I have not read the Webtpon so I am not sure how this version differs from the original, however, I really loved this so far. This is a story about a girl who has lost her mom in a fire and been under the care of her abusive aunt since. I don’t want to spoil too much of this but I’ll say it’s a really beautifully drawn story and really interesting. The world building is good and I find myself intrigued by all the various characters. Can’t wait to read the next volume!

Great artwork with a great premise of a graphic novel. A soft DNF for me currently, but one I do hope to return to within the next few months.
I am not giving a true star rating as I intend to return to the book and give a true rating then.

Another approved NetGalley ARC! I remember reading this on Webtoon when it came out a few years ago and I was entranced. Seeing it in a more refined graphic novel makes my heart happy! These sapphic witches make my heart happy and so does Toben and Beignet (the familiars). Breaking generational curses, found family, and a mysteriously deadly secret are some of the themes of this graphic novel series. I’m excited to see Camille (the FMC) grow as the novels continue. The art is so stunning as well and easily flowing dialogue that is easy to follow.
Thank you NetGalley and Miranda Mundt for the ARC! All thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.

I haven’t read lots of graphic novels before but it’s a genre I want to delve into more and I loved this one. The illustrations and art are absolutely stunning and evoke so much emotion and power. The storyline is intriguing with diverse and interesting characters that I want to know more about. I’m excited for volume 2 to find out what happens next!
Overall, I had a great time reading this and it was really beautifully put together. Will definitely be pre-ordering a physical copy for when it’s released!

After the tragic death of her family, Camille never really fit in with the family that took her in, and that's for a very good reason. Filled with the yearning of needing to know oneself with light sapphic tones, this is a cozy quick read for any witch at heart.
I really enjoyed the foray into this witchy matriarchal story and am looking forward to the next installment!

This. Was. AWESOME!
I can't remember if I enjoyed a comic this much lately - I read it in one breath.
It is full of magic, finding oneself, and a lot of dark, but also light and humorous moments.
It's a perfect balance in my opinion.
I am so invested in the world, and a lot of things are left to be fully developed in further books, which I can't wait for! I absolutely love the inclusivity of all possible groups in this book. It was done so flawlessly, too (mentioning this because sometimes it is done forcefully to meet a quota...).
The artwork and colouring were so vibrant and magical. They added another dimension to this graphic novel.
I am already holding my breath for book 2, and book 1 isn't even out yet. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for granting me this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

It took me a bit to be drawn into this story, but once the plot picked up, I was hooked.
I want to know everything about Camille's past and her future. I love the mystery behind her past and what it can mean for her. Plus a found family can't ever go wrong.

I have been loving all of the webtoons being published in physical form lately, so when I saw this one I knew I needed to give it a try. The beginning starts out so dark and depressing, but it really did a great job setting up the rest of the story. It immediately throws you into the story and does a good job of letting you know which characters you are going to hate right away.
I was not expecting the demon at the end, and I loved it. I can’t wait to see what happens with them next!
I hope we see a lot more of the LaCour family In the next volume.

An amazing book with relatable characters. The content warnings were welcome. There is abuse mentioned.
Cammie is torn between fulfilling obligations to her aunt or following her own path. She is light and dark combined into a beautiful person. The art work will draw you in as will the diverse characters. I really loved this comic and look forward to reading the other volumes.

This was a great intro to a fantastic witchy series. I really appreciated how the author established the differences between magical households almost immediately, making it very clear that where lines were drawn. The additions of the little familiars for each witch we encounter was too cute, especially Toben and little Lavender. I can't wait to see where this series goes!

"Muted" by Miranda Mundt completely captivated me—I devoured everything from the rich world-building to the sapphic yearning, to the heartfelt discussions around grief and finding independence later in life. It’s whimsical yet deeply relatable, making for such a lovely read. I was so hooked that I immediately ran to Webtoon to finish the rest. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Trying to figure out where you belong within and outside of your family is a familiar feeling for many young people as they enter adulthood. However, most aren’t expected to summon demons with blood magic.
This book had everything I was looking for; magic, mystery, and a decent dash of queer. I found the world building around the different magic families interesting. I felt as desperate as Camille to find the answers about her past and the expectations surrounding it.
The artwork really enhanced the story. I thought the flowy nature of the illustrations matched the magical vibes of the narrative.
I love a good sapphic story as well, and this story is set not to disappoint. The interactions between the characters are fun and quirky, especially between the main character and potential love interest. “It’s okay if you… like plants.”
My only critique was the pacing of the story. I expected it to be fast-paced, but it moved a bit too quickly, leaving me with some questions unanswered or confusing me with sudden shifts.
Overall, I would recommend this for anyone searching for a fast-paced modern-fantasy mystery. I can’t wait to see what book 2 brings us.

I thought this was a cute read. The story has an interesting plot and the characters are nicely fleshed out. The one down side is there are many typos.
Thank you to Ten Speed and NetGalley for this ARC. Due to be published July 8, 2025.

The art is really cute and the story is nice, its a quick read.
However there are some typos, they did kinda bother me, there were only two, but over all it probably shouldnt bother even tho if this is gonna get published they should probably fix them.

Super cute and fun graphic novel, lots of magic and a mysterious plot line. I loved the world-building and the art style was lovely.
I’m looking forward to finding out more of Camille’s past and her powers. And it’s apparently a sapphic poly romance? Can’t wait to see more of that!

This is such a cute graphic novel! I really love the artstyle and am intrigued to see how the story continues. I love how naturally diversity is weaved into the story. Definitely a good book for anyone who loves witches and queer story lines!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me a copy of this book!
It is the story of Camille who is about to do a ritual the Severin family has been doing for ages. She has lost her family in a fire incident and lives with her cousin Avalin and her aunt who does not treat her very well. When the ritual fails, she takes some time for herself and figure out who she is and what she wants.
This first book was great! The drawings were gorgeous and the story cute. The new acquaintances she made and the mystery around the demon following her makes me want to continue reading!
Her familiar Toben is also the cutest, I love him!! I enjoyed seeing her trying to discover more about herself and her powers.

Muted: Volume 1 is a great introduction to a new comic series. The art is stunning, full of saturated colors and play on shadow. I liked the setting in New Orleans with competing covens, each specializing in a different type of magic. I am curious to see how the Severin ended up so isolated when it seems like most of the covens have a thriving society, plenty of connection between the families. This seems like it will be a major theme for the series. I am hoping we will get more on Aunt Silvia and the Leroux family too - I'm very interested on Camille's aunt who quietly defies Matriarch Athalie. I will say the ultimate summoning of the flower demon felt off in tone from the rest of the graphic novel, but I think it's intentionally askew from Camille's expectations. It definitely has me curious for more. I have been loving the Webtoon adaptations into graphic novel format, and Muted is no exception. I can't wait to see where this story goes!

Thank you netgally for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I honestly had no idea what this story was about, only that it was a found family with a sapphic poly romance. I was kinda surprised by the book (maybe I should have read the blurb more closely lol) but I really enjoyed it!
At the start I didn’t really understand what was going on but I understood all the characters relatively fast. I loved getting to know Camille’s backstory and how she became how she is (her aunt is a b*tch). It was very nice to see her bond with her cousin and it made me sad to see her step away from her because she was scared her aunt would figure out her secret.
I really liked to see Camille’s change in perspective after getting away from her aunt. From blaming all the other family’s for the deaths of her mom and twin to developing a little crush on one of the girls. I can’t wait to see more of them in the next part
I also can’t wait to see her connect more to her other power. I loved getting to see her in the other family and can’t imagine how different her life would have been if she could have gone there instead of her aunt Athalie.
I really can’t wait for the next part!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for providing me a free e-arc of this graphic novel.
Wow! I absolutely loved the start of this story, and I can't wait until volume 2 to see where it goes! All of the characters were interesting, the plot is great, I love that the characters have familiars, and the illustrations were absolutely gorgeous!
If you like a witchy tale with a blooming sapphic romance, definitely give this a try!
