Just reading the book makes me want to pack my bags for Nantucket! So many good suggestions and ideas of places to check out. After reading this book, I immediately bought a copy for my son and his girlfriend who are spending the summer working on Nantucket. While a trip there is not in my future, I'm looking forward to living vicariously through their explorations with this book. So far they have sampled (and loved) Island Kitchen's ice cream.

The first version of this book appeared at the end of the author's book THE HOTEL NANTUCKET. Now the author has revised and updated the information, added excerpts from her books, and made it a stand-alone book for anyone visiting Nantucket. I have never visited Nantucket, but I enjoyed reading the book, learning about many spots on the island. The author groups items by purpose - lodging, food, beach, activities, etc. Her love of the island really shows. The book makes a great gift for anyone visiting the island. I lived on Nantucket in 2018 and I wished I had this book before I washed ashore the first time. It’s a hearty collection of the best, most mundane and over the top recommendations from a crescent shaped island thirty miles out to sea.
