How did Hank Phillippi Ryan immediately make me tense up with this book? Every time I picked it up, my heart rate increased and I had to know if Tessa was ok. The premise isn't particularly wild, Ryan just knows how to write those thrilling components.

How do you engage with an author? I am thinking twice, and I hope I never give off creepy vibes. All This Could Be Yours tells the story of Tessa Calloway, a new author out on her first ever book tour. She should be having the time of her life, but Tessa's past has been creeping back... and, someone is messing with her on her book tour! She's searching the crowd for someone ominous. Its a great thriller with a great slow burn. Hank is a very talented author!

I was really looking forward to this thriller (my first by this author), but unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. It's a slow-burn thriller and at many points, I felt like nothing was really happening.

Throughout the book, I felt incredibly frustrated with the main character’s choices. I also found the way she was treated by those around her — especially her husband, publicity team, hotel employees and booksellers — frustrating and at times implausible. There were so many moments where people dismissed her very real safety concerns.

That said, the central mystery was intriguing and I stayed curious enough to see how things would unfold.

All This Could Be Yours by Hank Phillippi Ryan has a slow, steady build-up that keeps the reader wondering exactly what direction things are going to go, then when things get into gear we take off.

While the first part of the book might seem slow to some readers, I enjoyed it. I tend to want to understand the character whose mind I'm in, so I take every utterance and thought as a potential clue to their personality, to their mental health, and to their reliability as a narrator. I saw a review that mentioned what they believed were too many red herrings. I understand what they mean but they weren't really red herrings to me. Because I was thinking about the psychological make up of the protagonist, they were clues for me to consider. As such, none were misleading since they all spoke to my concern. I think if you're trying to figure out where the plot is going without interest in the character's reliability or mental state, they would indeed be red herrings. An interesting difference in the way different people read the same book.

I did feel a bit of a lag towards the middle but I also saw it as the proverbial calm before the storm. It wasn't enough for me to lose interest, but I did take a couple breaks during that part of the book. If you reach that point and question whether you should go on, definitely go on. It whisks you right along after that.

I would recommend this to readers who like slow burn suspense and the mystery of not being sure where you're going for a good part of the beginning. If you want to have a joy ride from the start, you may not get as much enjoyment out of it.

Ms. Ryan absolutely delivers with this pulse pounding thriller that asks how far will you go to protect the life you’ve built when your past catches up with you!

All This Could Be Yours by Hank Phillippi Ryan is a drama with a little bit of mystery added in. It was a bit of a slow start but the pace picks up and there are enough breadcrumbs scattered about to keep my interest. Tessa has enough paranoia built up to make you wonder exactly who is involved in the conspiracy. The ending is wrapped up neatly with some 'Murder, She Wrote' vibes going on. Overall a good read but definitely not a thriller.

Very meta mystery where the main character is on book tour for her book called All This Could Be Yours. It was fun to hear about the author’s journey on this book tour but the story did become very repetitive (take a flight, stay at a hotel, give the same speech at a bookstore) which I suppose is the reality of a book tour. I felt like the action was slow to start and not all that exciting (someone is leaving her items in her hotel room and she is trying to uncover the mystery). There was a lot of foreboding but minimal action. It did keep my interest and I wanted to figure out how it was all going to tie together. The conclusion was overall satisfying. I would recommend for those interested in a behind the scenes look at authors and book tours with a little mystery.

As a reader, I can suspend belief - believe me - but sometimes a plot just snaps the rubber band too hard and jerks me right out of the story.

Tessa Calloway is on a whirlwind book tour. Flashing lights, sold-out events, adoring fans - check, check, check. But behind the glamour is a creeping suspense: mysterious tokens, cryptic questions about her childhood, and a stalker that spins the whole affair into something darker.

A thrill-seeker to my core, I kept waiting to be grabbed by the throat - but All This Could Be Yours read more like a daytime drama than a high-stakes thriller. The setup promises a “cat-and-mouse thriller”, yet the tension didn’t land for me until much later, and I found I couldn’t fully connect with Tessa or her family.

This was a push and pull with pace, it felt like it dragged along for most of the book and then sometimes the pace felt rushed and not well thought out. The ending was way too polished, just too neat and tidy. Instead of a breathless finale, I felt like I was watching everything fall into place a little too easily.

That said, Ryan nails author-life details - balancing book events, social media, and family drama - and I can see why it resonated with many. I appreciated the clever twist and the premise of a hidden past coming back to haunt - and Ryan's love for librarians and indie bookstores shines through.

If you’re craving a full-throttle thriller, I would advise you to pass on this, but if you're in the mood for a light drama with glimpses behind the publishing curtain, check it out, just don’t expect the full-on heart-stopping ride.

Author Ryan seems to be digging into her own book tour experience as she captures the chaotic pace of the travel and the actual author events themselves. Tessa’s internal turmoil is magnified by the fact she cannot halt the pace in order to stop what sinister event seems about to occur. A thin line between having it all and what the costs may be to keep it all drives this page turner to the finish with one final twist.

The characters are richly drawn and complicated, each hiding secrets that slowly unravel in a web of lies, loyalty, and betrayal. Ryan’s prose is sharp, elegant, and emotionally resonant, with dialogue that feels authentic and pacing that never drags.

What really sets this book apart is the way it balances a suspenseful mystery with a deeply human story about family, legacy, and the weight of the past. Just when you think you have it figured out, the narrative shifts, revealing another layer of truth you didn’t see coming.

The first time I heard Hank Phillippi Ryan discuss this premise at an author event, I was riveted and knew I had to be first in line for an advance copy. ALL THIS COULD BE YOURS did not disappoint! Chilling, suspenseful, propulsive. I hung on every word.

All This Could Be Yours is the story of Tessa Calloway, debut best-selling author, as she embarks on her first ever book tour away from her husband and kids. Strange things start happening and Tessa feels she is being persecuted. Objects go missing; objects show up. It’s clear someone is upset with her, and toying with her, but why? A cat and mouse game ensues.

I had major issues with this, and had a hard time connecting with Tessa as a protagonist. She spends six chapters intensely worrying about her daughter throwing up one time, and literally only thinks about her family, and the book’s success. She also hears one of her characters speaking to her regularly, challenging her, and influencing her thoughts. This is a form of schizophrenia. Tessa is mentally ill. 2 stars.

A breakthrough novelist on her first book tour is getting stalked and receives threats. A great premise for a mystery with a sense of unease and looming danger. I enjoyed that vibe very much and read the whole novel in 2 evenings. The end was a little underwhelming, but overall the story flowed nicely and kept me interested. I have read and enjoyed works by this author before, but this one started off slow for me. I thought Tessa’s musings about a found piece of jewelry repetitive and her husband annoying. I couldn’t believe he went out and bought an expensive house for the family without consulting her and continued that disrespect by painting the kitchen an unusual color with no discussion.

As the tension builds, so does Tessa’s paranoia and I found I couldn’t put the book down reading late into the night to find out the resolution. Skillfully plotted, this is an entertaining, engrossing psychological thriller with some surprising twists.

I also want to acknowledge the author’s insightful exploration of the pressures and anxieties inherent in projecting an image in today’s world, exacerbated by the pervasive influence and constant concern surrounding social media.

In city after city, and through social media, thousands of women shower Tessa with praise and gush about how Annabelle has inspired them to change their one life and dare to go for their dreams. But strange things begin happening to Tessa as she travels—too many specific, personal questions, items appearing and disappearing from her room or suitcase—and Tessa begins to believe that someone is stalking her and planning to reveal a devastating secret from her past. Can she figure out who is after her, and what their plans for her are, before her career and life are destroyed?

All This Could Be Yours was a mixed bag for me. There were some aspects I quite liked. Some were ideas certainly covered elsewhere but still done well here: the exploration of the sometimes scary relationship between writers and their fans, and the sacrifices of privacy made in the pursuit of fame. But I really liked how, throughout the book, the same imagination that allows Tessa to be a successful author leads her to misunderstand certain things because she’s spun an explanation in her mind that turns out to be wrong.

In the end, though, I thought the pacing of All This Could Be Yours was off. The first half of the book ratchets up the tension as everything in Tessa’s life seems to be falling apart at once: just the strange events making her feel stalked, she’s feeling distant from her children, and she suddenly suspects her husband of … she’s not even sure what. But I found it more frustrating than thrilling. There were way too many “I can get to you” messages from the stalker without any real hint of why it was happening. To try to obscure the real danger to Tessa, there seemed to be an unrealistic number of actually innocent but seemingly scary red herrings happening in too short a time. When you finally get a clue about what’s really going on, you will figure it out 50 pages before Tessa (though, I’ll admit, there was at least one key piece I did not figure out). And when you finally learn the villain’s endgame, the book is almost over and the resolution is far too quick. Finally, for a book that talks so much about empowering women, I thought Tessa did surprisingly little to try to stop what was happening, from simply locking her suitcase to telling her publisher about the stalker.

All This Could Be Yours is not a bad book by any means, but I didn’t love it.

This book was just ok for me. I liked the storyline, I just dont think it needed to be as long as it was with all the twisting back and forth. All the intertwined overlapping character got hard to follow. But like I said the storyline and plot were good.

Hank never disappoints! All This Could Be Yours is yet another reason why I love her, her books and her storytelling.
When an author creates a character, You know that common question authors get “is it based on anyone you know?” This novel takes that question to a whole new level.

Hank absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one.

And Annabelle, the way she speaks to Tessa? It’s pure perfection.

What a wild ride of a story and so good! Tessa is the author of her first bestselling fiction novel and her fans are rabid about her! Tessa is also a woman with secrets and one of these fans has figured it out and is now stalking her and her family. She doesn’t know who to trust and the game of cat and mouse is on! The story keeps you guessing until the second to last chapter. Well done Hank! 5 stars!

I have read all of authors books and its also hit and miss.

I was drawn into this one from the begining but felt bored half way through. I continued on because I just had to know how it ends., I had multiple endings in my head.

Overall I enjoyed it and will continue to read her books. I highly suggest this one.
