I've previously really enjoyed some of Melissa Febos' work, but unfortunately this one wasn't my favourite. The Dry Season felt a bit overwritten, and too dense - which made it a bit inaccessible. I was really looking forward to diving into Febos' gorgeous prose, but I found myself frequently rereading parts. Not my favourite unfortunately.
