I found "The Jailhouse Lawyer" to be eye opening and a sad indictment of our criminal justice system. While Calvin Duncan's story ends on a happy note (his exoneration and later his graduation from law school), his life and time spent in prison was heartbreaking.

This is an incredible story about one man who is innocent but went to prison for murder. He doesn't waste time dwelling on his bad luck but spends his years learning the law and helping other inmates with their cases. He seems like a model inmate and shows there is hope for the future.
