This is my first book from her and even though I didn't really care for this specific book, I still want to read her other work.
I can handle some miscommunication but I feel like it was literally the whole book. They can't stand each other because they both assumed one didn't like the other which is so trivial when you think about it. Tris can't make up her mind on if she wants to give Rafe a chance, and then goes out on a date with some douche named Andy. Rafe can't stand that she's giving this guy the time of day and goes all caveman on him every time Tris and Andy are together.
feel like this book had a lot of potential and then it just kinda fell flat. The pacing for NSFW was all over the place, we didn't really get answers for why the MC's acted the way that they did, and it's like we didn't get backstories for any of them.

This was fun! Workplace romance but on vacation (it was a work trip, but it was set in Hawaii, so....vacation!). I loved the insight of women - and women of color - in male dominated fields but also how nepo babies rule business.
While I enjoyed this story and felt compelled to read, I don't think a lot of new ground was covered with this book. Some depth was missing and the overall character arcs didn't feel that fulfilling by the end.
I was definitely rooting for Tris, but the real spark always felt a little flat between her and the MC.

I was so looking forward to a new type of book from Nisha Tuli since I was a huge fan of the Artefacts of Ouranos series recently. This was described as a workplace rivalry to romcom featuring a woman in STEM who fights against racism and the patriarchy. I was ready for it!!
Trishara and Rafe have the most hilarious rivalry. And there’s a fine line between love and hate. These two constantly jump over that line and back throughout this story.
I really appreciated the author’s note about how this reflected a lot of her workplace experiences and it added another level of depth to Trishara’s struggles in her field of work.
Read this! If you love strong women in STEM and/or of color - Trishara’s your girl! And Rafe and his forearms are a bonus too!

Calling all corporate baddies, this one’s for us!!
Similar to STEM, as a woman in tech, I too am afflicted with the with the plight of MWM (mediocre white man). Tris spoke directly to my jaded corporate soul in my favorite language: sarcasm and calling out BS.
This was my first Nisha book and her first contemporary romance, and it did not disappoint!

I am a huge fan of Nisha J. Tuli’s series Artefacts of Ouranos and I was so excited to read this contemporary romance book! I am still getting into contemporary romance as a genre, and while I enjoyed this book it did not grab my attention as much as I wanted it to. I started enjoying the book a lot more in the second half of the book and immensely enjoyed the banter between Tris and Rafe! Nisha captures the equal parts awkward and agonizing aspects of a corporate seminar - and turned this setting into a cute rom com. Tris (our FMC) is confident, witty, and just the right dash of petty that makes my heart happy and I wish I had her ability to call people out. Rafe (the MMC) I struggled to have any sort of feelings towards whatsoever. In truth, I only really started liking Rafe when we find out about his love for baking because who doesn’t love desserts? All in all super cute, fun, easy read - especially if you are going to Hawaii or the beach! Thank you so much to NetGalley and Forever for allowing me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book! These thoughts, feelings, and opinions are mine and mine alone - so thank you for letting me share them with you! I am looking forward not only to May 20th when I can grab a copy of this book - but also to what Nisha J. Tuli will write next!

✨Thank you to NetGalley and Nisha’s team for this ARC ✨
First off - the diversity and representation was so refreshing to read! The story touches on the difficulty of breaking the glass ceiling as a woman working in a male dominated industry. I also loved reading about characters that look like me and my friends. It is so RARE to read about these things in a book, but Nisha did a phenomenal job!
Also very important to note - the TENSION was delicious. Slowburn at its finest. I kept mentally pushing Tris and Rafe together in my head to finally kiss lol
Will be recommending this book to everyone I know 🩷

Before we kick this review off I have to give a big Thank you NetGalley & Forever for allowing me to read this ARC. This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2025. And it meant the world to me to get my hands on this book. Not Safe for Work will be published on May 20th (remember this date I’ll be reminding you about it later)
Now without further ado my review:
So full disclaimer I had big expectations going into this book. I’m an avid fan of Nisha J Tuli Artefacts of Ouranos series so the hype was real for me. I knew she could execute Romantasy I was over the moon excited to see her tackle contemporary romance. After finishing it I have to say I was a tad bit disappointed. Now before y’all come at me with pitchforks. No, I did not hate the book. And Yes, I will still be recommending the book. However, coming from her Romantasy series where the romance was one of the best I’ve ever read to this I found it to be a little lack luster.
Rafe our MMC in particular, I found him to be the bane of most of my issues. I say this because Trisha, our MFC is seriously such a strong complex lead and to match her with someone in my opinion that doesn’t “have enough balls” to be a good match for her. The entire book I wanted to smack him especially since he repeatedly kept putting his foot in his mouth. In the end, he does redeem himself however I wish the resolution wasn’t resolved with 5% left in the book I wish we could’ve fleshed that out a bit. Cause in my opinion he got off way easy and he deserved to grovel more.
Alright enough about Rafe. I wanna rave about Tris. I cannot stress how much I love her as a MFC. She’s truly an inspiring, diverse and relatable FMC. I loved watching her stand up for herself, her peers and her career. The journey she went through is one we regrettably see regularly for women in the business world. I think Nisha executed everything beautifully. And for Tris journey alone you should read this book.
Overall, like I mentioned I do recommend this book. I devoured this in less than 24hrs and I think it’s perfect for anyone looking for a great summer read. So please pick this book up May 20th on its release date.

Nisha knocked this romcom out of the park. I loved all of her Romantasy books so I was so excited to read this one. I absolutely loved reading this book. Tris and Rafe had me cackling and their chemistry was off the charts. The spice was excellent as always and I could legit picture myself in the story, the descriptive imagery was great. I was actually at a work retreat in Hawaii last year and this is like so dead on to the nonsense they make you do there. It was hilarious to relive that on page. I hope Nisha writes some more romcoms in the future because I will read every single one.

Nisha J Tuli has done a fantastic job in moving from romantasy to romcom! This story was short and sweet but it pulled me in instantly and I wish there was more. I loved these characters and the way she delves into sexism and racism. Overall a really fun read.

Wow! I've been feeling burned out on love stories lately, but this one restored my love for love stories. I consumed NSFW and loved every minute of it. I'll definitely buy a copy when available ♥️

Oh this was so good -I didn't expect Tuli to write a contemporary romance that kept me hooked! I loved Rafe and Trishara's banter and hate to eventual lovers pipeline we went through. The chemistry was fantastic and the romance was sizzling hot while also being realistic in a work setting. No cringe moments here and I lived for it.

thank you to Forever Pub for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This book was SO FUN. Exactly what I needed. Yes, it is trope heavy. Yes, he is perfect. Yes, she is a baddie. And I absolutely recommend this one to all my fellow STEM girlies <3
If you like...
- rivals to lovers
- one bed
- forced proximity
- yearning
- forearms
...then you will LOVE this one!

This was my first book by this author and I have a love/hate relationship with it. I enjoyed the storyline but some parts felt conflicting. First, being forced to share a hotel room (for 3 weeks!) with a work colleague is not realistic. HR would (and should) never allow that to occur under any circumstance. But okay, for the sake of the plot….. Second, the FMC loathed her male colleagues for behavior to she actively accepted from the MMC, because she had a thing for him I suppose?
Other than those two factors, I really did enjoy this book. The writing and dialogue was great.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the digital ARC. All opinions are my own.

I loved Tuli’s fantasy series, Tale of the Sun Queen, and got excited to see that she was branching out with a contemporary romance! It was so fun to come along for the journey with Tris and Rafe as they embarked on an enemies-to-lovers work trip! I loved how the story was real and spoke to regular life for somen in male dominated fields but yet was light and fun when it needed to be. Definitely a fun and exciting beach read that is perfect for this summer!
Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

The perfect beach read!
If you enjoy a workplace romance, are a fan of Ali Hazelwood, or simply love a supportive male lead, you will LOVE Nisha’s intro into contemporary romance/romcom! She’s been dominating it the Romantasy scene and I’ve loved all of her work and this was no exception!
I love a strong woman in a male-dominated career field, I love competition, and I love a hot, artsy man! Ugh! I will be thinking about Rafe for the foreseeable future. He’s everything! But honestly, so is Trishara!! She’s a boss! Her self advocacy and refusal to be a door mat! She’s an inspiration!
While this was a relatively quick read for me, I enjoyed every single second of it!
Thank you to Forever & NetGalley for an eARC! I hope everyone loves Not Safe For Work as much as I did!

I loved Rafe and Tris’ story. The slow burn, enemies to lovers was done so well. There was just the right amount of tension between them that when they finally got together, it made it so satisfying! I always love Women in STEM, and loved how strong Tris was, while also still showing a vulnerable side. The obstacles she faced in the workplace are real and I appreciate how Tuli sheds light on the inequality, especially in that field. This was the perfect amount of spice, and left me with all the happy feels!

These two are workplace enemies, but the banter in this one is everything. I really enjoyed it and the characters were funny. Thank you to Netgalley for the arc.

I am such a fan of Nisha’s romantasy series “The Artefacts of Ouranos” and I was so excited when I got the email that I was sent an eARC for her first ever contemporary romance. And let me tell you, she did not disappoint!
This is a workplace romance where rivals become lovers (basically the equivalent to enemies to lovers 🤭). We have Trishara, our badass fmc in STEM, and Rafe, our mmc that has more to him than meets the eye, and they both get picked to go on a work retreat to Hawaii. Things take an unexpected turn when a mix up with the reservation has them sharing a hotel room with one bed.
This had everything you would want from a romcom! The story touched upon heavy topics such as racism and the struggles women in STEM positions built for men go through. I loved that the author also included things that actually happened to her in the workplace in the story, it made it feel even more authentic.
Thank you to Nisha J. Tuli and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this eARC

This book was absolutely PERFECT. I haven’t read anything by Nisha J. Tuli before and I know this her first contemporary romance!! It was SO GOOD! I love rivals to lovers SO MUCH. The tension?? The banter?? How SURE Tris was that she did NOT like Rafe!!! And all of the things about how hard women work and are so under appreciated in male dominated work places. I really loved seeing how Rafe WAS on her side, and looking out for her! And I loved that she was also sticking up for herself! Watching out for herself!! Trying to keep people accountable! I loved it all so much!
And listen! Rafe and Tris WERE SO HOT! The slow burn was absolutely DELICIOUS! The shared room?? The one bed?? The fact that they didn’t really get along?! But now with the forced proximity, they got to see another side of each other!! She got to see him SMILING AT HER FOR REAL! They just needed a little push to finally fave each other!! I think he even said it though, they needed the time to get to where they were, that this was the right time for them!!
I also really loved the ending!! It was SO CUTE!!! And I loved seeing both Rafe and Tris get to do the things they ACTUALLY loved!
I have to be in the mood for a romantasy, but Nisha is FOR SURE going on my list to read one day!
Thank you so much Forever for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!!

I have heard great things about Nisha's romantasy series and when I seen she was writing a contemporary romance I was excited to read it! This is my first book from her and even though I didn't really care for this specific book, I still want to read her other work.
Okay, where do I begin?
I really enjoyed the tropical setting of NSFW, and two of the side characters -- Lan and Gabrielle. The cover also caught my eye and is GOREGOUS, chefs kiss for Tris in that dress.
In the beginning I thought I liked Trishara and Rafe's dynamic because they're coworkers who can't stand each other and end up falling for each other -- sign me up! Don't even get me started on the fact that Rafe's ex girlfriend Hannah keeps calling him the whole time they're on this work trip, and instead of him putting her in her place he proceeds to lead Tris and Hannah on at the same time basically. We literally get no explanation of WHY HE KEEPS ANSWERING HER CALLS, and then HR just helps Hannah get a flight to surprise him???? Tris gives him an ultimatum, three days goes by, and then he just shows up at her house and everything is fine and dandy? Rafe kept giving me whiplash, and maybe it would've been better if he had his own POV so we could understand what was going on in his head.
I understand that there are bipoc women in STEM and even in other male dominated workplaces that experience the type of misogyny and workplace harassment that Trishara has to deal with in this book, BUT I feel like it took over the romance plot. Towards the end of the book I was straight up not having a great time and I was so frustrated. I feel like this book had a lot of potential and then it just kinda fell flat. The pacing for NSFW was all over the place, we didn't really get answers for why the MC's acted the way that they did, and it's like we didn't get backstories for any of them. I know it's fiction but it didn't feel realistic. I have more thoughts and maybe I'll update this review with them after I take some time to decompress.
Anyways, while this book wasn't for me, it might be for you!
These are some of the tropes in NSFW:
- enemies to lovers
- one bed
- workplace romance
- slow burn
