Learn My Lesson by Katee Robert is what happens when Hades and Megara walk into a bar, drag Hercules into their web, and set the entire emotional landscape on fire. In the best way possible.

This book is dark, seductive, and loaded with just the right amount of myth-inspired drama. Hades is the calculating king of the underworld, Meg is sharp, bitter, and done with everyone's nonsense, and Hercules stumbles into their world thinking he understands the rules. He does not.

The dynamic between the three is gloriously messy, full of power plays, vulnerability, and seriously hot tension that eventually becomes something real and unexpected. Katee Robert nails the emotional depth without ever pulling back on the spice, and the character growth feels earned even in all its morally gray glory.

If you're into steamy love triangles, twisted loyalties, and characters who are just as broken as they are bold, this book needs to be on your TBR. Lessons were definitely learned, and I regret nothing.

Spicy 🌶 🌶 🌶 , fun read about hades and Meg who work together and then seek out hercules to join them. It's alot of sexy spicy scenes so if your not into this, this is not the book for you. But it was definitely fun and easy to read.

Thank you so much to Katee Robert & Sourcebooks Casablanca for this ARC!

--4.5 stars for me--
Full transparency -- I have listened to the audio version of this before, and I will say that I remembered pretty much nothing when I went back in to read this new collector's edition.

I am a sucker for anything Meg x Hercules x Hades and Katee really made this a fun read! I have not read anything else from the Wicked Villains series, but I honestly think I need to now after reading this. There was enough intrigue into the other side characters in this story that I'm itching to read about them.

I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic of our main characters with eachother and all together. Katee has a way of writing their characters so openly & unapologetically themselves, and each character is different, so you're never bored.

I also very much enjoyed Katee's little quips and comments throughout the book; they gave voice to thoughts I had or added some extra to set the scene.

I definitely see where Katee finessed things in this one so that the ties to the Dark Olympus series were a bit more fine tuned.

I love Katee’s writing style and I haven’t read a book of hers that I didn’t enjoy, so when I learned she was re-releasing this book, I was thrilled to receive an ARC. I loved every minute of it. I read Neon Gods first, so the references to Hercules in that book had me wanting to learn more of his story and I was not disappointed!

Hercules is everything I hoped he would be — the heroic, too good for this world, knight in shining armor that you’d expect any character named Hercules to be. I found him to be so endearing, even in his naivety, and I found myself rooting for him throughout the story.

I loved all of it — from the way Meg and Hercules first meet to the dynamic between Hades, Meg, and Hercules. The story is engaging and while this book is extra spicy - Katee does an incredible job of showing the evolving dynamics and the developing relationships through the spicy scenes as well as the non-spicy ones. It’s important to note that there is an insta-love/instant connection story here, but I have come to love the “love at first sight” stories Katee tells.

Simply put, this book is a fun time — if you’re like me and read Dark Olympus first, you’ll really enjoy learning more about some characters that made appearances in those books.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

Read this when it was self published and really enjoyed it then and felt the same now. I do wish there was bit more revision on the tension between Meg and Hades cause some of their problems weren't clear cut to me in the original or in this re-release. But I believe with this series a deeper plot is not the selling point for it and that's ok. Still a fun time with the classics KR spice.

I loved the dynamic in the book and oh the spice did spice a lot. It was a perfect read for me. The book captured the personalities of Meg, Hercules, and Hades in this polyamorous relationship in such a good way that I JUST COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN.

This one wasn't bad! I could have used a little more character development but look, I don't know that you read Katee Robert for that reason alone.

Katee Robert is a go to author for me. Her writing is easy to read, sexy, diverse and just plain enjoyable. This was no exception and I really liked it

This book gives you all the feels y0u need to relive those Disney movies you love so much, but in the adult way you crave. The vulnerability of these characters shows the depth I always yearned for.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tropes:
* Greek mythology modern retelling (Hades x Meg x Hercules)
* Dom/sub/switch
* MMF
* Super steamy from the beginning!
* Black cat seduces the golden boy

Thank you to NetGalley, Katee Robert, and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I really like the added commentary that gives insight into her inspiration and reasoning for when she first wrote this book and changes she’s made. I’ve read Katee’s Dark Olympus series, so I’m excited I got to read this one first as Hercules and Meg are two of my faves of Greek Mythology and liked the Easter eggs while reading it! The fact she made this a MMF dark romance with them and Hades is so steamy and provocative! The added trope of BDSM between them makes it more than just the heroic bargain Herc makes for Meg to save her. Meg becomes the one who stays in the gray, making sure the darkness of Hades and lightness of Hercules never overpowers their relationship together. This was also the book that I felt has had the best spice so far by Katee Roberts!

And while I’m a little shy to admit this, I’m partly biased because of how much I loved the Disney Hercules movie as a kid, so this book especially got my heart racing multiple times 🤭

This book goes from zero to spice in about 2.2 seconds, but isn’t that one of the reason we love Katee Robert books in the first place? I’ve always been a sucker for Hercules and it’s no different with this book, his character is loveable and also gullible in the best possible way.

There is just something about the way Katee manages to tie the characters in her books together, it took me unreasonable amount of time to put two and two together with the characters in this book and the tie in with the Dark Olympus series but when i finally did my jaw literally dropped.

Holy moly that was spicy! I think I need to read the other books in her series, because I was unfamiliar with the storyline but I figured it out quickly. Where can I get myself a Hades?

Katee Robert really is the queen of spice. I binged this book in a little over a day. I loved this Hercules retelling. The relationship dynamic between the characters was perfection. Can’t wait to continue the series

Truly this is my ideal mmf situation. Absolutely adored the juxtaposition between Hades's darkness and Hercules's brightness and Meg right in the middle. I love Katee Robert for writing these short and delectable erotica books to explore good, safe and consensual BDSM.

“Neon Gods would be a very different book if Hades had made a different choice here…”

It’s finally time for the rerelease of my favorite book in the Wicked Villains series: Learn My Lesson.

Hades and Meg have been together forever, but their relationship is hanging by a thread. Together, they run The Underworld and control much of Carver City, but behind the scenes, their personal lives are far messier. When Hades spots a chance to strike at his greatest rival and possibly mend things with Meg, he ropes Hercules into a deal. What he doesn’t count on is Hercules being far less disposable than planned.

Hades, Meg, and Hercules are truly my favorite disaster trio. I adore how different they are from one another, and how their dynamic slowly builds into a beautiful, chaotic triad. Revisiting this story has been such a delight. The rerelease smooths over the continuity gaps between Wicked Villains and Dark Olympus, and I especially loved reading Katee’s annotations throughout. Plus, all the bonus scenes featuring this trio are included at the end, which makes this edition feel like such a treat. The only missing pieces is the Hades x Hades reunion arc.

I can't wait to receive my physical copy from Katee’s Patreon when it ships this August. The new covers are absolutely stunning! Whether you’ve been a longtime Wicked Villains fan or came in through Dark Olympus, this edition is a must-have for your shelf.

Thank you so much to @sourcebookscasa, @katee_robert, and @netgalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this one!

Classic Katee Robert novel. Her books are perfect for when you want that slightly dark, suspenseful, spicy romance. The characters in this one were great, the story itself was intriguing and I loved the romance.

The second book in the Wicked Villains series, a retelling of the Disney film Hercules, explores a polyamorous relationship with Meg and Hades. Hercules, who fled his father's despotic rule (if you're curious, I recommend giving Katee Robert's Dark Olympus series a try), breaks the monotony of the Hades-Meg marriage and manages to unite them romantically, overcoming Hades' reservations that he only wanted something temporary. The polyamorous relationship allows for some very engaging dynamics, a delightful mix of curiosity, experience, trust, consent, power, and submission. As with the previous book, I found the resolution a bit disappointing; I would have preferred a more direct confrontation between Hercules and his father.

Katee never makes a mistake and this one is another proof of it.
The angst between Hades and Meg, the incredible steam between Hercules and both of them, and Meg herself… oh my, I love this.
Also, all the little easter eggs for Dark Olympus makes it even more delightful.
I really enjoyed this.
