I'll be quick and honest.

I didn't get into this book at all. Hidden societies, no history, suddenly thrust into some ongoing battle - yet not knowing how or why.

Secondly, I really think this book suffered from either poor translation...or translation of poor writing. Either way, it was hard to read.
