What a fun workplace romance!

This first contemporary romance by one of my favourite fantasy romance writers is such fun and engaging and sexy read. I flew through this book and I cannot wait for everyone else to read this summery romance!

The author made me laugh with her comment at the beginning of the book of loving a slow, agonising burn (she delivered) and the meta tongue-in-cheek reference to the book Trish was reading was delightful.

I loved Trishara and Rafe’s connection and banter and tension! Their relationship set against the background of what Trish had to deal with at the company was done nicely. The story of female engineers in a field dominated by men hit home with this girlie pop engineer and I was applauding at the end of the book.

YASSS to Trish getting *those* suitcases, to the only one bed (we love to see it), to Rafe seeing and remembering her favourite dessert flavours, and to him following his heart.

The lack of professional outfits worked for the story and I guess for the location, but shorts and cleavage and bathing suits around your colleagues and managers?! It is a no from me.

But Rafe being a great book boyfriend made me overlook questionable clothing choices ;)

4.5 stars rounded up.

Thank you to Nisha and to Dana at Forever for the invite to read this ARC so early!

I received an ARC of this book (thanks!) and these are my own opinions.

I couldn't get enough of this book. I stayed up late to finish it because I didn't want to leave Rafe and Tris hanging- which I am so glad that I didn't. I absolutely loved this book.

Tris was so relatable on so many levels. I love her inner strength and her attitude at the end! What a way to say goodbye to people who don't value you. Standing ovation.

I loved Rafe's mystery and oh man, their banter was on fire. His forearms. :melting:

I highly recommend this book! It was spicy, some easter eggs from Nisha's other books. Which I squeeled. Love love love.

Thank you netgalley for an early copy! I loved it sooooooo much!
