I enjoyed the writing and thought it flowed well, and the characters had their moments—but overall, I struggled to stay connected. There was so much happening in the story, yet somehow it still felt like not much was actually moving forward. It wasn’t a bad read by any means, just one that didn’t fully land for me. I think others might enjoy it more, especially if they like layered plots.

Oh my gosh! Another addicting story from Coryall!!!!!! I loved this book! It was fun and mysterious. I was addicted! I really loved this main character and she was SO different than the main character in Letters to a Serial Killer! I really enjoyed all the characters in this book even the asshole ones! This book was just so much fun!!!! You won’t want to miss this awesome book!

This book had so much potential to be amazing. Unfortunately it didn't hit it's mark for me. I found it to be all over the place and like one long run on sentence. I also found it to be somewhat predictable.
I did laugh at the reference to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City when Lexie was talking about her mom's incarceration.
It was an entertaining read and has a super fun cover. Unfortunately it just wasn't for me.
Thank you Berkley Publishing Group, Netgalley, and Tasha Coryell for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book for my honest review.

This book was thoroughly unhinged in a good way! I had never read anything by this author, but the cover is what caught my attention and what a ride!
I cant say much without giving it away but this had some funny moments and made a ton of valid points regarding women and our valid even if at times hysterical, feelings.
Definitely enjoyed this and everyone should read it! Especially, if you are a woman.

Lexie had the perfect life: a doctor fiancé, a ride-or-die best friend, and a surprise party planned in her honor. Or so she thought. The only surprise planned for her birthday was the two most important people in her life revealing they were having an affair, fell in love, and she would be left alone to lick her wounds once again.
With a smile on her face and denial in her heart, Lexie dives headfirst into reclaiming what she believes is hers. She reminds herself to show no emotion, to shrink herself into something digestible for the man she loves. But beneath the designer shoes and fake lashes lies something far more dangerous—and maybe even inherited. We have severed body parts and the kind of glossy femininity that conceals real, feral rage.
Matchmaking for Psychopaths is as absurd as it is brutal. Lexie is exactly like the reality TV stars she is obsessed with, and I found myself screaming at my book much like she would the tv. The less you know the better, just dive in and get ready for some fun twists.
Huge thanks to Berkley Publicity and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was deliciously unhinged! I hate the cover of this book, so I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading and was instantly sucked in. You never quite know where you stand with Lexie, which made things even more interesting. This was a fast paced read and I loved the extra depth the flashbacks to Lexie's childhood gave. I had a blast reading this crazy story!
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for access to this arc!

this book was absolutely wild & unlike anything else i have ever read before! i had such a fun time with this one. the characters are SO morally black - not even gray - they are bad people, but im sitting here reading this book and rooting for them? this is by far the most unique book i have ever read. i can’t wait to read more by this author and hope her other books are just as quirky, creepy, & funny. if you’re looking for a dark, humorous thriller this is 100% the book to read.

MATCHMAKING FOR PSYCHOPATHS - Interesting. Intense. Entertaining. Romantic. Good characters. Good story lines. Good twists. Thinking this was a light, funny read, I was surprised when it had some substance to it, and was still funny. Source: Netgalley. 4*

Wow this book was FUN! It’s a book that you’ll be able to read in one sitting because it is that immersive. I did the audio route and wow, did this narrator bring this book to life! I loved her narration and will be adding her to my favorites list!
“All choices seemed rational to the people who made them.”
I enjoyed Coryell’s previous novel, Love Letters to a Serial Killer, for its unique premise and witty writing but this one is truly a must read! Alex is such a captivating and multifaceted character. Her upbringing leaves her craving safety and love which she channels not only into her personal quest for love and friendship but also into a career as a matchmaker with clients who sit somewhere on the psychopathy scale. There’s so much more to unveil throughout. Between being betrayed by her fiancé and best friend, to body parts showing up on her doorstep-this one is packed with the drama, the thrills, and the comedic writing to balance it all.
“Loneliness wasn’t treated as a crisis....but I knew from my years as a matchmaker it could make people act just as irrationally.”
As Alex’s world spirals, the tension builds and oh what an exciting journey it is as a reader. There’s twists along the way and I promise this is one you are not going to want to miss!

I want to preface everything I’m about to say with this book was highly entertaining. A wild ride. The premise is unique and gripping. I also LOVED how the story opened and it was a great move on the author’s part. I had to know how this story was going to end. Matchmaking psychopaths? What could go wrong?
But there were several things I had a problem with. SO much was going on and at times it didn’t feel like a cohesive story. While it was playful and laugh out loud funny some moments, I also felt it didn’t handle the darker topics with much care. The FMC’s relationship she finds herself in was quite a sudden and I could also see the twist from a mile away. But in trying to steer us away from coming to that conclusion too early, I felt the author was making the story confusing.
I know there are going to be people who enjoy this book, I just unfortunately don’t think it was for me.

I really wanted to like this book. The cover and title are eyecatchers but I found the story lacking. I was not a fan of any of the characters and I found the storyline to be too much to handle.

Lexie is very good at her job, and her job happens to be creating love connections for very particular clients, psychopaths to be exact. She is always careful to keep her personal and professional lives distinctly separate, but after getting dumped on her birthday, Lexie befriends a charming new single, Rebecca. One bad decision leads to another in this hard-to-define story. This novel is funny, romantic, weird, and thrilling all wrapped up in a twisty murder mystery.

Welcome to the new and improved method of finding your perfect match…especially if you happen to be a psychopath!
Lexie is about to achieve everything she ever hoped for. Her career as a matchmaker for psychopaths is taking off (Gee…that sounds like fun!)😂
And her boyfriend, (a doctor no less) is about to propose. She’ll be set for life. And today is her birthday! Lexie is sure that tonight’s dinner out will be the moment he proposes.
Pardon moi Lexie…but you couldn’t be more wrong!
In fact, her boyfriend and her best friend just declared their love for each other and poor Lexie is the odd man (woman) out! Wait…what⁉️
Looking for support and a friendly shoulder, Lexie befriends one of her clients, Rebecca. Lexie, you do remember your clients are ‘psychopaths’? Right?
It may just dawn on her after her ex-boyfriend suddenly dies. And that's only the beginning.
This book is as fun and quirky as the cover art! I really enjoyed Tasha Coryell’s previous read, Love Letters To A Serial Killer and this latest is just as much fun! Alright Tasha I’m ready for your next!

Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!
I loved this. I’m a huge fan of this author’s previous novel so I knew I was in for a wild ride with this one!
I really enjoyed our main character Lexie. From being the child of murderers to being a matchmaker. Lexies relationship with life and being a women was full of complexities and internal struggles.
I loved the commentary on the struggles of being a women in society. How everything we enjoy and love is viewed as frivolous and almost unworthy. How we have to make ourselves palatable just for the sake of men and for the sake of being liked. Tasha Coryell truly is a master of her craft and I’m very much looking forward to whatever else she writes.
My full reviews for my socials will be posted closer to release date

3.5 ⭐⭐⭐✨ rounding up to 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
psy*cho*path n a person who engages in antisocial behavior and exhibits a pervasive disregard for the rights, feelings, and safety of others. (Webster's definition)
One look at the cover and I was in. I don't even recall looking at the synopsis to be honest. So, I rounded up from my rating of a 3.5 because I read this in two sittings and even though I guessed the 'who' the motive got me good. I added this as a romance and a thriller but IMO it sits between the two and felt like a character study of Alexandra with more action and humor than the usual. This one isn't easy to put in a box. I struggled for a few days in how to rate, review, and describe it. It is unique, making for an unpredictable plot.
Alexandra (Lexi) grew up with parents who were obsessed with each other to the point of neglecting her basic needs. Hunger and loneliness were her constant companions. As an adult, she has built a successful relationship, home, and career. Her beautiful life dissolves before her eyes when her fiancée and best friend confess to an affair at Lexi's birthday dinner. She pours herself into her matchmaking career. Her upbringing gives her unique qualifications to be able to understand her specialized clientele as they all sit on the scale of psychopathy according to their interviews and detailed paperwork. Not that they realize what they are. Until one day a guy shows up plainly stating he's a psychopath and he already knows who he wants to date.
The loss of her best friend and fiancée creates a hole in her life as Lexi isn't a social butterfly, preferring ordering in and watching reality T.V. Enter Rebecca a client who gives off new friend energy like a ray of light. The pair clicks in a way that signals something special. Lexi breaks the rules at work and befriends Rebecca. Things are looking up until gruesome gifts begin to arrive at Lexi's door.
My issues with this story were uneven pacing and repetitiveness. I loved the entertaining plot and dark humor. There were a lot of past and present threads going on here which was a double-edged sword because although it kept me engaged it also felt like there was a lot squeezed into one book.
Overall, I liked this one and would read more by this author.

Thank you to Berkley for providing an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was wild in the best way. It’s smart, dark, and completely original. The idea of a woman secretly matchmaking psychopaths while navigating her own emotional wreckage is just as intense and fun as it sounds. Lexie is such a complex character. You can’t help but root for her even as her world spirals into chaos.
The tension builds with every chapter and the twists kept me on edge the whole time. The writing is clever and sharp, blending thriller and dark humor in a way that really works. I didn’t want to put it down.
If you like your thrillers a little weird, a little funny, and a lot twisted, this one is a must-read. Five stars.

Full review to come on Goodreads and Amazon. Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for a review copy.

3.5/5 l thought this book was entertaining. There was consistent drama throughout the book, dark humor, and overall I was entertained. I did feel that at times Lexie could have acted more age appropriate but considering her childhood it makes sense that she may struggle to make good decisions when it comes to relationships and making connections. I was not expecting the book the end the way it did! That was a surprise to me for sure. I love the mystery of who was blackmailing Lexie. It added to the plot and made this book so much more than just a dark romance! I’d like to thank net galley and Berkeley publishing for this ARC.

This book is a great blend of what could be romance and a dash of psychological thriller. This is an easy read, so I got through it in one sitting.
The book follows Lexie as she comes to terms with the fact that her life doesn't fit into the simple, quiet cookie cutter lifestyle she had so hoped to achieve after a traumatic childhood.
Her character development throughout the book was a little predictable to me, but given she was the narrator, I feel like you can look past it because she's progressing as the story goes along so you see all these different facets of her past and present colliding to shape her thoughts and actions as she goes.
The ending was a fun little twist I didn't entirely suspect. I did have my suspicions on who was taunting her, but the why of it was a nice little surprise I didn't see coming.
I would recommend to this to anyone who likes an easy read with a couple speckles of macabre

This book was bananas, but in the best way! Think reality TV meets Dexter meets obsession and darkness with a little bit of love thrown into the mix. I will say the pacing wasn’t perfect, but overall, this was a fun and crazy ride!
My thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
