This had it all! Rivals to lovers, work place romance only one bed!!!
Trish has had her ups and downs being woman of color in STEM so when she is chosen with her nemesis Rafe to attend a 3 week retreat she is taking full advantage.
When Trish and Rafe arrive in paradise for the work event they are not amused to find they are sharing an amazing suite...with only one bed.
They learn over the coming weeks what expectations are made for them and what they want to do in life and love. These two had such chemistry...of the charts 🔥 ❤

Thank you to Forever Pub & NetGalley for my e-arc!
This was like a book version of the cheesy, work setting romance movies that I eat up, a good palette cleanser!
Two rival coworkers that end up having to room together on a work retreat = the one bed forced proximity everyone loves

I really ate this book up
It was a slow burn but the build up was so good!!
I love the storyline
The MFC was so amazing and I love how she boss up!
This was a cute frenemies to lovers troupe.
Thank you for this arc! I absolutely loved this book! So freaking cute!

I just couldn't make it through this. I didn't connect with the writing or characters. After, I tried another of Nisha's books and didn't like it so maybe she's not the author for me.

This book was such a good romcom! Lots of popular tropes from one bed to enemies to lovers workplace forbidden romance! This will definitely be a fun and entertaining read for many.
There was so much entertainment with the TRUE rivalry from the MMC and FMC you could truly see the enemies to lovers rather than a quick resolve small angst of an enemy.
I did get a bit tired of reading about his smile every few pages but overall it was a addicting read that I couldn’t put down!

It’s rare for me to give out five stars. It’s even more rare for me to feel like a book deserves so many stars it breaks the scale. Meet the rarity. My god, I loved this book. It was everything. Perfect from start to finish. No notes. I am fully obsessed. Nisha Tuli put the BURN in slow burn for this one. Hot damn! And really brought back yearning. Why don’t people in books yearn anymore? I’m truly blown away by how much I loved this book. The story itself was fantastic. It was funny, it was spicy, and it was so damn real. Her ability to handle real, difficult topics is on par with Abby Jimenez. Trishara (gorgeous name) embodies the struggle of every woman, especially every woman of color, who operates in male dominated fields. Her story hit so close to home for me and just made me love her ferocity and her badassery even more. And Rafe. Rafe! Obsessed. He is THE book boyfriend! It’s honestly amazing how much depth of character was developed in such a short span of time. For both he and Tris. The two of them together is incredible and I love them so much. I also loved the supporting characters. Every powerful girlie needs her girl gang and Tris’ was the best of the best. The end was deeply satisfying and absolutely lovely. Infinity stars. More please!

This was a fun listen and I am glad I got to listen to the audio which I highly recommend. It is a workplace romance with enemies to lovers vibe where they end up going to a work retreat in Maui and there is only one room and one bed! (for romance reasons of course).
In NSFW we have Trishara who has been working really hard at her current company but keeps getting over looked for her male colleagues who are not nearly as qualified and we have Rafe who is like a sort of work rival and the son of one of the director! Somehow Trish and Rafe end up going to this work retreat in Maui and end up in the same suite and have Trish has to confront that Rafe might not be who she thought he was and the more they interact, the more chemistry there is between these two! The main reason this book isn't five stars for me is that some parts felt a little repetitive, like she kept mentioning his smile and forearms on almost every chapter. like we get it, he is hot!
Thanks to netgalley for the ARC, opinions are my own.

We all know that Nisha can write an incredible Romantasy novel, and I’m gonna be obsessed every time. Not Safe For Work is her first contemporary romance, and I absolutely loved it!! I ate this up in one day—I could not put it down!
Tris is so relatable. I work in a male dominated space, and the amount of garbage women have to put up with feels never ending. I admire her standing up for herself 💖 I absolutely loved her growth and confidence throughout this book!
Rafe 😩 I love him. Their relationship reminds me that our assumptions about people can hold us back from friendships/relationships that we never gave a chance. I couldn’t get enough of him and his smirks.
I loved loved loved this book!! If you’re looking for a slow burn rom com with the ✨best✨ tension, this is perfect!

Not Safe for Work follows Trishara, an engineer at WMC, as she is sent in Hawaii for a training program with her workplace enemy Rafe. Will this close proximity make them finally see eye-to-eye?
RUN TO THE BOOKSTORES AND BUY THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!
I am in love. This book was everything I was yearning for in a romance novel. I was hooked from the very first page and I didn’t want to stop reading.
You will fall in love with both our main characters as they find each other insufferable and impossibly hot. Their relationship grows so naturally and realistically that I was screaming when they were only brushing each other. The tension these two had was palpable. I never, for even one second, wasn’t rooting for them. The conflicts felt realistic and not annoying at all and the wait made their reunion so worth it. Despite the title, our couple doesn’t sleep together until the 60-70% mark which I am SO glad for.
I was swooning for Rafe the entire time. THE MOUTH THIS MAN HAS!!! Their chemistry was unparalleled and their banter was just incredible. He comforts her during a storm??? He massages her neck when she has a headache?? Just everything these two were doing had me obsessed.
The pace was one of my favorite things. It had been so long since I read a romance novel that had such a good even pace all the way to the end and it made me so much more attached to the characters. It made me care about their relationship!!! I will not forget about these two any time soon.
Also, as someone living with chronic headaches, reading about it and seeing Rafe taking care of her and massaging her neck when she suffered from one made me connect even more with the story and characters (and also made me fall in love with Rafe even more).
Overall, if you want a feel-good rivals to lovers workplace romance with forced proximity and the one bed trope, this book is for you! I highly recommend it <3

Not Safe for Work by Nisha J. Tuli is a fun, fiery workplace romance packed with tension, banter, and just the right amount of heart. Trish, a brilliant but overlooked engineer, is furious when her rival Rafe (aka the boss’s son) gets the promotion she deserves. Things get even more awkward when they’re forced to share a honeymoon suite on a work retreat in Hawaii.
It’s steamy, smart, and layered with real talk about being a woman of color in a male-dominated field. This book is a perfect mix of slow-burn romance and sharp social insight. Tris is a relatable, no-nonsense heroine who’s tired of being underestimated, while Rafe is a surprisingly sweet golden retriever type hiding behind his “corporate prince” exterior. Their banter is electric, and the chemistry? Off the charts.

the ex girlfriend drama, the third act conflict, the miscommunication, the one bed trope (which is a total HR violation btw). there were just too many strikes for me in this book. I also was looking for a fun summer romance and excited about the Hawaii setting, but the island was barely a part of the story and certainly not vividly described, as the characters were engaged in conference activities near the entire book. I also think this story would have been better told through dual pov.

This was so much fun and it was great to see Nisha Tuli's storytelling translated into a contemporary setting. Flirty, sexy, and a romp.

This was my first book by Nisha so I wasn't sure what to expect but I adored the characters, the story, the writing, and the SETTING.
Rivals to lovers, forced proximity, and only one bed immediately had me hooked. Not to mention the slow burn, tension, and the CHEMISTRY once it hit.
Tris was a strong character and Rafe matched her well. I loved seeing Tris push back against the many issues put in her way.
Overall, a cute story and great characters.

Not Safe For Work is a fun, hot, workplace rivals to lovers story with forced proximity & only one bed. It follows Trishana & Rafe, two coworkers assigned to go on a retreat together for their company. We follow them as their forced to face the budding tension that's been growing between them for years.
I really enjoyed this one!!! It was addictive, easy to read, and I was invested in seeing how Tris & Rafe's story would develop! These two characters are well written, layered, and highly enjoyable. I loved getting to peel back the layers of their characters, get to know them, and witness their dynamic. Tris's commentary on sexism in the workplace, issues with diversity & inclusion in the workplace, was so important and I loved that aspect of the story!!!
Rafe & Tris's relationship is filled with witty banter, chemistry, and admiration. I loved getting to see these two break down each other's walls & trust each other. Their romance is slow burn, but the tension that's consistently building throughout the story had me blushing!!! The open communication, vulnerability, and comfort between these two!!! I love!!!! The end made my heart hurt, it was so sweet!!!
This is my first book from Nisha J. Tuli, but it certainly won't be my last!

Phew. This is the SLOWEST of slow burns that will have you melting until the main characters figure themselves out and fall into their “just one bed”. Let me tell you though-it’s so worth sweating it out! The writing is witty, thoughtful and engaging and will make you root for both main characters. There is some super insightful commentary in the plot as well, and you will want to kick your feet and giggle when the ice gets broken between Tris and Rafe. Even if a bit predictable, that is what is so endearing about the book-you know where it’s going, you trust you’ll get there, and you’ll enjoy the ride while you wait. I am so looking forward to picking up Tuli’s Artifacts of Ouranos series soon! Thank you to Forever pub for the ARC.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Smart, Spicy, and Full of Heart
Not Safe For Work is a fun, fiery enemies-to-lovers romance set in a Hawaiian paradise. Tris is a total bad@$$—ambitious, sharp, and unafraid to challenge the system that keeps pushing her down. I loved how she stood her ground.
Rafe, the boss’s son and her longtime rival, brings the heat and surprising depth. Their banter? 🔥🔥 Absolutely electric. Forced to share a honeymoon suite while competing for a career-changing opportunity, their chemistry is undeniable.
Overall, this was a steamy, empowering read with great character growth. A solid win for workplace romance fans!

I absolutely love Nisha's fantasy books and couldn't wait to dive into this one.

I absolutely loved the banter between Trish and Rafe. Trish is quick witted and fiesty. She is not afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right. And Rafe, who knew he was going to have such a dirty mouth 🥵 I love how Trish pushed him to grow and finally go after the things he wanted.
I definitely loved this one from start to end. That angsty build up just sucked me on in.

You aren’t cute, Tris, you’re utterly, f-ing beautiful.”
Not Safe for Work is an adult contemporary STEM romance standalone by the amazing Nisha J. Tuli, who is well known for her fantasy romance series Artefacts of Ouranos. Written in first person POV we follow disillusioned engineer Trishara Malik who used to dream of excelling at her company only to find rampant sexism, nepotism, and racism have continuously kept her back. This leads her to be completely blindsided when she is selected for her company's corporate leadership recruit which happens to be in Hawaii for THREE weeks. The catch being her rival and the son of her boss, Rafe, has also been selected and Tris wants nothing to do with his gorgeous antagonistic self...but then she finds herself sharing a suite with him at the hotel (with one bed) and the tension rises quickly. Yet as they vie against each other through various tasks and competitions one thing becomes clear - the longer Tris is around Rafe the more sides she sees to him and these sides are melting her heart. With her future at stake, can she trust him or will she once again find that the only person she relies on is herself?
Gah I love Nisha and her debut into a different genre was adorable and resonates so hard with all women in the workforce.
Tris is a strong woman who knows when to take a stand. I loved her determination and willingness to fight for what she believes in. As both a woman of colour and a woman in STEM she shows us a window into a workforce that is stifling and in desperate need of change. I like seeing her not let things slide even while others around her are resigned to it. She is the woman we NEED.
Rafe starts off a little cold and antagonistic but dang did he melt like butter as the story progressed (fun intended if you know). I liked seeing a new side to the typical workplace male we see in romances who is vulnerable and that the FMC can understand. He does have a few hang ups that we slowly unravel the reason why but it does create tension). When this man shows his true feelings I was SUCKED in.
“There’s nothing unmissable about you…there isn’t anywhere you could go where everyone wouldn’t notice you.”
In terms of spice I would place this novel at 3 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. This is a slower burn with spice not occurring until the second half of the book but when the spice hits it HITS. There are multiple spicy moments that show how passionate these two are for each other and they have great fun teasing each other in public...and having spice in risky places. There was intimacy between them after they broke the seal and I LOVED it.
The story itself focuses on Tris (and Rafe and co) working through the various aptitude and team building exercises with hopes of being selected for a coveted executive program at the end of the retreat. There was a good balance of navigating this corporate world that is filled with issues while also giving moments for character connection. There is tension brought in by Rafe's old girlfriend and a fellow male engineer who takes a big interest in Tris. In contrast we have the delightful Lan and Gabrielle to help alleviate the tension brought on by the patriarchal world Tris is fighting to stand in. I felt this book did such a good job sharing the struggles women experience in STEM fields and also bringing attention to people dealing with migraines. The ending was traditional for contemporary romance which is comforting but the final two chapters delivered sweetness I ate up!
Overall, if you want STEM contemporary romance that equally challenges the male dominated sphere and is also giving you a beautiful romance then you need this!
Thank you Forever Reads for this arc!

Did I binge read this in one night and by night I mean when I couldn’t sleep then proceeded to read this at lightening speed because I couldn’t put it down?! Why yes. The book was first recommended to by by Tina! When I was approved for the arc I was SO THRILLED! as someone who came from the corporate world this book felt extra special. Finding your way in corporate spaces as a woman in a male dominated space where you are more qualified that those that get promoted? BEEN THERE. the romance was soft and sweet I adored how we slowly started to understand rafe through her point of view! He had SO many LAYERS, we love a soft love coded man!!!

“I said that wrong. What I meant was it’s hard to believe you’re an introvert because you shine in every room you enter.”

"“I’m not obsessed with Rafe.”
I’m totally obsessed with Rafe, but not in the way Molly is implying. No, my obsession was forged in the hellfires of acrimony. My obsession is purely professional, and I operate on the premise of keeping an eye on your enemies."
I work for a massive, international nonprofit and yet we still don’t get retreats to tropical islands for leadership training lmao
But the organization is also mostly women so this male-centred, egocentric, stuck-up-filled, sausage fest wouldn’t be something I’d want to attend anyway lmao I do not have it in me to have patience with sexism, not anymore, so Tris had more patience that I would have.
She was grace. She was poise. She was fed up in the end
But the end??
*perfection*
I always say: I burn bridges because I can SWIM
“Fuck,” he murmurs into my skin. “You taste as good as I imagined.”
I guess I did talk about the end first but I’ll also talk about how much I adored our main characters together! I love a good workplace rivals to lovers and Rafe was *starts sweating* very attractive
I have so much love for books that feature a little getaway like this and this had lots of little things I loved and the humour was top notch
Thank you so much to Forever Publishing and the author for this ARC!
“This is hardly office appropriate.”
I mean, that was the entire point of this dress. I just never imagined I’d be wearing it with Rafe.
His eyes darken. “You’re right.” He leans down, speaking directly into my ear. “I’d rather it was balled up on the floor with my face between your thighs.”
