Thank you VIZ Media LLC for the digital ARC via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have been enjoying this series and while the third volume keeps the same momentum from the first two, I wasn't as invested in the characters this one followed until the end with Yamaki. I do look forward to seeing what happens next after where this one left off and hope the characters I do like have more page time in the next volume. The artwork remains very well done, the brutal scenes are grim, and there's plenty of character/squad development. If you like dark, twisty, action stories with violence then you will likely enjoy this third volume in the series.

Battle Royale: Enforcers, Vol. 3 ratchets up the intensity, paranoia, and psychological tension in this brutal installment of the dystopian manga series. As the twisted Program 68 grinds on, the illusion of teamwork among the students completely unravels. Alliances fracture, betrayals multiply, and the lines between survival and savagery blur beyond recognition.
This volume delivers a relentless pace and high emotional stakes, diving deeper into the psyches of several key characters. Squad 2's implosion is both shocking and tragically believable, a grim reminder that fear and desperation can turn even allies into threats. Meanwhile, Squad 1’s internal scheming adds a strategic, almost chess-like layer to the bloodshed that keeps readers guessing who will strike next—and who will survive the night.
The art continues to be gritty and expressive, emphasizing the horror of close-quarters violence and the slow unraveling of youthful innocence. While the relentless grimness may be overwhelming for some, it’s precisely this unflinching tone that gives the story its disturbing power.
Volume 3 doesn’t pull any punches. It’s raw, chaotic, and tragic—a gripping continuation that shows just how quickly order collapses when humanity is weaponized. Not for the faint of heart, but a must-read for fans of dark, high-stakes survival manga.
