Paige Turner started off super fun and cute, but I unfortunately ended up disappointed and wanting more.
I was excited to read about an FMC in their 30s and I felt like Paige was a good representation of that age group! Friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes and I was happy to see that Rhodes was the one harboring the feelings for a long time and not Paige, which was a great change of pace. I did love the chapters from the POV of Paige's cat! I thought they added a nice change of pace and much-needed levity to the story.
The two things that drug this down for me were the "blind dating" aspect of the story because Rhodes was straight up lying to Paige and those storylines always make me uncomfortable. Based on the book description, I thought it might be a dating show type vibe, which would be totally okay with me! But the fact that it was an informal, multi-day, asynchronous situation was off-putting and made me dislike Rhodes as he pretended to be someone else through her phone.
My second issue was with the Parks and Recreation inspiration. I thought the blatant references were fun at first (TREAT YO SELF), but once I realized that every character was based directly on a Parks and Rec character, it went downhill for me because it made the story feel less genuine. As Parks and Rec's number one fan, it was not a pleasurable read. I wish the Parks and Rec inspiration had been noted in the book description because I would have known it wasn't for me and not have a bad taste in my mouth.
I think if these things don't bother you, you would enjoy Paige Turner! It was a light-hearted, quick read with a surprising ending that leaves you wanting more. But I unfortunately am not one of those people.
I am grateful to Christina Hill and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Vibes: 📚👓💞🐱🍋
Rating: 4.0 ⭐
Tropes: friends-to-lovers / blind dates / second chances / small town charm
Firstly, I love that the FMC, Paige, is a woman in her 30s that is struggling with dating the wrong guys. Felt super relatable to me, which definitely made me laugh and enjoy this read a whole lot more.
Secondly, I need to read the next installment ASAP because I need to know what happens. Not a fan of the cliffhanger ending, but the author has sold me on this love story.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers and author for an advanced copy of this book, Paige Turner by Christina Hill.
This book was so much fun! I loved Rhodes, Paige and Cleo. I laughed out loud quite a few times. And reading from Cleo’s point of view was hilarious.
I do wish it was longer and without the abrupt cliffhanger ending. I plan on reading the sequel asap.
4⭐️

As a fellow Paige Turner type, this book made me appreciate having the representation of living back in your childhood home in your late 20s. Now, if only I could figure out how to get my pets to write delightful POV chapters that would succinctly clarify my love life choices...
Cute concept, albeit predictable. Simple but fun story. Paige makes for an amusing main lead. Nice story for fans of friends to lovers, he falls first, and schemes with good intentions.
Three stars for the abrupt ending and predictability—but with the confession that I still enjoyed the comfort of said predictability.
Thanks to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and NetGalley, for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Paige Turner by Christina Hill is a friend's to more than friends book. I'd say friends to lovers but not sure it gets quite there, in this book at least.
Paige and Rhodes are best friends. Paige is determined to find love after her latest relationship fails. She turns to her friend who suggests blind dating 3 different people. Paige doesn't know whoever that one of the men she's texting is Rhodes who is her friend but also is in love with her.
I love the fact that Paige's cat Cleocatrs has it's own point of view and chapters! I found that so unique and fun,n
This book does end on a cliff hanger and is part of a series so if that annoys you then it's probably not the book for you, unless you grab book two at the same time.
Thank you Christina for working with NetGalley. I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

I enjoyed Paige Turner by the end. I did hate the unresolved ending and waiting for the 2nd book, even with the warning from the author from the beginning that it would be happening. Many of the characters are beautiful, other than the best friend in this best friend to lovers will they won't they. The devoted bestie has no growth, that doesn't stop me from being hopeful for him in book 2, which I plan to read. I adore all of the side characters: the sister, the neighbor and the cat. The cat chapters are killer. There are funny stories within the story, great one liners. The first chapter teaser of book two at the end of the book left me more hopeful then the actual end of the book. I suppose the most important piece of if you are interested in this book is if you think that Tom Hank's character in Sleepless in Seattle is a liar who should get dumped or a sweet man who should be forgiven. If option one, stay away from this book. Tropes out to win: Friends to lovers, unrequited, 3rd act break up (unresolved), runaway, Last to know Triggers: mental health, Lies in relationship

This book is perfect for readers who love heartwarming stories that explore the complexities of modern relationships. It delves into the lives of friends who find themselves navigating the tricky path from friendship to romance, all while dealing with the challenges of dating in the digital age. The story realistically portrays the messy reality of opening oneself up to love and the often-hilarious ways that technology can both help and hinder the pursuit of connection.

I really loved this book, that ending?! I need the next book now!!
I love the banter between Paige and Rhodes.
Paige is determined to find love after another failed relationship she turns to her friend who suggests blind dating with 3 different men.
Unknown to Paige she is texting with her best friend who’s inlove with her.
Also the POV from Cleocatra was amazing!
I could not put this book down.

I love Paige SO much! And it's all her small things that just make her so endearing - the mushroom collection, her cat, all of the antiques.... I was cracking up during the "break up" with her bf because that dinner with him & her family? Oh my word.
And Rhodes!! Eeps - talk about an absolute golden retriever of a man. He is truly down bad for Paige and their friendship alone could just absolutely melt hearts and convince people that love is real. So when his true romantic feelings are shown? No one stands a chance!
This cliffhanger though... that was cruel and I was absolutely blown away!
Super giddy that I have book two because I could not wait to see what comes next for Paige, Rhodes, and Cleocatra!
Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and Christina Hill for this e-arc!!

The characters and behaviors in this book were very frustrating. While some of the situations were comical and it wanted to be great rom com, it just fell short for me.

I loved this book and this story. It was funny and sad, I really wanted Rhodes and Paige to get together. I can't wait to read the second one. Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC

Christina Hill is forever my favorite RomCom author and PAIGE FRIGGIN' TURNER, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The journey to self acceptance and self love is admirable and while I was NOT HAPPY with this cliffhanger (honestly, it was great and she delivered with the sequel... but STILL) - the way I hung to every word and every chapter was top notch. Forever a Christina Hill girly. An auto-buy and auto-read. You'll laugh, reflect and root on these characters.

Thank you so much for the ARC Christina!💖
I adored Paige and Rhodes so much and this book was the cutest little rom com that had me giggling and kicking my feet so hard🥹
Plus those little chapters for Cleo are just what I needed and I didn’t even know I could🐱

Told from three perspectives (Paige, Rhodes and Paige's cat Cleocatra) this was a short, cute read. Paige is someone who has never had a successful career or love life. She does however, have some fantastic friends including our boy Rhodes, who has been harbouring feelings for Paige since they were kids. Paige's friend Delia decides to set Paige up in a blind date experiment, enlisting Rhodes as Roger - contestant number one. They communicate via text which completely gave off You've Got Mail vibes. I enjoyed the banter between Paige and Rhodes/Roger.
My only quibble with this book is that both Paige and Rhodes came across as young adults instead of being twenty-nine and thirty. Their thoughts and actions came off as being quite naive and immature for their age.

Aww Rhodes I love you so much. I am looking forward to reading the follow up to this book. 4/5 stars. Thank you for the advanced copy.

A fun little Rom-com about Paige, a serial dater, and Rhodes, her best friend who has loved her for years. After Paige broke it off with her most recent ex her co worker talked her into a blind date type situation where she will pick 3 guys for Paige to start texting only with. Rhodes decides that is his chance. Until it all comes to light.

If you're going to read this one - do yourself a favor now and purchase Paige Turner Goes To Yellowstone!
Paige is quirky and maaaaybe has a little growing up to do. Rhodes is her best friend who has been harboring feelings towards her for a while and needs to bite the bullet and tell her - but he always chickens out. After Paige's last dating disaster, their mutual friend tries to set Paige up by giving three guys her number -- one of which is Rhodes but he pretends to be someone else, Roger. All goes well until Paige starts to confuse her feelings and wants to meet Roger in person. The meeting goes ... not as planned and Paige realizes she needs to get her life together ...
Paige is so unique. Scratch that. Every character is unique. This book will capture your attention from the first page, but won't make you feel the super heavy feelings so it's perfect light reading ... plus the cat, Cleocatra, has some of her own chapters!

Paige is living in her parent’s basement, working at Upstairs Closet Thrift, and her love life is going nowhere. She decides that all this has to change, and so she participates in a blind dating experiment. Unknown to Pagie, but Rhodes has loved Paige since they were kids. Concealing his identity to compete with two other guys for her attention was not exactly what Rhodes had planned, but when the truth comes out, they have to decide if they would choose the person standing in front of them or ignore it all.
The character of Rhodes is sweet and caring, made all the more endearing as they are childhood friends. Paige is an endearing character who has struggled with her love life until she takes risks, only to find the person who was right before her. Whilst I found the miscommunication between them at times frustrating, it does help with the plot. A great read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this book and the characters are just amazing too.
I would like to thank ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book early.

OMG. I LOVED this book. It was so cute! The character chemistry was incredible. The story keeps you wanting more. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what's next from the author!
