Thank you NetGalley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and Nisha J. Tuli for the early access copy of Not Safe for Work.
Not Safe for Work follows the story of Trishara, an engineer who has been dealing with nepotism and white male privilege in the workplace. After watching her hard-earned promotion go to her nemesis Rafe, the bosses son, Tris realizes that she is burnt out and ready for a change. That is until she is offered the opportunity to go on a corporate leadership retreat in Hawaii that may revive her currently stagnant role. The only downside is that Raffe is going to be there too. Tris planned to ignore and avoid Rafe through the entire experience. But, when she arrived in Maui, a booking error has landed both Rafe and Tris in the honeymoon suite.
Not Safe for Work is an enemies-to-lovers, co-workers, there's only one bed romance. The tension Nisha J. Tuli creates with her characters is unreal, and easy to get wrapped up in.

From the first chapter, the chemistry between Tris and Rafe sizzles. And not in a cute way—in a tension-so-thick-you-need-a-machete way. Every glance is loaded, every snarky remark flirts with danger (and desire), and every proximity-induced moment? It’s hot. Rafe doesn’t just pine—he simmers. He’s all protective, intense glances and aching restraint, and yes, it’s as addictive as it sounds.

I thought this author couldn’t get any better than her fantasy world building, but this rom com was explosive, addicting, and so so so good. I loved it from start to finish and adored all the little details in between. Tris was a cute character who has been through a lot but is still making the best of things, and Rafe is the tortured pretty boy drowning under his family expectations. match made in heaven really. would 100% recommend this book!

Nisha J Tuli’s contemporary debut did NOT disappoint. Some authors excel only in writing a particular genre, but NJT has proved with NSFW that she can write about strong and resilient women and ultra-fine dashing love interests in any setting, no matter if they’re battling magical evils or modern corporate ones. Trishara “Tris” is the romcom heroine I wish I saw when I was younger. She’s smart, sassy, and unapologetically herself, and how she overcame her struggles both internally and professionally tugged at my heartstrings. And as for the swoon-worthy love interest, I wouldn’t have written him any other way. I love a man that stops at nothing to swoop in and save the day. What I love more? A woman that saves the day as her man gives her uninhibited support, is in her corner, and has her back, EVEN DURING THE ENEMIES IN THE ENEMIES TO LOVERS PHASE. Nisha J. Tuli is a well-needed and well-deserved voice in the literature world and NSFW only further proved that to be the case.

Thank you to Forever for an early review copy.
Nisha J. Tuli makes the transition from romantasy to contemporary romance in "Not Safe for Work". This book follows work rivals, Trish and Rafe, as they are sent to a work conference in Hawaii. This was my first time reading Tuli's works and I enjoyed the relationship and the mutual pinning between Trish and Rafe.

The plot and setting had a ton of potential to be such a fun summer read but it unfortunately fell flat for me. The dialogue felt stilted and the characters felt underdeveloped. Although it wasn’t for me, I hope it finds its audience and it will be released just in time to be a beach read.

A quick and enjoyable read! I loved that the author didn’t shy away from the very real challenges faced by the fmc in a white male dominated workplace. Lots of tropes: enemies to lovers / forbidden romance / only one bed. Sooooo much yearning — I ultimately struggled with how hot and cold Rafe was and the immaturity shown by Tris in eavesdropping on phone conversations. All in all was rooting for both characters the whole time and loved the ending!!!
Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for an eArc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley, Nisha J Tuli, and Forever publishing for the opportunity to read as an ARC.
ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR if you haven’t.
Oh this one is a good one!! A Hawaiian work conference romance with a rival?? This one is going to definitely be one that HITS when it arrives on shelves in May for an early summer romance. really enjoyed reading Not Safe For Work. It’s a laugh out loud spicy, steamy romance story in a STEM corporate, workplace setting.
Trishara Malik our FMC, IS senior engineer at an environment corporate company in Chicago and she meets Rafe Gallagher our MMC who is the tall, dark, hot, handsome bosses son and also her team lead AND her rival in the office. Tempers flair and sparks fly when they’re on a leadership workplace retreat together in Maui, Hawaii and end up sharing a hotel suite together.
The chemistry between Tris and Rafe is steamy and sizzling hot. A one bed, secret moments in an open event space, the list goes on and on. There was even a “Crawl for me moment” with your heels on. Still thinking about it. The spice level for this would be a solid 2.5 to 3 🌶️. As the spice was a sweet level of heat. It was spicy and hot that lasted.!
This book is a corporate workplace POC romance story and pure escapism and I’m dreaming of the beaches and sunshine in Maui, Hawaii.
This is my first from Nisha J Tuli, and I can’t wait to read her backlist.

Not Safe For Work by Nisha J. Tuli is a bold and unflinching exploration of modern relationships, intimacy, and self-discovery. The protagonist navigates the complex intersection of personal and professional life, with Tuli’s sharp writing diving into themes like consent, power dynamics, and sexuality. While the explicit content may not be for everyone, it’s a refreshing and timely read for those interested in candid, thought-provoking narratives. The book challenges conventions and offers an authentic portrayal of modern relationships, making it an empowering choice for readers open to taboo subjects.

Sexy and funny. If you’re craving summer vacay vibes to help pull you out of the looooong winter—NSFW is a cute option. There’s an Artefacts of Ouranos easter egg, too (which, if you haven't read Trial of the Sun Queen yet, go do that right now)!
I really enjoyed this read. Tris is super bitter (understandably), harboring a lot of resentment toward Rafe, but that makes for fun banter and situational humor.
NSFW gives you forced proximity, only one bed, a possessive and obsessive MMC (and honestly, FMC too), plus some larger themes of pursuing passions and family problems sprinkled in. Spicy scenes are hot—just wish they were slightly longer!
These quotes are swoon:
“You are bold and confident and have this way with people that makes them feel important, and I think someone must have told you that your art wasn’t special because how could you think it was anything but extraordinary?””
“I love the way you charge through life as though you don’t give a shit what anyone thinks.”
“What I meant was it’s hard to believe you’re an introvert because you shine in every room you enter.”

This is my first read from Nisha J Tuli. Shocking, I know! Enemies to lovers is my least favorite trope, but Nisha did this one in a way that was totally believable. Her writing style was funny, quippy, and made me LOL several times. Overall, this read was super fun and 3/5 spicy.

5 stars!
I love this book so much! Nisha writes a fun and flirty romance that also dives deep into serious topics with such ease. This book was such a quick read because I was INVESTED! I really liked how much of a badass Trish was and when she felt she deserved more she asked for it, which we see her do more and more as the book goes on! It was so refreshing seeing a women in a field dominated by men advocating for themselves.
As for Trish and Rafe they hooked me from the start!! I mean rivals in the workplace is such a winning trope for me. Yet, we quickly see how much Rafe respects Trish and knows how strong she is at her job. So reading this book we see Trish slowly start figuring that out herself and it was such a good time. We have competition, banter, comfort, and HOT moments of course!
Also, the vacation setting was awesome to read about and really made for some fun team building exercises!
5 stars, 10/10 I really would recommend this book to my best friend, a co worker, or even a stranger, Just read it.
Thank you Forever publishing and Netgalley for this eARC!

Trishara Malik is determined to prove herself at a corporate retreat in Hawaii, but her plans are derailed when she’s forced to share a honeymoon suite with her workplace rival, Rafe Gallagher. As they compete for a coveted executive training spot, Tris starts to see a different side of Rafe—one that challenges everything she believed about him. With her career and heart on the line, she must decide if he’s truly her enemy or something much more.
I really wanted to love this one, but it fell flat for me. It leaned too heavily on tropes—the broody hero, the one-bed situation—without bringing anything fresh. Since we only get the FMC’s POV, the MMC’s thoughts and feelings remain a mystery, making it harder to connect with their dynamic.
That said, I have to give major credit to the cover designer and illustrator—the artwork is absolutely stunning! It immediately catches the eye and makes you want to dive into the story. A beautifully designed cover like this definitely adds to the book’s appeal!

Nisha Tuli is a phenomenal writer. I can say that after only reading one of her books that all the rest of them, even if they are more on the fantasy side are going to be top-tier for me. Not only is Not Safe For Work a RomCom. It is a book about what women have to deal with in the workplace. But not only that what a woman of color has to deal with in the workplace. From harassment, being propositioned, to be considered just a secretary even when at a leadership retreat. Nisha has you falling in love with her characters and highlighting the things that women struggle with every day on a daily basis.
This book is a rivals workplace (retreat) romance that take place in Hawaii. It’s funny, it’ll make you think…. And there’s spice that is just right. I loved her diverse cast of characters and their growth. And I really can’t wait to read my next completed series from her backlog! I already know I’m going to be a Nisha stan and a one click buyer from now on!!

this was entertaining but a bit too immature for me personally 😭 between them going into their thirties, being in a work setting/work trip, and lack of actual development (both relationship and personally but i’ll get to that in a sec) i won’t really be thinking about this again. i would recommend for a QUICK read because i finished this in about two solid sittings.
honestly i feel like we never got to know our fmc. she had things that she was hiding from us the reader that never fully get explored? to their potential? which i found odd and it was so so very romance focused that i wanted more of them as individuals tbh. he had more depth/development outside of their relationship!!

Not Safe For Work by Nisha J Tuli. Thank you to @readforeverpub for sending me the ARC.

I really enjoyed reading Not Safe For Work. It’s a laugh out loud spicy, steamy romance story in a STEM corporate, workplace setting.
Trishara Malik is a senior engineer at an environment corporate company in Chicago and she meets Rafe Gallagher who is the tall, dark, hot, handsome bosses son and also her team lead.
Rafe is her competition and arch nemesis enemy in the office and sparks fly when they’re on a leadership workplace retreat together in Maui, Hawaii and end up sharing a hotel suite together.
The characters are adorable and the friendships will make you smile and the chemistry between Tris and Rafe is steamy and sizzling hot.
This book is a corporate workplace POC romance story and pure escapism and I’m dreaming of the beaches and sunshine in Maui, Hawaii.
As a POC woman in STEM I approve💯❤️

This was my first book by the author and sadly I didn’t enjoy it as much. The first 20% of the book I thought Trishara was a little childish. I did enjoy the banter between Tris and Rafe !! And the mouth on Rafe SO HOT… I do wish this book was dual POV and could’ve seen Rafe’s thoughts.

Nisha Tuli has been on my list since I read her Artefacts of Ouranos series. I really like her writing style and looked forward to her contemporary work. Not Safe for Work touches on women in male dominated fields. The characters cover a wide range of races and lifestyles as well as personalities. Tuli’s portrayal of women in STEM fields is very eye-opening and emphasizes the need for equality in the workplace and fair treatment of women.
The story is about a woman named Trishara (Tris) who is under-appreciated in her current role in the company and Rafe, a boss’s son. The two are chosen to go on a retreat for their company. Tris and Rafe have been competitors in the workplace and Tris has kept him at arms length due to past workplace trauma. Once they get to Hawaii they are forced to room together and each discovers that they harbor misconceptions about one another.
This story was a quick read, with some delightful banter and interesting side characters. As a reader I would have liked to have seen more depth to both Tris and Rafe’s characters but that is a personal preference. As with her other works Tuli has a writing style that I enjoy. I would recommend this for people who like contemporary romance, one-bed tropes, workplace romance and chick lit. Thank you Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this ARC.

This book had a choke hold on me and I loved every minute of it. Tris and Rafe, the perfect enemies to lovers, the falling first, the one bed, it was literally everything I needed. I hope Nisha continues to dabble in the rom com aspect because I'd drop everything to just read what she wrote.

I had a fantastic time with Not Safe for Work. I was planning on reading this next month but ended up picking this up on a whim yesterday afternoon andddd then finished it yesterday afternoon lol. This was an easy read in the best way - bingeable, relatable (sometimes unfortunately), and full of tension that keeps you hooked.
Nisha found a great balance of career and romance which can be a tricky thing! I work in a very male dominated field as well and some of Nisha's points really hit home. Strides have been made but there is still a long way to go and I really appreciated that our FMC held her ground and stood up for herself and others.
After reading this author's fantasy books I had a strong feeling that I would really appreciate her writing in a romcom setting and was really not disappointed. Ultimately I really enjoyed this and would highly recommend picking this up for the warm weather season when it releases in May (or anytime of course, but I love reading with the season lol).
❀ Workplace Rivals to Lovers
❀ BIPOC women in STEM
❀ Hawaii Setting (Workplace related)
❀ Tons of yearning - lots of angst
❀ Forced Proximity
❀ Forearms for days (Nisha I feel you girl, I also love forearms)
❀ Vulnerable moments
I never like to give away much in an arc review but I loved so many moments in this book and I will definitely be annotating the heck out of my copy in May!! Thank you so much to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the e-arc! As always, all opinions are my own. :)
