I'm a fan of Nisha J. Tuli's romantasy series, so I was excited to see a contemporary romance coming out and it did not disappoint! The dynamic between the two main characters was done so well and the push and pull in their relationship was fun to read. This workplace enemies to lovers introduced a lot of deeper topics, as well, including the effects of racism and lack of workplace diversity. I hope Tuli writes another contemporary romance because she's become one of my new favorites to watch!

Really loved the descriptive writing in this book! I could imagine everything so easily and it made the book feel so immersive. Tris is a baddie who knows how to stand up for herself, and is so strong and brave. I admire her so much and how she does what’s right, not easy. Rafe is a softie hiding in an intimidating body and I would have loveddd getting his pov. Their banter was so fun & had me giggling and kicking my feet. Their tension at the resort was so good. I will say it felt a tad rushed at the end but overall I really enjoyed this book. Will definitely be reading more of Nisha’s books!

“Rafe, why did you draw me?” I whisper. The silence drags on so long that I don’t think he’ll answer, but then he says, “Because I draw things that are beautiful to me.”
I binged this sexy workplace rom-com in 24 hours and can confirm it is the perfect beach read! Add it to your summer TBRs immediately!
Tris is a smart and sassy FMC. She’s been chronically overlooked by management and you can’t help but root for her to take down the patriarchy in her own way. In the author’s note at the beginning of the book Tuli writes about how while this book is fiction the misogynistic and racist things that occur in the book also happened to her.
The chemistry between Tris and Rafe is so so spicy. This one is a slow burn and the tension is immaculate. There’s a forced proximity/one bed situation and I absolutely ate it up!
Check this one out for:

I adored this story!! Trishara is a force to be reckoned with. Super smart and driven. She works hard and wants to make a difference in the world. She cares about the environment and has amazing ideas. But it's super challenging when so many barriers to achieving greatness. Passed over for promotions, moved onto different teams, slowly chipped away her drive and her passion. Along comes an opportunity to show the top brass at WMC Purcell what she's made of: an all expense paid trip to Hawaii to compete for a spot in the executive training program.
Nothing is standing in her way, except the one person that gets under her skin and that she has tried to stay away from since starting at WMC: Rafe.
Rafe is everything Trishara isn’t sure she wants—charming, infuriatingly competent, and always one step ahead. Their rivalry crackles with tension, and the tropical setting only turns up the heat. As the competition intensifies, so does their chemistry, forcing Trishara to confront not just her ambitions, but her heart as well.
What I loved most about this book was how real Trishara felt. Her struggles with workplace politics, her passion for making a difference, and her vulnerability all rang true. The author does a fantastic job weaving together themes of ambition, romance, and self-discovery. The Hawaiian backdrop adds a lush, vibrant energy to the story, making it impossible to put down.
If you love stories about strong women finding their voice, overcoming obstacles, and maybe falling in love along the way, this book is for you. Trishara’s journey is inspiring, funny, and heartfelt—I couldn’t recommend it more!

I really appreciated Tris and headstrong attack of the gender inequalities in STEM as presented throughout the book. She’s not only strong, outspoken, and intelligent, she’s done putting up with the tolerated misogyny in her company. Her character is well developed and sassy. Rafe felt almost like a supporting role in comparison at times, rather than the MMC. Prodigal son of the CEO, he’s trying to buck the system without destroying things for his mom, but we’re well into the book before we get much beyond his surface. The tension between the two is spicy from the start and makes for some very fun moments. Lived the new approach for just one bed! Overall a good read, but I’d have loved more development for Rafe earlier in the book.

I. Am. Obsessed.
I DEVOURED this book. The slow burn tension between Tris and Rafe was immaculate🤌🏻 And the workplace environment for women of color in STEM was written incredibly well. I was ready to march into Tris’s boss’s office and give him a piece of my mind.
I can’t believe this was Nisha’s debut contemporary! It felt like she’s been writing in this genre for years! I’ve been reading her fantasy books since she first started publishing and they’re all amazing but I always get a little nervous when an author switches genres. She did an incredible job though and now I’m dying to get my hands on more of her contemporary books❤️

Oh this is slow burn romance at it's absolute best! Trishara is absolutely going THROUGH it at her engineering job. She is undervalued and the constant victim of micro aggressions. Yet somehow, she ends up nominated to spend 3 weeks at a leadership retreat in Hawaii with a chance to really accelerate her career. The catch? She has to do it alongside her work enemy/work crush, nepo-baby Rafe. But the more time Trish and Rafe spend together (including sharing a hotel room with only one bed) the more she realizes that he's not who she thought he was and he's thought the world of her all along. I am an absolutely gonner for a romance where he's been into her for ages but kept his distance for...reasons, and this book also scratches that itch. I highly reccomend this read!

4.5 stars! It's been a long time since I've read a workplace romance and wow have I been missing out! Now don't get me started on this cover omg it fits the setting and vibes so so well
I absolutely fell in love in love with Tris and her confidence and passion in STEM. Her and Rafe had so much tension and I think the rivals to lovers worked so well with them and this workplace retreat setting. Following her as she comes to terms with her position in a male dominated field and company made me feels so much frustration for her. The discussions of sexism and general nepotism in the coproate world was done very well while still having a great blend of romance and comedy.
Their relationship didnt happen too fast but you could feel the tension and yearning from the very beginning. I do wish we had dual pov so we could get more into Rafe's head at times, Tris had some repetitive observations and thoughts and it really made we want to take a break from her view.
Overall it was a fun, spicy yet sometimes insightful rom-com that you can easily binge read and will hold your attention well!

Oh this book was everything I wanted it to be AND more! It was SO good. The chemistry between the 2 characters. I also just absolutely love Nisha’s writing. Loved it! Can’t wait for the next

okay fine ✋🏻 I’m glad I tired again to read this because I ended up really liking it, BUT I did find the beginning really hard to get into mostly because the characters felt wildly immature at times.
I also managed to get over the use of A LOT of description (his eyes were like an autumn day with streaks of warm honey glaze (this is a dramatic retelling but you get it)). But I loved them. I love each of them. I loved them together. Also, 10/10 tropes. 👏🏻
The battles that Trish and other women faced in this book and face every day was so real, and it felt so empowering to watch Trish take that power back for her own happiness in the end, even if it cost her a job, she was able to pursue a place that wanted and valued her.
I stand by that this book is if Ali Hazelwood, the Hating Game, and the Unhoneymooners had a baby.

A delicious slow burn with top tier sexual tension!
If you love ‘the Hating Game’ and ‘The un-honeymooners’ you have got to pick up NSFW by Nisha J Tuli!
We have office rivalry, forced proximity, searing intensity, and layered characters going through their own turmoil.
I found Trish difficult to get on with times, but fully understand that she is a work driven woman in a male centric world who has slowly had her will and fire crushed out of her. It was great to see her slowly find herself again and learn to put her trust in people and her work again! And Rafe is just a cinnamon roll that has been unfairly judged by a very defensive Trish and rose to her expectations. I was routing for him the whole time 💪 and would have loved to have some of these chapters from his POV and with his insight.

Ugh, yes!!! This gave me everything I wanted and more for my first jump into contemporary romance.
I’m basing this 100% on vibes! I had an amazing time reading this. The banter, the emotion and the SPICE!!! 100% top tier. Nisha does it again!

Thank you, Forever for the eARC and to Netgalley for facilitating the request.
"To the person I was and the one I became. It's never too late if you want it enough."
Tropes:
- Workplace romance
- Hate to love
- It was always you
- Competitiveness
- Only one bed
- Forced proximity
What I Liked:
- This was just such a fun and fast read. The characters were fun; I loved the out-of-town conference setting and the forced proximity that came with it. Trishara and Rafe were fun, and I was happy to see them live out their lives as they wanted without the expectations of anyone else.
What I Didn't Like:
- This was just reaaally juvenile at times. And I'm not saying that to mean that 30-year-olds can't have fun, but it does get a little grating when the characters are that immature. However, they did grow up some throughout the book, and I was happy to see that development.
Final Thoughts:
- This was fun, I had a good time with it and will check out more of Nisha J. Tuli's contemporary work if she continues publishing in this genre!

An tropical romance, that makes you in vacation hell yes. With some romcoms vibes and enemies to lovers tropes.
This was an wonderful romance. Thank you for the gifted copy.

This was cute. I didn’t love it as much as I thought I was going to. I might be a bit burnt out on enemies to lovers haha which is a me issue, so I’m sure other readers will love this book.
I did wish it was dual POV.
Thank you to the publisher for an ALC and an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
3.25 stars

This was SUCH A FUN read! I love everything Nisha J Tuli and this did not disappoint. I love how light and fun it was mixed with great commentary on deep important topics. As a woman with an educational background in STEM, I always enjoy reading stories of women in workplaces and the struggle that can exist. I feel like this book really nailed that storyline while also offering change and growth to those issues.
Nisha will always be an auto-read author for me! This was perfect!

I loved every second of this. Usually, when I read a book, I can tell how much I’ll enjoy it based on the first 50 pages, but it didn’t even take that long for me to know I would love this book. I’ve been wanting to read this for months, so going into it, I definitely had a lot of expectations, and it didn’t disappoint.
Right from the start, I thought the writing was really charming. The tone was perfect for a summer romance, and I felt it matched our MC Trishara’s voice really well. And I loved Tris so much. She has become one of my most favorite MCs ever. She’s smart, ambitious, competent, and fun. For me, a South Asian woman hoping to go into a STEM field, Tris is such an inspiring character. She represents all the crap people like us have to go through, but also shows that how we’re treated isn’t who we are.
I also loved Rafe as the love interest. He was super sweet and charming. The romance was, of course, super steamy. There’s so much tension, and every scene with them together was a treat.
I’m so happy this book not only met, but also exceeded all my expectations. I will now be reading Nisha J Tuli’s entire backlist 😋

This gets all the stars!!! I ate this up in one day. Rival engineers, workplace retreat, one bed. Sign me up!! Tris an engineer near burnout, constantly having to fight against the misogyny in a male dominated workplace is stuck sharing a room on a workplace retreat with her rival. What could go wrong……

Nisha J. Tuli had me as a fan for life when the bitch stole the soap (iykyk). But Rafe and Trishara (Tris) might have my whole heart. In Not Safe for Work, Nisha takes on white male privilege, nepotism and more. I had such a fun time reading this book. I especially loved the friendships that Tris forms when she goes to Hawaii on the corporate retreat. It was nice to see her have a small group of people around her who were supportive.
I laughed quite a few times, covered my eyes once or twice from the BS Tris deals with and overall, kicked my feet with delight. Truly a fun ride from start to finish and when you can make white male privilege fun? You've got a fan for life.
Thank you to Forever for the early copy!

Nisha J Tuli has done it again as the queen of slow burn but this time in the contemporary format instead of fantasy. NSFW is a great read that really highlights the struggles that women, especially women of color, go through in male dominated fields of work. I ate up every part of this book and could not put it down and recommend it to anyone who wants a good summer read. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book.
