, huh?

A twisted psychological thriller that will leave you wondering who the killer is right up to the end! A web of not so trustworthy characters combine to create quite a tapestry of potential perpetrators.

She Didn’t See It Coming is the latest binge-able thriller by Shari Lapena. This book contained everything I love in a thriller from a beginning that sucks you in immediately to a cast of characters who isn’t who they seem.
I read this book in a day, and recommend it to anyone who wants to get lost in a good domestic thriller.

She Didn’t See It Coming by Shari Lapena is such a wild, twisty read that kept me guessing the whole way through. The story begins with Bryden, a picture perfect wife and mom, disappearing from her luxury condo out of nowhere. The book does an amazing job of making you suspect everyone. Sam, the husband, seems like the loving dad, but as the story goes on, you start wondering if he’s hiding something. Then there are the neighbors, who all seem way too interested in what’s going on. It’s suspenseful, dramatic, and full of paranoia, I couldn’t put it down!

Did I really binge-read this book in a single day? Yes, I did, and I have no shame about it! Shari Lapena is the queen of binge-worthy murder mystery novels, and this book was no exception. I was immediately hooked and went on an wild ride to uncover the identity of the murderer, which included a cast of potential suspects. As the author expanded the list of suspects, more secrets emerged, making me even more intrigued by the juicy lies and hidden truths. While I found the identity of the suspect relatively easy to guess once a few clues were revealed, the book was still an enjoyable experience overall.
Also this may be random but the title of the book reminded me of the Broadway song from *Chicago* with the lyrics "He had it coming." I found myself singing that line in my head as I read, which made the reading experience even more enjoyable.
