very cute! and it did some clever things with the time loop that I hadn't seen before and enjoyed. got a little info dumpy and rushed towards the end but overall I liked this one very much

Jackie Lau absolutely nails the time loop trope in Time Loops and Meet Cutes, delivering a story that’s equal parts heartfelt, hilarious, and brimming with romance. As someone who loves a good mix of rom com charm and deeper emotional layers, this book checked all the right boxes for me. It reminded me of Freaky Friday, but make it an adult romance!
Noelle Tom’s struggle is incredibly relatable—trapped in the cycle of work, routine, and never quite slowing down enough to figure out what truly makes her happy. The time loop forcing her to relive the same Friday over and over had me hooked, but it was her unexpected connection with Cam that stole my heart. Their meet cutes (yes, plural!) were sweet, awkward, and swoony, and I loved watching Noelle slowly lower her walls.
One of my favorite things about this book is how Lau seamlessly blends humor with introspection. It’s laugh out loud funny one moment and deeply emotional the next. Noelle’s journey is not just about breaking the loop—it’s about learning to be present, to let go of perfectionism, and to take a chance on love, even when the future is uncertain. And let’s be real, Cam? Absolute book boyfriend material. If there’s one book boyfriend I wouldn’t mind reliving a day with, it’s him.
Time Loops and Meet Cutes is the kind of book that sticks with you long after you turn the last page. It’s witty, cozy, and full of heart—a must read for anyone who loves a romance with a little magic and a lot of feels.
Thank you to NetGalley, Jackie Lau, and Atria Books for the eARC of this book.

When I first read the blurb for this book I was so beyond excited. Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies and let me tell you, this book lived up to every expectation! What a beautiful story! Noelle and Cam are so sweet together and I love how the story is this wonderful romance while still having little aspects of mystery involved since you truly don’t know what’s going on! It also gets emotional and I found myself laughing and crying right along with both of them. I read this in one sitting and couldn’t put it down! An absolutely perfect book from start to finish! An easy 5 stars!

Time loop story where she’s not the only one in a time loop and has someone to lean on while trying to figure out how to get out of it. Noelle and Avery’s friendship was one of the best parts of this book

I really enjoy Jackie Lau's books, and "Time Loops & Meet Cutes" does not disappoint! I definitely stayed up too late reading this one.
I'm usually not a fan of time travel, and the part explaining the time loop is perhaps the weakest section of the book, but I loved "Time Loops & Meet Cutes." Noelle was the perfect, relatable rom-com lead, with her frustrating engineering job, her struggles to connect to her family, and her heart broken long ago. Cam was a great male lead and a good foil to Noelle, with his quick charm, his easy-going nature, and his kindness. Both characters have room to grow and change, which I always appreciate in a rom-com, and although Noelle has more needed growth, it does feel like the time loop gives her the time as organically as a time-travel trope can. Avery, Noelle's time-loop buddy was also a great character and so necessary to keep the repeating time from getting boring. Lau handles the repetition with a deft hand and keeps the story moving along.
I love her dialogue and character interactions, as well as how the characters are grounded in the setting without spilling too much ink describing every detail of the world.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! Thanks to NetGalley and Atria books for the ARC; all opinions are my own.

This is so different than any other book I've read before! Part One had me in the edge of my seat, turning every page thinking 'Are they finally going to get out!?' Then the plot twist in Part Two!?
This was a wild ride and I reaaally hope it's not over and we get an Avery story!

I’m giving this book around 4.5 stars. this book was absolutely amazing. i’m not even exaggerating when i’m saying i adored this book. usually i don’t like stories with time loops, but something about this book was just so silly and interesting and i feel like i say it often but just fun. one thing that i feel like was on my behalf, i thought this was a ya romance but i was proved wrong. luckily its not very heavy on that though, but overall this was a really good book and 100% will be recommended by me as soon as it releases.

After eating the most delicious dumplings at a night market, Noelle wakes up to the same exact day (seriously, June 20th—again). And much to her dismay, the pattern repeats as she seems to be stuck in some kind of strange time loop.
If everything resets the next day, Noelle begins to wonder what exactly should she try that she hasn’t had the courage to before?! Flirting with the cute guy she meets at a brewery? Finally telling her boss that she deserves a raise? Spending money that she wouldn’t have spent otherwise? The sky is the limit when it all resets the next day.
Jackie Lau’s novel Time Loops & Meet Cutes was intriguing—I’d never considered how I’d approach being stuck in a time loop and how important the seemingly small things are in our lives. I loved this one!

I love a good love story and I just finished a unique one. Time Loops and Meet Cutes by Jackie Lau was a good read!

The story centers on Noelle Tom, a diligent engineer who finds herself trapped in an endless loop of the same Friday after consuming mysterious dumplings at a night market. Each morning, familiar events unfold: her alarm rings at 6:45, the Wordle answer is "happy," and her work efforts vanish overnight. As Noelle navigates this repetitive cycle, she encounters Cam, a charming brewery owner who, despite not recalling their previous meetings, becomes a recurring figure in her day. Determined to break free from the loop, Noelle steps out of her comfort zone, embracing new experiences and reevaluating her priorities.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.
A woman keeps reliving the same Friday over and over after eating dumplings. She keeps reliving the same Friday morning routine and the tedious cycle her life is. She meets a guy during her Friday as she starts to look forward seeing him despite wanting the loop to end. Afraid of breaking the cycle and that she will never see him again. It is a cute read that will have you smiling.

Time Loops & Meet Cutes by Jackie Lau was a fun read that made me want to relive some days over and over until I get them JUST right.
Noelle Tom really shouldn’t have eaten those dumplings at the night market, but she did and now she's reliving the same Friday over and over. On one of her Friday's she meets Cam, a brewery owner, and she starts seeing him in multiple places on her Fridays. Sounds good - except he doesn't remember her each time they meet. She also meets Avery and they develop a friendship that I enjoyed just as much as the one she was developing with Cam. Good girlfriends are never not better than boyfriends. :)
The author made us love Noelle as she broke out of her shell, figured out how to get out of the time loop, and get the guy, the best friend, and find her true self.
Thank you to Jackie Lau, NetGalley, and the publisher for this ARC in consideration of an honest reivew. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this book and it made me think about how I am currently living my life. If I was stuck in a time loop would I take risks to change my ways? I think is a book everyone one should read. With theme of self-reflection with a dash of romance, this is a book for all!

I thought this was a great take on the time loop concept. There have been definitely times where I've wished that I could do something over, so I liked seeing that play out with Noelle. Her character had a lot of depth, and in her journey to stop the time loop, she learns a lot from each (repeating) day with her job, family, friends, and her relationship with Cam. This was also a dual POV, and it was interesting to see how time was moving differently for Cam vs Noelle as we see Cam's chapters interspersed with Noelle's. I thought Cam and Noelle were perfect for each other, even when Cam didn't really remember them meeting (but subconsciously remembering), and I really liked the connection at the end that kind of tied everything up. I liked Avery's character, and I really felt bad for her (living a time loop while on your period?? yikes). Avery and Noelle's friendship was one of the best parts about the book, and it was nice that they could lean on each other for support as they lived the same day over and over again.

Thanks to Jackie Lau and Atria for sending me this ARC! I was really excited for this book because the storyline is really intriguing and I’ve read and enjoyed other books with a similar theme. Unfortunately up until the 60% mark the book was extremely repetitive and very boring as a result. I enjoyed the latter part but not enough to make up for it.

Thank you to Atria and NetGalley for the advance reader copy of Time Loops & Meet Cutes by Jackie Lau.
After eating dumplings at a night market, Noelle wakes up repeating June 20th over and over again. Anything that happens each day completely resets when she wakes up each Friday morning. All she has to go off of in figuring out the time loop is the “thing she needed most”. As she re-lives this Friday, she meets Avery who is also experiencing the same thing as her. Together these two form a friendship as they try to figure out how to break the loop. Noelle also starts to get to know brewery owner, Cam, who she gets to know more and more as the day repeats.
I absolutely love our main character, Noelle. I cannot wait to hear the audiobook of this one!. I loved the addition of Noelle meeting Avery and their developing friendship was a lovely part of the story. I love time travel/loop stories and I thought this was a really creative take on the trope. One of my favorite parts of this book was when the second part switches to a dual POV! It's romantic, heartwarming, and has great character development.
If you love a time travel/loop romance, highly recommend checking this one out!

When I read the premise of this book. I knew I needed to read it right away. Once I started I was unable to stop. I was so annoyed when I had to sleep. But I started it right away in the morning. I loved it. Time loops are one of my favorite tropes. I love the magicalness of them. The writing is fantastic and hooked me right away. Poor Avery and dealing with that for the whole time loop.

I’m in uncharted territory when it comes to messed up timeline stuff so I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this. It was pleasantly interesting and I found myself really enjoying the read. Noelle is super relatable and I just really enjoyed this fun take.
