Once again this series brings never-ending suspense with high stakes and even higher tension. Gemma and Logan use their respective talents to protect both themselves and their fellow hostages as Gemma tricks the gunmen into allowing her to negotiate, seemingly on their behalf, while slipping info to her team outside and strategizing how to make their play inside.
All the action takes place in Grand Central Station and while I've never been, the detailed descriptions allowed me to perfectly picture the scene. Adding to the experience, this is an author who always has the characters make advantageous use of their surroundings. I totally felt in the middle of the action. I wanted to race through to find out what would happen next and had to remind myself to take in the story. Still, the book is fast-paced and I finished in one sitting, unable to put it down.

Jen Danna is a master thriller writer, and Book 4 in her NYPD Negotiators series had me up all night until I finished the book. I literally could not put it down. It is intense and fast-paced - which is why I read it in one sitting! I can’t recommend this author enough.

Terminal Impasses takes us into the negotiations between the NYPD and terrorists. Two potentially deadly twists - expert negotiator Gemma Capello and SWAT sniper Sean Logan are among the hostages, and the terrorists’ demands are time sensitive and impossible to meet. The book is intense and fast-paced as we watch the unfolding of this massive game of chess between terrorists and police, with Gemma posing as a business negotiator to assist. I was spellbound and fascinated - it was a hard book to put down!

The author is a master thriller writer, and Book 4 in her NYPD Negotiators series had me lost in the well-spun tale for hours. Isn't that what the best books do? In this case, I cared deeply about hostage negotiator Gemma Capello and detective Sean Logan, caught in an armed takeover of Grand Central Terminal while heading to a nearby restaurant. I read this gripping story in one sitting, and thank the author for giving me a welcome respite during a tough time in life. Brava, Sara Driscoll!
