Well, I’m embarrassed to say I received a copy of this book many years ago and forgot I had it. I’m disappointed I never read it earlier as it was just pure fun. It’s a big series but this was the first book I started to read and didn’t feel like I was missing part of the story. Megan is a young officer with her K-9 partner, Brigit, on the hunt for a purse snatcher/mugger. She’s caught between Seth, the sexy firefighter she had a relationship with previously, and Clint, the sexy horse riding deputy. While she’s analyzing her options she’s also a novice detective and doing a great job following the clues, I enjoyed my copy and plan to read more of the series, but this is my voluntary review for now.

I loved this book! Great story...I really enjoyed reading it & cant wait to read more books in the series!

I liked the first book more but Paw and Order was ok. I enjoyed Brigit's thoughts the most and initially thought she was more capable than Megan. Megan being the fluffy puppy of the duo. Megan settled down and became quite capable. I liked that Megan was actually doing some investigating and putting two and two together. Lately, it seems all the mysteries get solved by accident or the killer outing themself to the main character.
I can't rate it higher because the story, especially the relationship elements, didn't wow me. The bad guy was kind of ho hum too.
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
