This book was very average for me. I didn’t find myself wanting to pick it up and it was very predictable. Jonah is such a sweetheart and he deserves to be protected at all costs! I really loved his determination and drive to leave a mark behind. I also really did enjoy the character growth that Kacey goes through.

Kacey Dawson has always lived life on the edge, and as lead guitarist for a hot up-and-coming band, she is poised at the brink of fame and fortune. Yet she is torn between wanting to be taken seriously as a musician and her struggles with her family, which manifest in many alcohol binges. After drinking excessively after a sold-out concert in Vegas, she wakes up with a massive hangover and no memory of the night before or how she ended up on her limo driver's couch. Jonah Fletcher has recently had a heart transplant and fears that he is running out of time. He’s vowed to make the most of the handful of months he has left to him, including seeing the opening of his glass installation at a prestigious art gallery. Yet when he meets Kacey, he finds himself falling in love with her. They both feel the connection between them but are unsure how to navigate the future when all is so uncertain.
There are so many beautiful quotes that I could take from this book as they highlight the love and friendship that Kacey and Jonah share. Jonah is just the right person for Kacey, saving her from self-destruction while she brings light into his life when he wonders what it is all for. Without revealing too much of this story, all I can say is that it is a beautiful read. It left me reflecting on the story long after I had finished reading.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.5 stars!! I am not ok.
This book was beautiful but my heart hurts now. Kaceys story had me hooked from the first phone call to the very last page. As far as MMc’s, Jonah truly shows what love is and could be. Beautiful story! I hope so many people read this book and fall in love the same way I have!

Full Tilt wrecked me in the best, most soul shattering way possible! Emma Scott has this magical ability to write stories that cut right to the bone. I went into this thinking it would be a typical opposites attract romance, but what I got was a deeply emotional, beautifully written story about love, purpose, and redemption. The writing It’s poetic without being overdone. If you’re looking for a book that will make you cry and reflect this is the one!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by saying this is not a romance, but a love story. Therefore, there is not a HEA!
This was a reread for me and I still greatly enjoyed their story. When I first read it I knew what was coming, but it still broke me. This time was easier, but no less emotional.

I don't even have the words to describe how this book affected me. I laughed, smiled, and felt like my heart was ripped out. Even after it left me completely heartbroken I will still continue to recommend it to everyone. It is such an incredible read. Everyone should read Kacey and Jonah's story. It is beautiful.

"I would love you forever, Kacey, if I only had the chance."

Kacey and Jonah’s story is heartbreakingly beautiful. It was an emotional rollercoaster that had me hooked from the very first page. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and the way their relationship develops feels incredibly genuine. The emotional depth of the story had me tearing up more than once. It’s a perfect blend of love, loss, and personal growth. I laughed, I swooned—and yes, I cried. A lot. It broke my heart and somehow managed to piece it back together again. This is the kind of book that lingers long after you’ve turned the last page.

Full Tilt by Emma Scott is the first book in a two-part duet.

"I would love you forever if I only had the chance..."

Jonah Fletcher spends his days as a glass artist and his nights as a limo driver in Las Vegas. With a strict timeline to complete his glass installation and cement his legacy, he stays focused—until Kacey Dawson crashes into his world.

Kacey has always lived her life on the edge—impulsive, reckless, torn between the dream of becoming a serious musician and the temptations of an alcohol-soaked path. A disaster show leaves Kasey passing out in Jonah's limo. The only thing he wanted was for the night to end. But with no other option, he took her in, unaware that this seemingly insignificant act would alter the course of his remaining months.

Love doesn’t magically erase life's struggles, but being truly seen and cared for transforms everything. The words on every page in this novel capture the fleeting yet unforgettable bond between Jonah and Kacey.

Emma Scott is a newly discovered author for me, and my first experience with her work left a lasting impression.

This book was an absolute delight to read! It had everything I look for — engaging writing, memorable characters, and a story that stayed with me long after I turned the last page. The author’s voice is distinct and compelling, making it easy to get lost in the world they created, no matter the genre.

I'm incredibly grateful to the publisher for the early copy. It was such a joy to read this in advance, and I can’t wait for more readers to experience it. Highly recommend!

Full Tilt was the kind of novel that didn’t just tug at my heartstrings—it played a full-blown symphony on them. This story was raw, radiant, and completely unforgettable. I knew going in that it would wreck me, and it absolutely did... in the best possible way.
Kacey and Jonah were opposites on the surface—she, the wild, self-destructive rockstar spiraling under the weight of fame, and he, the quiet artist who had already accepted that his time was running out. But together? They were incandescent. The way their relationship unfolded—gently, unexpectedly, with so much respect and aching tenderness—was a masterclass in slow-burn emotional intimacy.
The author's prose was lyrical without being flowery, and her ability to explore addiction, purpose, mortality, and love with such unflinching honesty took my breath away. Jonah wasn’t just a love interest; he was a living, breathing soul who made every second of the story feel real. And Kacey’s transformation—from lost and numb to vibrant and self-aware—was one of the most satisfying character arcs I’ve read in a long time.
I cried. I smiled through tears. I finished the final page with a heart that felt both shattered and full. Full Tilt wasn’t just a love story—it was a reminder that the most beautiful things in life are often the most fleeting. Five stars, and then some.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

4.5 ⭐

I love Emma Scott’s books, but I put this one off for a long time (it’s technically the first in the duet) because I knew how it ends. But when I saw that Bloom Books would be re-releasing it, I knew the time had come!

Kacey is the lead guitarist in an up-and-coming band, but she’s not happy. She’s cut off from her family—her dad kicked her out years ago—and she drowns her pain in alcohol. Then she meets Jonah, a limousine driver who completely changes her life. The only problem? Jonah’s time is running out.

This story is deeply emotional and heartbreakingly beautiful. I was terrified to read the final chapters—it was hard to breathe—but I’m so glad I did. This is the kind of book that stays with you forever. Jonah will stay in my heart forever! The way he worked on his glass installation, wanting to leave something behind… it moved me beyond words. His relationship with Kacey was everything.

And Theo? He’s such an interesting character—I can’t wait to read his story next. But first, I need time to recover emotionally.

This book is a reminder that time is fleeting, life is fragile, and we should treasure every moment. It broke my heart—but I’d let it break me again! Highly, highly recommend.

Emotional damage!!

This book was kind of slow for me to get into, but I'm glad I stuck it out. This follows two broken people, one broken from her family life and one broken from a life debilitating disease. This is fast paced and honestly sad af, but I loved every minute of it.

Kacey was kicked out at 18 and left to live on her own. She is now in a band and an amazing musician; however, she struggles with drugs and alcohol. She tries to not indulge, but she can't help but try reaching out to her family. Which every time she does, she ends up spiraling.

One day before a show, she calls her mother and this leads her to blacking out. She ends up at their limo drivers house?? Which she's down so bad she like doesn't care?? Actually breaks me.

Jonah has a heart disease and even though he had a transplant, his body is rejecting. Left with only months to live, he pours his heart into glass making and working other jobs. He is just trying to ignore the end. One of his side hustles is a limo driver and one night he is driving for a few band members. When he's brought a drunk girl to take home, he tries, but fails, taking her back to his place.

This is how they meet.. I can't y'all!!

Jonah doesn't want to get close to anyone. He doesn't want to love. He doesn't want to open up.
Kacey wants to be close to people. She wants love. She wants to have someone.
And when they meet, the two quickly become inseparable.

Because of Jonah's illness, he has to be extra cautious around "bad things" and this helps Kacey stay and want to be sober.

Throughout their time being friends, the pair quickly grow on each other and fall in love. Jonah tried to fight it because he knew he was on borrowed time, but Kacey didn't care.

Their story was everything and I cannot wait to get into book 2.

Thank you Bloom Books and Netgalley for an eARC.
Immersive read: audio & ebook
Highly recommend!

Emma Scott's Full Tilt is an emotional rollercoaster that masterfully blends themes of love, loss, and living life to its fullest. The story follows Kacey Dawson, a struggling musician, and Jonah Fletcher, a disciplined artist with limited time due to a heart condition. Their connection is as profound as it is bittersweet, with each helping the other find meaning and purpose despite the ticking clock. Scott's writing is poetic and evocative, drawing readers into the raw and vulnerable world of her characters. The emotional depth of this story resonates long after the final page, making it a must-read for fans of deeply moving romance. Be warned: this book will tug at your heartstrings and may leave you reaching for tissues.

I loved everything about this 5 star story. An heartfelt journey.

Kacey is struggling has a member of a rock group. As they become more popular, she sinks deeper into an hole of alcool and meaningless sex. Jonah is the limo driver who saves her in more ways than one. They go through very difficult times. She will need to stand on her own.

This was a story that made me shed quite a few tears of anguish. It’s an heartfelt story that had me hooked from the first page read to the last one. It was an highly addicting and entertaining story.

This is part one of a duet. All In needs to be read too in order to get the full experience of this amazing journey called life. Bottomline this is a must read.

Part one of a duet told in a dual POV. I strongly recommend this story.

**Review of *Full Tilt* by Emma Scott:**

*Full Tilt* by Emma Scott is an emotionally gripping, beautifully written romance that delves deep into the complexities of love, loss, and healing. The story follows the journey of Jonah, a talented but broken musician, and Kacey, a young woman dealing with the devastating aftermath of her own personal tragedy. When their paths cross, both are at crossroads in their lives, struggling with the weight of grief and finding their way back to hope.

One of the standout qualities of *Full Tilt* is Emma Scott's ability to create raw, multi-dimensional characters. Jonah and Kacey are flawed but incredibly relatable, and their connection is palpable from the very first moment they meet. Their emotional journeys are powerful and leave readers reflecting on their own experiences with love and loss.

The writing is poetic yet grounded, with lush descriptions and insightful dialogue that draws you into the story. Scott doesn't shy away from the tough topics, but she balances the heaviness with moments of tenderness and joy. The pacing is perfect, with the story unfolding naturally and allowing the emotional depth to build without feeling rushed.

What truly sets this novel apart is its ability to make readers feel. The chemistry between Jonah and Kacey is undeniable, but it’s their individual growth and healing that make their relationship so compelling. The book doesn’t just focus on romantic love—it also explores the importance of self-love and finding strength within oneself.

If you're a fan of heart-wrenching, soul-stirring romance, *Full Tilt* is a must-read. Emma Scott has once again proven her mastery in creating a story that will stay with you long after you turn the final page. The emotional payoff is well worth the ride, and it’s a book that will make you laugh, cry, and ultimately believe in the healing power of love.
