Absolutely loved this one I totally read it in 24 hours (would have been less if I didn’t need sleep) the first thing to mention is that I felt seen by Tris’ character as a STEM girly. Yes, everything on that book happens in the real world it’s just not visible to everyone. The pass in promotions, the male-female ratio, etc. the setting was very real to me.

The idea of having a work in retreat in Hawaii would be a dream and I totally liked that both Tris and Rafe were going. Their rivalry had chemistry since the very start, I was so intrigued with them from the beginning. The banter was amazing and even Tris’ thoughts were amusing. The real surprise to me was the hidden side of Rafe. His drawing and his actual passions, seeing how slowly he opens up to Tris gave him a whole new side I liked better for him.

This was an amazing February read, I will totally recommend to my friends who love romance books. All the tropes, the spice and the banter was there and I liked how it wasn’t dragged out, it was the perfect amount of words. Loved the ending and can we get a bonus chapter from Rafe’s POV? I would love that too.

I’m so excited to have had the chance at an early read of this book! I DEVOURED it in less than 24 hrs! Loved the banter, and the whole enemies to lovers is always one of my faves. I can’t wait to add a physical copy to my collection. Such an enjoyable read.

I LOVED Nisha J. Tuli's first contemporary romance! I'm a huge fan of the Artefacts of Ouranos series and the Nightfire Quartet.

Not only does this romance have amazing banter, tension and spice, but it also explores a ton of important + tough themes that many women and marginalized groups unfortunately experience in the workplace.

I have no notes... I enjoyed every bit of it and I hope that Nisha continues to write contemporary.

Thank you to Forever Publishing for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Story: 5⭐
Spice: 2🌶 (This is a slooooowwww burn and so angsty.)

Hands down easy, 5 Stars. It was such an amazing read. It kept me glued to the pages.

Tris is intelligent, beautiful, funny, and sarcastic and works "in a man's world" of engineers. She hates their misogynistic way and wants the company to get with the time.

Rafe is the boss's son, charming, handsome, charismatic, but plays games with Tris. But don't let him fool you. He has a side you would never expect.

After receiving unexpected news in front of the entire staff about being selected to go on a retreat for her company. The duo gets forced into proximity for the duration of the retreat/training. It's all downhill from here folks, the tension and angst, banter, and finally some spice.

ohhhh... and the ending! The big *F-U* I freaking loved it.

It's definitely a must read!

I have read most of this authors books and damn does she love a good slow burn!! I’m honestly here for it, she always makes the wait worth it. I flew through this book! It was very fun, had extremely likable characters and the storyline was enjoyable. I loved how she made sexism in the workplace such a prevalent theme in this and how ridiculous it is. The MFC and MMC were easy to root for and I quite liked their dynamic. I did feel like their slide into actually enjoying each others time was a little odd though. They were so ruthless to each other in the day and when night hit they were suddenly so vulnerable, it didn’t seem plausible. BUT I still really loved the book!!

Not Safe for Work is Nisha Tuli’s contemporary debut. I know and love her for her fantasy romance books. She did not disappoint with her shift to writing a contemporary romance either.

I think what I enjoyed most about this book is that while you get the fluffy romcom vibes, you also get a really meaningful story. The FMC in the book deals with sexism and racism in the workplace. Nisha bases this writing on real life experience.

Rafe and Tris have such great tension and we get to watch them go from office rivals to something more.

The writing is packed full of Nisha Tuli’s usual sharp wit and this story is the perfect escape.

Thank you to Forever Pub for the e- arc. All opinions are my own.

So beyond happy to have gotten an ARC of this book! I’m such a huge fan of Nisha, so getting the chance to read her first contemporary romance novel is such an honor. This was such a fun, easy romcom to binge! It’s as if The Unhoneymooners and The Hating Game collided and added more spice. This is further proof of why she’s one of my auto-buy authors!

As someone whose favorite author is Nisha I am BEYOND OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK!

Writing the most amazing fantasy books AND an amazing workplace romance. She can do it all. 😗

This book had the amazing slow burn that Nisha does so well & some amazing romantic moments. NSFW also didn’t shy away from how hard it is to be a woman in a male dominated field (felt as a 24 year old engineer lol). Trishara and Rafe stole my heart and I’m already begging for another contemporary romance.

Also the rule of the aurora king reference AHH IYKYK

Thank you to netgalley for the ARC :)

This book is Nisha J Tuli's first foray into contemporary romance and it does not disappoint! I love how relatable the FMC is when dealing with her toxic work environment (which, by the way, is described completely spot on). Plus, amid a sea of mediocre men, Nisha somehow manages to write a swoon-worthy MMC. With lots of banter!

Yes I devoured this book in 1 day and recommend all romcom lovers to pick this up.

Thanks to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book!

ARC Review- I have been waiting for this one! I am the biggest fan of Nisha’s Artefacts of Ouranos series and could not wait to read her introduction to contemplating romance. As usual, she did not disappoint! This book is a love letter to girl power and demanding the respect that you deserve.

There is tension, there is romance, there are beautiful female friendships, and of course (the brilliant Nisha J Tuli knows her readers so very well) an accidental one bed only trope. And can we talk about that email at the end! Mic dropped. Thunderous applause. Gold star sticker worthy. I threw my kindle in the air with pride for our FMC. Fantastic. Nisha, your debut contemporary novel is a huge success in my very humble opinion. I beg you to keep them coming along with your romantasies!

Now to go and see if I can convince my husband to bake me lemon tarts like a certain pastry chef we know.

Thank you to Nisha J Tuli, NetGalley, and Forever Publishing for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Loved loved that the main character is reading another of Nisha Tuli’s books throughout (I think and hope!!)! Fun and fast read, the tropical setting and challenges are fun and the whole thing was delightful.

Nisha has become an auto buy author for me. I had a baby the day before I got my earc, and I finished this book in two days.

I loved the nod to one of her other series. I loved that the mmc is a cinnamon roll (pun intended). I loved that this book made me angry with the misogyny and racism bullshit the FMC has to go through. I love that our FMC still stands up for herself and knows her worth even though everyone else around her is trying to dull her shine.

If you love:
Workplace romance
Forced proximity
Only one bed
Rivals to lovers
Strong FMCs
Macaroons

Then this book is for you.

I LOVED this book. It brought everything from Nisha's fantasy series that I loved and put it into the romance drama. The tension, the slow burn, the banter back and forth. The pace of the book was really good. I think it was a nice balance between sitting in scenes that were powerful and meaningful while also keeping a fast pace that kept the readers interest.

I really connected with Tris from the beginning of this book as a fellow woman in a male dominated industry. Nisha captured the emotions, feelings, and situations wonderfully on the page.

I also loved the subtle mention of Lor during the beginning of the book when Tris is talking about her book. Nice little easter egg :)

The Hating Game walked so Not Safe for Work could soar!

This rivals-to-lovers pining-fest has something for everyone: banter, sticking it to the man via corporate blackmail and revelations of nefarious doings, pining, he falls first, chronic illness rep (migraines), FOREARMS REVEALED, only one bed, forced proximity, family drama, "i'm not jealous, you're jealous," secret alter egos, natural disasters (minor), emotional disasters (major, and all major characters), FEELINGSSSSSSSSSSS, and sex scenes so hot my e-reader overheated...

If you liked Nisha J. Tuli's Artefacts of Ouranos series, you'll LOVE her contemporary debut.

This was so stinking cute. Now I really want my own workplace nemesis where we use competition to hide our thinly veiled lust towards each other. A cinnamon role with a heart of gold with daddy issues and impeccable forearms. A Nepo baby with dreams and skills of his own and just wants to tell his dad “it’s your dream I’m giving up, not mine”. But I digress that isn’t the point.

The point is that that this was a super enjoyable read with characters that had depth and growth and were funny and relatable. I enjoyed the tension and slow burn between the two main characters and even when they were driving me BANANAS it only made me that much more obsessed.

I’m in love with Rafe and he is my book HUSBAND forever more please and thank you!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the advanced copy, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was exactly the book I needed, I haven't read a 'real world' love story in over a year so, and only have ever read Nisha's other fantasy books. So this was fun, super cute, and relatable. It calls out corporate America and it's nonsense, but also gives us a cute/spicy love story with Nisha's signature writing vibe...except no one has magic lol

Good Vibes About this Book

-It’s painfully relatable – If you’ve ever worked in an office, especially as a woman, you’ll feel seen. Some of the dialogue had me shaking my head because I’ve literally been in those situations before.

-It’s hilarious – Corporate nonsense is frustrating in real life, but the comparisons to real-world corporate America had me cracking up. "The khakis"😂

-There’s a sneaky Easter egg! – If you’re a fan of her fantasy books, you’ll love that Tris happens to be reading one of those books. I won’t spoil which one, but I thought it was a fun little nod to her other books.

-The romance feels real – No unnecessary drama, and Tris and Rafe really are cute together.

Thank you NetGalley and Nisha for the ARC of this book. It was wonderful. I literally couldn't put it down.

I really like the way she writes her characters, the realism to the struggles is just so engaging.
Tris is smart, confident, strong, witty and everything you could want in a fmc. She deserves more than the company she works for.
Rafe is smooth, engaging and we do also see vulnerable side to him.
I could see from the very beginning the way they were constantly in each other's orbits without even realizing it.
I loved it. I loved the way they both had to let down their barriers to be truly vulnerable.
The banter between them was also top notch.

It was truly a pleasure to get a chance at an early read of this book. Not Safe for Work had me smiling, getting angry, crying, and laughing. Knowing what it’s like to work in male dominated businesses, I felt for Trishara. Though she kept her head up high and knew her worth, it was still frustrating to see what jobs passed her by because of the good old boys club. The banter between her and her villain co-worker, Rafe was wonderfully written. I love banter and I love a good slow burn even more. This story gifted those beautifully. I’m so happy that @nishajtwrites has dipped her toes into the Romcom world and I am so looking forward to more of these reads in the future. Just brilliantly executed! NSFW hits the shelves on May 20th. Book Overview: Engineer Trishara Malik once dreamed of being the first woman of color to smash the glass ceiling at WMC Purcell, but after years of dealing with white male privilege and blatant nepotism, she watches her hard-earned promotion go to her nemesis, Rafe Gallagher—the boss’s son. Teetering on the edge of burnout, Tris is stunned when she’s picked to attend WMC’s corporate leadership retreat in Hawaii. It’s a chance to revive her stalled career and compete for a coveted spot in an executive training program—plus, three weeks in paradise! The only downside? Rafe is her co-attendee.

Tris plans to avoid Rafe entirely, but when she arrives in Maui, a booking error has them stuck sharing the honeymoon suite. Sure, it’s not all torture. Rafe is a smoldering ten—okay fine, an eleven—but after years of competition, they can barely stand being in the same time zone. As they vie against each other during aptitude tests and team-building exercises, Tris begins to realize Rafe might not be the villain after all. With her dreams at stake, can she learn to trust the man who might have been standing in her corner all along? @readforeverpub #readforeverpub @netgalley #netgalley #arcreview #bookreview #book #books #booklover #bookworms #booknerd #bookaddict

I’ll read anything Nisha J Tuli writes! This was a great work place romance between rivals with forced proximity, amazing chemistry, and so much tension. It was well written and well paced. I appreciated the accurate portrayal of women in the corporate world. I hope Nisha continues to write contemporary romance along with her fantasy books.
