So much human behavior can be explained by two motives: we want to be right, and we want to feel good about ourselves. But the tension between these two motives makes us especially vulnerable to bias—and bias distorts our view of the world and of ourselves and can keep us from doing even what we know is right. This is important book to talk about overcoming bias from Christian perspective.

All of us have biases, and we tend to find it easier to see biases in others than in ourselves. This book delves into the fascinating world of how the brain works, including why biases form and how to deal with them.
The book is written specifically for a Christian audience, and the preaching can get in the way of the content, in my opinion. If you are Christian and enjoy frequent references to scripture, this is the perfect book for you!
