I thoroughly enjoyed this and would love to get a hard copy when it's available. The content is incredibly informative and well-suited for individuals learning to cook, which is always a plus.

One minor suggestion I have is that the section on kitchen tools could benefit from mentioning meat thermometers. Additionally, I didn't notice any guidance on proper temperatures for finished cheese and meat, which is crucial for food safety and an important consideration for those learning to cook.

Despite these omissions, I'm excited to try out the recipes and appreciate the effort that went into creating this resource. Having a hard copy will definitely make it easier to use.

The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook has hundreds of recipes to replicate your restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this is not exactly a "cookbook" in my eyes. When I am looking to re-create meals, I am not trying to buy frozen or ready-made items to include (*cough* frozen breadsticks to recreate Olive Garden breadsticks). I'm looking to make recipes from scratch to have the most quality control over the ingredients and nutrients I'm feeding myself and my family. I was disappointed that most of these recipes included ready made items. There is nothing special listed in these recipes to give it a restaurant taste.

Take for example my teenage favorite of the Taco bell Crunchwrap Supreme. Can you really recreate this with basic ingredients like ground beef, salt, onion, cheese, etc? I don't think there is any comparison. It starts with the meat, which is not duplicated with simple ground beef and a generic spice packet. More importantly, how do I fold this tortilla properly? Although there are some pictures to illustrate the finished product, there is no step-by-step guide that really involves you in the cooking process. Each recipe has about 4 to 6 steps, which just seems absurd. There is about 1 generic picture to every 10 recipes listed.

Overall, Kelly Jagger's book feels generic and a google search into each individual recipe would probably yield better results. One of my favorite cookbooks that really involves you in the process is Joshua Weissman's An Unapologetic Cookbook, which I would recommend if you're looking to recreate foods that you would otherwise get in a restaurant or store. This book kind of reminded me of those videos of American moms making unappealing meals.

Thank you to NetGalley, Adams Media, and the author Kelly Jaggers for an ARC of The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook in exchange for an honest review!

This book is exactly what it claims to be. There are many many copycat recipes from chain restaurants. I would have enjoyed some healthier substitute options within the recipes.

If you're trying to eat at home more often but just CRAVE that one special thing from your favorite restaurant look no further!

The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook delivers exactly what it promises, great restaurant copycat recipes. My favorite thing about this book and the other Everything cookbooks is the balance between time saving recipe adjustments (starting with frozen waffle fries instead of trying to cut and cook your own) and keeping true to the restaurant recipe. I can't wait to have a dinner party and impress all my guest with restaurant favorites!

We really enjoyed this cookbook. Reading it made me very hungry, lol. Some of the recipes are a little unnecessary, like maybe how to make Subway sandwiches like tuna. We found the recipes very easy to follow and make.

Thank you to Adams Media and NetGalley for this e-ARC. This review is my own opinion.

I was initially concerned that the recipes in this book would be overly complicated in an attempt to recreate restaurant-quality dishes, but I think it may have swung too far in the other direction. Some recipes feel almost too simplified—for example, the Olive Garden breadstick “copycat” recipe is essentially store-bought breadsticks with butter and Parmesan cheese. That said, the book offers a wide range of recipes that should appeal to many home cooks, with an emphasis on accessibility and ease of execution. As someone who often struggles to decide what to make for dinner, I appreciated the variety and found plenty of inspiration. While I do wish some of the recipes were a bit more detailed or true to their restaurant counterparts, the book succeeds in providing quick and approachable meal ideas

Who doesn't love breadsticks? I know I do, more so if they are the Olive garden's bread sticks. The recipe in this book is not a copy cat recipe. The OG's bread sticks are vegan and do not contain butter or cheese.

Are you a fan of Outback’s Blooming Onion? Do you crave Aunt Annie’s pretzels? How about Olive Garden’s pasta e fagioli? They’re all in this fantastic cookbook. There’s something for everyone here. The recipes use common items you’d find at the grocery store, and they’re easy enough for even the most novice cook to create. There’s also a helpful guide to kitchen tools and how to stock your pantry so you can create your favorite take-out on faster than it would take to call for delivery.

Not only is the food delicious, but it’s a lot of fun recreating restaurant dishes at home. And it’s a lot more affordable too. I absolutely love, love, LOVE this book!

I received an advance copy of this book from Net Galley and am happy to leave this 5-star review.

A. Lot of fun recipes in this book. I plan to make a few. There were not enough recipes I liked to warrant purchasing this cookbook but I’m sure it will fit the bill for those who like these restaurants….

Have you ever been at a famous restaurant and thought “I could make that”. Well, now you can. Kelly Jaggers serves up 200 delicious copycat recipes in The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook. This is a cookbook you will definitely want to have! The recipes begin with Breakfast and Brunch and end with Desserts. Illustrated with gorgeous, mouth watering photographs, all directions are easy to follow. Chapter One is titled Creating the Restaurant Feeling at Home and lists ingredients and cooking tools to have on hand. These are basics and not hard to find. On to the recipes!

I’ve tried to pick out some of my favorites and, believe me, it was hard to narrow them down. Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls. As I read the recipe, I can smell them. The ingredients are surprisingly simple and the rolls take about twenty minutes to make - and less time to eat them.. There’s a recipe for Outback Steakhouse Bloomin’ Onion and one for TGI Friday’s Loaded Potato Skins. You’ll learn how to make Arby’s Classic Roast Beef Sandwiches, Cracker Barrel Corn Muffins and so much more.

The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook belongs on every cook’s recipe shelf. It’s fun, not too fancy, and provides familiar treats for your family. Enjoy! 5 stars.

The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook is filled with dupes of well known US restaurant foods.

The book is laid out in a clear order, with an excellent beginning section for stocking the pantry, the required utensils, and basic food prep techniques for those just starting out in their own kitchen.

The recipes themselves are laid out in a logical order: Breakfast, Appetisers, Soups, Sandwiches, Entrees (Mains) - Meat, Sseafood, Pasta - Sides, Desserts and Beverages, and there is a section on conversions to Metric at the very end.

Not being from the US, I can't vouch for the accuracy of the recipes, but they are laid out well, and easy to follow. While there are a LOT of recipes (over 200 pages of recipes), there are very few photos of the finished product. As someone unfamiliar with many of these dishes, I would have liked more visual prompts so I know what I am aiming for.

As this is a US cookbook, everything is in US measurements/scales, and there are references to local brands/products that are not found elsewhere, so conversions and substitutions (or a lot of googling for alternatives) is a must for those elsewhere around the world. There is also reference to items such as prepared pizza dough (for example) - but the assumption is there that this has been purchased or made by the reader.

Overall an interesting recipe book, and I'll give some of the interesting ones a try

~Many thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review~

This was a book filled with a lot of delicious copycat recipes it has a wide range of options from different restaurants and I was excited to see some of my favorite dishes. I also appreciated that it had some recipes that asked for premade things like pizza dough and recipes made completely from scratch. I only wished it had more photos of the food but it is otherwise a great book of recipes and I can’t wait to make some of my favorite copycats.

I was so excited to read this cookbook since it contained copycat recipes from popular restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory and Buffalo Wild Wings. All of the recipes featured in this cookbook sound absolutely delicious and it amazed me how well the author replicated the recipes for so many different dishes, My favorites were the recipes from The Cheesecake Factory and IHOP, places I love eating at. I think a lot of people will enjoy this cookbook because it gives them the ability to recreate their favorite restaurant dishes at home. The ingredients for almost all of the dishes are simple and easy to attain. I will definitely keep this cookbook on hand so I can try out all of my favorite recipes from this cookbook!

The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook is cookbook that has copycat recipes from well know restaurants. The book begins with an extensive introduction with tips and tricks. The recipes are organized by course, and are well laid out. Each recipe has an interesting introduction and some have a quick fact. The recipes are easy to understand and most are good for beginners as well as more advanced cooks. There is a good variety of restaurants features. My only complaint would be that it would have been nice to have a few more photos of the food. Otherwise, I thought this was a good cookbook.

The Everything Restaurant Copycat Recipes Cookbook by Kelly Jaggers is a cookbook and recipe collection with 200 famous restaurant copycat dishes to recreate at home. Due out 18th March 2025 from Simon & Schuster on their Adams Media imprint, it's 272 pages and will be available in paperback and ebook formats. According to the publishing info, some of the content is compiled from earlier Adams "Everything" series publications.

The layout is logical and easy to follow. The introduction covers the basic tools, supplies, appliances, and pantry lists. The following chapters include the recipes arranged roughly by category: breakfast & brunch, appetizers & snacks, soup & salad, sandwiches & burgers, beef chicken & pork, seafood & vegetarian, pasta & noodles, sides, desserts, and drinks.

Ingredient measurements are supplied in imperial (American) measurements only. There's a conversion chart for metric measures in the appendices. The nutritional information is not included. Extra tips or recipe alternatives are listed in sidebars with the recipes. The recipes themselves are fairly straightforward and are made with easily sourced ingredients. Many are very simple and should be well within the abilities of the average reader.

The photography is not abundant; most of the recipes are not illustrated, but the photographs which are included are clear and well done.

This is a huge collection of recipes and even allowing for the fact that some of them are very similar to others in the same category, this will keep fast food/restaurant lovers going for ages.

Four stars.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes

This was seriously an everything cookbook. The recipes were arranged by meal and occasion. I liked the useful boxes for the recipes; they made it really helpful, and the healthier substitutions at the end were a great touch.
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this ARC.

Recreating your favourite restaurant dishes at home sounds appealing, but unfortunately this book falls short of the mark.

There’s no shortage of recipes here, that’s not an issue at all. There’s all aspects of a restaurant menu here- breakfast favourites, lunch and dinner ideas, desserts and sides, as well as drinks too. There are just nowhere near enough photographs of the dishes to make this book stand out. Many of the dishes are easy to find online or in other cookbooks, so there’s no real ground broken here. If you like a physical book or are just starting your cookbook collection, this book would probably suit you, but unfortunately it’s not one I would pick up myself.

I received a free ebook copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.
