I thoroughly enjoyed this return to Fallen Crest and the audio actors (Tor Thom, C.J. Bloom, Ruby Allan) did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. You definitely need to have read the previous books in the series to understand all the dynamics at play here though. Do not try and pick it up without having read the previous books! I haven't read all of Tijan's books so there are some crossover aspects that were new to me here but I absolutely enjoyed the links to Brett Broudou and the guys in Frisco.

The story itself was also gripping. I was shocked at times and laughing at others. The description of Dinosaur Sam had me in stitches... Plus Harold the tortoise! This was a very welcome return to the world and update on some favourite characters. The Kade family will always be a firm favourite and the opportunity to return to Sam and Mason as parents is not to be missed.

Dare I even hope that we get a spinoff series?!
I loved getting to revisit this world and these characters as parents. Fallen Crest is the book form of a CW show from my teen years. The nostalgia it brings me is a comfort.
Even though this had new events, for me it felt like a full length epilogue and I enjoyed every chapter.
Seeing Logan and Mason back in their element and taking over things while also splitting time as parents was fun to see.
I loved getting Maddy's POVs thrown in as well. I think Tijan has left herself with a strong opening for a spinoff if desired and if that happens I will gladly watch the chaos that Maddy causes and Max cleans up.
*edit just read the last bit in my paperback and Tijan did say we're getting 2nd gen series "Cain University series".

Kade is the last in the long-running Fallen Crest Series. The Kade brothers and their friends are finally returning home, but Fallen Crest is just as intense and drama-filled. Not only does the story focus on Mason, Logan, Samantha, and their friends, but the next generation as well.

I’ve loved every single book in this world, and I was delighted to see everything come together in the final book. Seeing many of my favorite characters as parents was everything I could have asked for and more! The second generation was just as intriguing as their parents. Catching up with past characters was so heartwarming, even if it was from more recent books like Frisco .

The audio was magnificent! I’ve listened to a majority of this series and Tijan’s other books, so I am already familiar with C.J. Bloom. Listening is honestly the best way to experience this series. The narrators perfectly capture everyone’s POV, especially Mason’s, whose POV seems to be the predominant figure. All three did an amazing job, and made the experience ten times better than if I just read the book.

It’s sad that the series is ending, but what an amazing way to conclude it. I hope the second generation gets their own series, especially Maddy and Max. I need to see their love story because it reminds me so much of the connection Sam and Mason had in the beginning.

A special thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Seeing this group all grown up and as parents had me all in my feels! They may be mature adults with families now but they are just as protective as ever and will do anything for their families!

We get a look at the next generation and I can only hope we get their stories because I know it’s going to be sooo good.

Okay, so I just finished Kade by Tijan, and OMG, you guys HAVE to read this book! Seriously, I was hooked from the first page. It's got that perfect mix of romance and suspense that I absolutely love. Think hot guys, family drama, and a plot that keeps you guessing the whole time.
The main characters? Totally obsessed. Their chemistry is off the charts, and you'll be rooting for them to get together from the start. Plus, the Kade family? Total goals. They're so loyal and protective of each other, it's heartwarming.
Tijan did an amazing job with this one. The story is full of twists and turns, so you're never quite sure what's going to happen next. I literally couldn't put it down! If you're looking for a book that's got it all – romance, suspense, and a whole lot of heart – then Kade is definitely for you. Trust me, you won't regret it!

I felt the audio was very all over the place and hard to follow with all the different characters and the plot jumping from one to another. at 60 something chapters this possibly could have been broken down into two novels which may have made it easier to follow

Mason, Sam and their family have returned to Fallen Crest however the surprises keep coming. Mason and his brother Logan unexpectedly find themselves leading Kade Enterprises after a revelation that no one saw coming. This send them on an investigation to find out who is behind it and why so that they can protect their families before it is too late.

Mason is as protective as ever when it comes to his family while Sam is feisty as she will do anything for those she cares about, and their love is stronger than ever. Through this story we were able to get some insight into their daughter Maddy and her relationship with Max which has us wanting to see how that will unfold in the future.

This story featured family, a few surprises and some suspense and it was a great opportunity to catch up with the other characters we know and love as well as meet some new ones who appear quite intriguing. The narrators gave us a deeper understanding when it comes to the actions of the characters and their performance was flawless.

This series is so special to me. I started reading it when I was 17-18, and I'm 24 now.

Unfortunately for the first half of the book I was kind of bored but the end really brought it back giving me the excitement I remember reading the first books in the series.

All in all I was so happy to see the stories of the Fallen Crest peeps continue!

Thank you @NetGalley and @Dreamscape_Media for the ARC. Kade is book 8 in the Fallen Crest Series. This book is full of shocking discoveries when Mason Kade's father dies and his family is still adjusting to life back in their childhood town. It also centers on Mason Kade's daughter Maddy who may or may not be a sweet psychopath. A fun read. I am a fan of this series.

Kade is the 9th book in the Fallen Crest series. This book is told from multiple points of view by Mason, Sam, and their daughter Maddy.

I would suggest reading this series in order, as we meet Mason and Sam in the previous books. Now, Mason, Sam, and their children are back in Fallen Crest.

We get to see how they are handling parenthood and dealing with their defiant daughter Maddy. There is stuff going on in Maddy’s life, as well as things going on in Mason and Sam’s life.

There were so many twists and turns and I loved every minute of it. I’m hoping we get to see what happens next with the younger generation.

Audiobook Review

Unfortunately I made the mistake of listening to this book before reading/listening the previous ones in the series. It just does not work. There’s too many characters to understand and keep track of, relationship (in)balances that are most likely only understood if the previous books have been read. The plot is difficult to follow without knowing where it stems from.
I feel like my score may not be a true validation to the quality of the book. I will read/listen to the previous books in the series and the other connected series to get a full understanding of the Fallen Crest world and give this book a true score and review at a later date.
It’s also difficult to review the narrators work when what they were narrating made no sense to me.

Well, I didn’t think Fallen Crest could get any better! But it did! This story is told in dual POV - Mason (yum yum), and his and Samantha’s daughter - Maddy, and I loved her! She may look like Samantha, but she’s definitely all Mason inside. All the gang it seems are back together for one last hoorah, with lots of additional cameos (including one of my most favourite Mafia bosses), in and amongst. From the very first chapter I was swept away to Fallen Crest and all the drama that ensues. After retiring from the NFL Mason and family are called to Fallen Crest to sort out a ‘ situation’, herein is the start of the story. Mason and Logan must find out who is trying to take over their company. Lots of action and a whole host of drama for ALL the family, and of course the little added plot twists that Tijan likes to throw into the mix. Narration from CJ Bloom (as Samantha), she’s awesome, Ruby Allan was perfect as Kade (Maddy/Maddie).
Although this can definitely be read as a standalone, the most enjoyment and understanding will be had if you’ve read the previous Fallen Crest books. I received a complementary copy of this audiobook from the publisher via NetGalley.

This is the first book of this series that I have read and after reading this book quickly discovered that it was a mistake. You cannot read this book without the previous books in the series. The books are interconnected making it hard to follow what is going on in this book without reading the other books of this series. There are a lot of characters to keep track of along with a lot of story lines to follow making it confusing and not a pleasant or enjoyable read.

Audio review Narrated by: Narrated by Tor Thom; C.J. Bloom; Ruby Allan For those who love the Fallen Crest world, this is a must read. We get All our favorite characters and intros to new ones. The family is back at it with all the shenanigans. The emotional angst along with laughter takes on a fast paced ride that only the Kades and maneuver. The story starts fast and never lets up. Twists and surprises come fast and furious. We thought Mason had shed his dark side. It was just laying dormant until needed. When his family was threatened the dark Mason came back with full force. He is not alone, the usual suspects show up as needed. This story wraps up old school guys and introduces us to the next generation. They will definitely give us the same energy. Mason and Sam’s daughter is the key. I can’t exit to read what’s next.

I'm going to preface my review by telling you that this is my first time reading Tijan so I have not read the first 8 books in this series.

I had a hard time getting into this story. There was a lot in this book that confused me and I felt that there were a lot of story lines happening and I didn't quite understand why they were happening or if it even related to something from one of the previous books in the series. Overall, even though I did make it though to the end of the book, I was disappointed because I see that so many people really like this author.

Mason and his brother Logan, witness their dad taking his own life. Mason spends the rest of the book trying to determine who was behind his dad's death. Along the way, he meets a Canadian mob boss, a nefarious MC biker gang, and other characters of ill repute. He's a recently retired NFL player, and yet he seamlessly fit right into every situation and confronts them all, and even manages to befriend the MC.

Mason and Samantha's youngest daughter is a psychic. I had hoped there would have been a bigger story arc around that. Their teenage daughter is a bully and in love with her best friend who's very much the opposite of her rule-breaking ways. I didn't see the attraction and yet it was there.

Maybe it's because I didn't read the first 8 books in this series, and I'm missing too much of the backstory for theses characters, so I am going to suggest that you do not treat this book as a standalone.

I listened to an audiobook of this book and I am already familiar with CJ Bloom and Tor Thom and I'm big fans of their work. They did not disappoint here. I am new to Ruby Allan. I thought all 3 voice actors did a great job with this story.

Thank you Tijan, Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for this ALC. The above is my own and personal opinion.

I have read this entire series and I really liked the series. This final installment, Kade, was good too. I just felt like I was fresh to the series. It's been a while. But other than that, this book was hot! Their chemistry was off the charts. But Maddy? I don't know about that girl.

Many thanks to Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for an audio ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Not me jumping into the last book of a series like I know what’s going on....oops.

That said, I was already familiar with a lot of the characters, and I couldn’t wait to see what they were up to and how everything wrapped up. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! This book is thick, and I savored every single chapter.

Told in multiple POVs, we get inside the heads of Sam, Mason, and Maddy, which I loved. Speaking of Maddy, I adore her so much that I need a spin-off ASAP. She’s chaotic, but she loves fiercely, and I ate up every scene she was in. Also, Logan?! His growth had me emotional. That first chapter alone nearly wrecked me. I was hooked. The mystery was intense, the shifting perspectives kept things fresh, and now I have to go back and read the rest of the series. The narrators, Tor Thom, C.J. Bloom, and Ruby Allan did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. I really enjoyed their tones and inflections throughout. The male narrator for Mason’s voice was spot on, some of the female voices were a bit high pitched, which had me giggling in a few scenes. But Mason’s voice? Perfection.
If you love touch her and d!e energy, fiercely protective parents, found family, and romance, this series is for you!

This was my first Tijan book in the Fallen Crest series, I didn't realize it was part of a series, so I feel like my review won't portray an accurate account of the book as I've yet to read any others in this series. Seeing as I was not familiar with any of the characters in the series it was a bit confusing at times. I will definitely give this another shot once I go back and read the rest of the books before this one. I've enjoyed other Tijan books and this one has the potential to be just as enjoyable as the rest! Other than not really knowing the characters, I did enjoy the story as a whole and thought the narrators did a great job! I would definitely recommend making sure you read the rest of the books before going into this one so you're not also confused!
