Really enjoyed this in audio!
Another incredible book in the Finlay Donovan series! We get to know Mrs. Haggerty more in this book and I laughed until I cried! Can’t wait for #6 - Team Finlay!!
Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read this advanced copy. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I LOVE FINLAY DONOVAN!!!!! This is my favorite series of all time. I am so thankful to have received this audio early!

It is the third best book in the series. Ties up much of the story that has been dragging on since book one.
Humorous and cozy mystery. I look forward to the next one.

I was given a copy for an honest review
As much as I love Finlay Donovan and this series, but sadly, this book in the series was just 4 stars. There wasn't much action. The premise was a bit boring, no real murder taken place in this book. This book I feel is a filler in the series.

Love this series!! It gets better and better with every book. In this installment, Finlay and Vero gets stuck with Finlay's neighbour Mrs. Haggerty as her house remains an active crime scene and on top of that, Finlay's ex-husband, Steve's gets arrested for murder. Finlay and Vero has no choice but to get involved and help solve the murder. Finlay, to her core, knows that Steve did not do this. Like the previous books, this book was so much for to listen to and it was all engaging! There were so many layers to the mystery and so much going on. Loved it all and cannot wait for the next installment.

Finn and Vero are back from Atlantic City, ready to get back into routine, potty training Zach and keeping Delia out of trouble at school. What wasn’t on their agenda - a dead body being found in Mrs. Haggerty’s backyard and Steven being the main suspect! With nowhere to go after being cleared by the police, her house a crime scene and no power, Mrs. Haggerty makes herself at home with Finlay and Vero. The three have many secrets between them, but which one will solve the murder mystery?
I’m a huge fan of this series and I hope it will continue for a long while yet! This was a fun domestic mystery and the rag-tag, odd-ball characters are what makes it so loveable. Mrs. Haggerty added a fun twist to the plot and a wrench into Finn and Vero’s hijinks. I enjoy the every day obstacles thrown at Finn and how she tackles the smallest and weirdest events. Raising her kids as a divorcee, on top of all the skeletons her and Vero are hiding, and dating a hot cop, it’s a lot to juggle!
Narrated by Angela Dawe, her performance makes these books so fun to listen to. She is these characters to me - from Finn and Vero, to the kids, Mrs. Haggerty, Nick, and Cam. She adds so much character to all the voices, it’s like a full cast narration.
I hope all Finlay fans will enjoy this novel just as I have. I’m super intrigued to see where the next book might take us. I’m only slightly upset by reading this early copy, but definitely looking forward to more adventures with Finn, Vero and the crew 💕 4.5⭐️
Thank you to Macmillan Audio for the audiobook to review.

I'm always a sucker for a new Finlay Donovan story. There are some that I enjoy more than others, but unfortunately I think this one was among one of my least favorites of the series. It still had my interest and of course, I always enjoy being with these characters again. The audiobook was great! I love how the same narrator has done all the Finlay books. She also does the perfect voice for Vero. Overall, these books are always a fun time and a great palate cleanser.

A huge thank you to Netgalley for this ARC of book 5 in what is hands down my favorite series! Finlay and Vero always seem to find trouble and from the first chapter of this one, I was hooked into the drama, the romance, and the suspense. I've enjoyed all of the Finaly Donovan series but this one was by far my favorite for many reasons (but I don't want to ruin it for everyone else so no spoilers here). I was fortunate enough to snag both the book and audio so I read and listened. The narrator is fantastic, the plot is always unique and the love stories (swoon). The world needs more of Finlay and her crew, so please keep writing!

Ahh I absolutely LOVE the Finlay Donovan books and couldn't wait to read this one!!
Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero have not always gotten along with Finlay’s elderly neighbor, Mrs. Haggerty, the community busybody and president of the neighborhood watch. But when a simple call to a plumber turns into the discovery of a dead body in her backyard, Mrs. Haggerty needs their help.
The police take Mrs. Haggerty in for questioning and, though she swears she’s innocent, it’s clear to everyone she’s keeping a secret . . . but whose? With her house now an active crime scene, she’s released from custody with nowhere to go. Her concerned grandson, Brendan, an aspiring politician, doesn’t have room in his one-bedroom apartment for her and appeals to Finlay to let her stay at her place until the investigation is over.
Finlay and Vero have no interest in getting involved in another murder case—or sacrificing either of their bedrooms so they’d have to share. After all, they’ve dealt with enough murders over the last four months to last a lifetime and they both would much rather share their beds with someone else. But when the focus of the investigation widens to include Mrs. Haggerty’s neighbors, Finn and Vero are left with little choice but to uncover the woman’s secrets before the police start digging up theirs.
I couldn't put this one down and am so excited that I got to read it!

3.5/5 stars
Sadly, this was not my favorite installment of the series.
The stakes did not feel as high as the last ones, which resulted in the plot dragging a little at certain points. I was still entertained for the most part, but I miss how utterly obsessed I was over the first two books of the series.
Although, I did really enjoy seeing more of Mrs. Haggerty. Her quick bond with Cam, another of my favorite characters, was really sweet and funny.
Will I still be reading the next book? Yes, but I am sad to say that I am starting to wish that the series would wrap up nicely before it further loses its initial spark...

This was my first book by Elle Cosimano. I was not aware that this book was #5 in the series. However, it can be enjoyed as a stand alone. Finlay,, Vero and Mrs. Haggerty are hilarious in this who done it. The ending left a bit of a cliff hanger. The narration is done well. I will go back and read the others in the series.
Thank you #NetGalley, #MacmillanAudio, #ElleCosimano, #AngelaDawe and #FinlayDonovanDigsHerOwnGrave for the audiobook for my honest review.

This wasn’t my favorite of the series but it was fun. There were some people I’d forgotten about that we see pop up in this one and then there is Mrs Haggerty. No words for her!!! And of course this one ended on a cliff hanger!! 🙃 These are fun popcorn reads in my opinion. 4 stars.
