I've never read a book by this author but I will rectify that! This was an interesting mystery/thriller with a fun premise. An author has secrets in her past, and when she goes on a book tour someone appears to be wanting to expose those secrets. We follow the author, Tessa, from city to city on the bookstore where--lots of stuff happens. The constant travel is a great technique to get the story moving and to keep the reader interested. Great wrap up of the story and the tying up of loose ends (although the parts with 'Sam' strained credibility!).

This was a fun slow burn thriller. I was legitimately surprised by the big reveal which is always a plus, I could see this being a popular book club book

A big thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for inviting me to read this book before its publication, and for providing an e-book copy.

I remember hearing this author's name in the past (it is, after all, rather memorable) and possibly reading one or more of her books, but that would have been several years ago. Now that I've read this latest story, I'll have to go back and read her previous books.

Other reviewers have offered plot synopses, and I really don't have much more to offer in that department. I can say that this writer is a master at strewing "hooks" around, especially at chapter ends, which makes it a lot harder for the reader to put the book down. I also found that as the plot twists got more and more twisty, I actually did need to put the book down and take a breather. And as is usual for me, I did not guess how it was all going to turn out.

One detail (which doesn't affect the plot in any way) I wondered about was that Tessa's publisher had her flying in economy on the book tour that takes up much of the story. Some years ago I knew of some best-selling authors whose publishers flew them in first class on tour. Perhaps those days are over, or perhaps some publishers nowadays choose to fly their authors in economy and others might fly them in first class. One would think that considering Tessa was making them lots and lots of money, the least they could do was put her in first class.

I loved this book so much! I have read almost all of Hank Phillipi Ryan and this was my favorite by far! I read the whole thing in one sitting and could not put it down.

I was so excited to be chosen to be an early reader and I’m so sorry life got in the way of me posting this sooner. Both my parents are struggling with health issues.

But in to the book. A writer going out on her book tour. Tessa was very relatable. I just can’t imagine having to leave your family for six weeks.

I knew Tessa had a secret and I was anxiously awaiting to know what it was and if it had anything to do with all the shenanigans happening. She finds jewelry then loses the jewelry and then finds more.

It seems like a cat and mouse game without her knowing what the game or the consequences are. Or could all this just be Tessa overreacting?

I flew through this one as I tried to figure out what was going on. As soon as I was sure I had it all figured out, I was foiled and needed a new theory.

Such a great blend of the physical and psychological suspense along with the cat and mouse.

Ok so this book had a strong start and a lot of good build. The ending was mostly satisfying but I’ll say the husband character was really REALLY unappealing. That being said, this is a fun weekend read.

This is one of my most fun reads of the year. It is fast-paced and brilliantly plotted, with short chapters that ensure you will gobble them like potato chips, promising yourself you will stop after “just one more.” The story toys with the intense contrast (and yet—ironically—frightening closeness) of those things that seem wildly inaccessible to most people (extreme fame and fortune), and those things that even the most ordinary stress about, no matter how average we are: (how to manage intrusive neighbors; children becoming teens and being influenced by people out of your control; how to make sure the home you left on a business trip is still “your” home when you get back). The author’s focus on the dichotomy between the life we imagine that vastly happy and famous rich people have—and the daily interactions with family and neighbors that most of us grapple with on a daily basis—undergirds one of the most interesting psychological thriller narratives I’ve ever encountered. “All This Could Be Yours” is a Roman a clef turned inside out within the world of social media: The story coexists in the world of real events and the holographic world of social media, upending our traditional conceptions of “author,” “character,” “audience,” and “true crime.” We all become voyeuristic participants in both the “crime” and the stress it sparks for suspicious onlookers. The last Hank Phillippi Ryan novel I read was so suspenseful that it kept me awake at night, and I vowed I would only read her future books in the daytime – but “All This Could Be Yours” has convinced me that I’ll need to increase my blood pressure medicine and lock the doors before opening her next novel!

I feel a little torn about this book, it is well written and several surprises. However, I was so annoyed with Tessa throughout the book that it was somewhat torturous to read. She kept imagining plots when there weren't any and I felt like she was an unreliable narrator, turns out she was and wasn't - no spoilers! So, it was not a fun read, but it was a great book.

Good authors are a balm; great authors are a gift to the world. Outstanding authors will live forever. Hank Phillippi Ryan is outstanding. From her first entry into fiction, Ryan has created a style that embraces compelling, fast-paced storytelling. With each release, her stand-alones get better. "All This Could Be Yours" is the best yet. It was like finding a $100 bill in an unused jacket.

Ryan has the talent of grabbing the reader with the opening sentence: "I'm going live because I want you to witness this." We witness the moment the social media podcaster leaves her job and begins "her first step into her new reality," saying, "I, Tessa Calloway, right this very moment, am taking my one life back."

What comes next is the most meta of books. Ryan, a noted best-selling author who often tours, plots a tale of a debut best-selling author on her first book tour. Readers are gifted with backstage information about the rigors of book tours: the "o dark thirty" airplane flights from city to city, the sterile hotel rooms, phone calls to settle childhood issues (usually coming when least expected), and fans who are both welcoming and at times overwhelming. Added to this astute view of the process, Ryan gives us a twist.

Tessa finds a locket in one of her hotel rooms. Impulsively, she shares this information with her followers. Trying to be helpful, she has unwittingly opened the chess game of her stalker—a person who is determined to destroy our Tessa. Ryan understands the allure of fame and power, and also the underlying murkiness that frequently is found beneath the public perception of celebrity status. Her message is compelling: what is the price to gain 'all this'? Here is Ryan's genius. The title alone offers the plot. "All This Could Be Yours" might be a Faustian bargain that would destroy her life. Step by step, city by city, the tension increases until... no spoilers, of course. But I will share that suddenly the night is over and the book still is not finished. I must confess no housework was done, and all meals were microwaved as I read this thriller.

If you want the best of the best, "All This Could Be Yours." Very highly recommended.

Oh my goodness! This twisted mystery is my new favorite read. I could not put it down. I loved the characters. I have been a book author fan for a few wonderful authors and it made me stop and appreciate them putting themselves out there for us to love them, even if we don’t personally know them, we feel like we do. I can see where this interaction with the public could go either way. Rewarding from the adoring public or stalkerish from the not so nice public. Hank Phillippi Ryan may you always be on the good side of the public attention and keep writing these wonderful, suspenseful, twisted books to keep our appetite satisfied. I was given an advanced reader copy of this book by NetGalley and I am freely sharing my review. #netgalley #hankphillippiryan #stmartinspublishing

I could not put this book down! An amazing story of an author on a book tour who finds herself being stalked and attempted blackmail. With things at home also in a mess, Tessa has to work through all this on her own. Past secrets play a huge role, as well as fear of what is to come. Well written with believable characters and an interesting setting. Great read!
I was given an advanced copy of the book in exchange for a review. #minotaurbooks, #hank

Thanks to Netgalley, St. Martin's Press/Minotaur Books and the author for providing me a free copy of this book for this honest review.

Hank Phillippi Ryan’s latest book, All This Could Be Yours, is about author Tess Calloway's unexpected and disturbing challenges she experiences during her US-wide and well attended book tour. She and her husband and children had just moved into a new house in new town and Tess also is unsure of what is happening at home while she is away during her weeks-long tour. She's not sure who to trust, including the people she meets on the tour and her new neighbors. Fun, suspenseful and hard to stop reading.

This is the sixth book I’ve read by Ms. Ryan, mostly reading her recent non-series books. This is definitely my favorite of all. Her personal experience as an author and newswoman helps make the story believable while full of suspenseful twists. As in all of her books that I've read, this is an easy book to read and the author is great at building the tension to keep the reader interested. I’m certainly looking forward to reading more by Ms. Ryan and fortunately I already own most of her back list.

ALL THIS COULD BE YOURS, written by Hank Phillippi Ryan, is a standalone thriller. Tessa Calloway leaves her corporate career at Swain and Woolworth now that her husband, Henry, has a new job. She plans on focusing on her husband and kids. Three years later, Tessa is at Excelsior Books, a stop on her book tour. I am interested in Tessa’s life and read on.

Tessa is an interesting protagonist. She takes a brave step to leave her corporate career and begin one as an author. The fact that Hank Phillippi Ryan writes fiction in a second career (while still a reporter) makes the beginning of this book incredibly realistic. As the story develops, there are times I wonder if the protagonist, Tessa, is giving up motherhood and marriage for the fame of authorship. I enjoy reading about a character’s book tour experience, but really want more of a thrilling story. Thank you, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley, for the chance to read and review an advance reader copy of ALL THIS COULD BE YOURS.

A real psychological thriller with lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I really enjoyed this page turner. A good reminder that our childhood memories can be larger than life.

4.5 rounded

Great book! Brings you in right away, about the first 73% was gripping and fast. It felt more like a slow burn from that point but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

The suspense was spot on and kept me engaged. I enjoyed the MFC. The book team aside from DJ was harder to keep track of but also not distracting. The theme of how far one would go for their child is relatable.

Des Moines isn't featured in a whole lot of novels. It was great to see and kudos to the author for capturing it. The circle around the city interstate and the (acurate) description of our downtown library made me chuckle.

Overall, a solid read and definitely worth your time. Check this one out on publication day September 9th.

ALL THIS COULD BE YOURS by Hank Phillippi Ryan is a twisty, edge of your seat thriller that will keep you glued to the pages till the very end. I absolutely adored this book and it was definitely one I can see myself reading again over the lazy summer days when it comes out September 9th. The author has a way of creating amazing, intriguing characters that are so well written and complex they fairly brim with life and step off the pages of the book and into my living room. With each page of All This Could Be Yours, I was drawn deeper and deeper into this web of a mystery that snared me from page one.

Hank Phillippi Ryan is a master at book tension and she really delivers the goods in her latest book, All This Could Be Yours. Here we meet author Tess Calloway, who's on tour for her latest book and has someone watching her, stalking her and if that wasn't chilling enough, her past that she tried so hard to forget is starting to come back to haunt her in ways that will make the reader gasp in shock and worry what will happen next. This is a story with a several twists and turns I sure didn't see coming and an ending that led me to put the book down and go WOW! when I was all done with it.

All This Could Be Yours by Hank Phillippi Ryan is truly a masterpiece of a thriller, a story that will keep the reader glued to the pages for hours (like I was) forgetting about food, bathroom breaks and more as you flip the pages to see just what or who the stalker is and if Tess will finally face her past. I highly recommend All This Could Be Yours as this will be the perfect read as we go into Autumn.
