Manchester United by David J. Clark was the perfect book to get my 6th grade son involved in reading. My son prefers to do, and soccer is his sport. His dad is a Manchester United fan. This book was the perfect way to talk about significant events and history that have happened with the club without being boring for my son. My husband and son both enjoyed the material that was included in the book.

It's a shame the reviewing gods gave me a glimpse of this set with this title – of the eight there are two I would have much preferred to be spending time with. Still, this is a slip of a title for those reluctant readers who would appreciate ticking off a non-fiction book they would know much of the contents of. This starts with the rare 2024 FA Cup final victory for Man U, before skipping back to the beginning and taking us up to the modern day again, with a few good stats buried in the captions and a decent level of illustration to make the page brighter. It won't make anyone a fan of the club (and neither will their league health at time of writing) but it's undeniably a decent article.

I am not a English Premiere soccer fan. I am a HUGE MLS fan. This book was so interesting. I loved reading about the history of the team. It was so interesting . Fun read and the pictures were great. I cannot wait to read more soccer team histories.
I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review.
