He lack confidence...

Rowan is a weak male lead and lacks confidence. He easily sways to the opinions of others and worries so much of what the paparazzi says, he dumps Princess Isabella. Isabella just kind of goes along with things.

I am not a big fan of weak MMCs at all which is why it kept losing my attention. It took me several weeks to finish because the plot just didn't do it for me and nor did the characters. I hate self-sacrificing doormat FMCs and selfish & egotistical MMCs. He chose himself, his family and friends over the woman he supposedly loved all because the press painted him as a hanger-on or something. An Alpha Hero this one is not and I am sorry but FMC should not have been so forgiving. Even int he present when they meet again, he is still thinking of himself instead of the woman he supposedly had loved/loves. That doesn't speak to me as "love" or "romance".
