Amazing. Adorable. Devoured it. I decided to check this out because my girlfriend happens to love cartoon frogs and I'm so glad I did. This is a happy break from the horrors!! I feel like there may be a lot of these kinds of subversive, sarcastic little cartoons out there that comment on day to day life and have garnered popularity on social media - and where some may say "enough", I say "keep them coming!" This one is really cute! And distinctive! Like I was kind of surprised at how distinctive it is. I think I may end up getting it as a gift for my girlfriend when it comes out! Also, loves that the little guy is queer, at least has dated/has crushes on folks with differing pronouns!

I hadn’t enjoyed James’s reels before reading this and, whilst it makes a little more sense once you’ve seen a few, this book can definitely be enjoyed without seeing them.

Not dissimilar to The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, I’m Just a Little Guy approaches life with humour, charm, and whimsy. The gentleman frog we meet, Paul Bog, takes life a hop at a time and his advice is relatable, as well as offering a nice feeling of camaraderie. And even after Paul’s more jokey answers, this short book offers some lovely bits to reflect on and has some adorable accompanying illustrations too. Thank you NetGalley and Quirk Books for my ARC 🐸

I genuinely don't think I could have loved this book more. The drawings were fantastic, the advice was 10/10, and it was just the right amount of funny and sweet. Absolutely will be recommending this book to everyone I know!

As a little guy myself who loves whimsy and being cozy, I thoroughly enjoyed this. The illustrations are delightful, and I heavily related to most of Paul Bog's musings. This would make for a great gift for anyone who has been told by strangers that they have a "cottagecore vibe".

An absolutely charming book about how to be a little guy. I remember seeing the first Tiktok that turned into this book, and it stays true to that spirit 100%. Sometimes you are just a little guy and this book will tell you how to live with that in mind. I believe there's a little guy in all of us, you just have to find him. Probably a shiny rock will work.

As someone who routinely says under my breath "I'm just a baby!!" this book resonated with my inner little guy.

The pictures are cute and whimsical, the topics tackled are pertinent to most people including "Handling a difficult coworker" (throw a lit scroll with everything you'd like to say to them stuffed in a bottle and toss it into the sea), "Saving money" (future is unknowable), and "Transporting your body from one place to another" (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COMMUTE VIA SKATEBOARD).

So, yeah. V. enjoyable.

A very cute book with great humor. I, as a reader, was able to identify as a Little Guy. We had so much in common. All sections of the book were relatable, but I loved the 'A Little Guy at Work' section the best.

This is super cute and is a perfect addition to Charlie James' original TikToks about being a Little Guy. The illustrations are beautiful and while the messages are funny, there's also a lot of important reflections on confidence and being kind to yourself.

I hadn’t heard of the author before, but the description and title drew me in—and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a cute, funny read that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a reason to smile.

This book is very well illustrated, silly, and very cute.
Why does the frog have a full set of teeth? Who cares?!? He's great!
There isn't a lot of actually applicable information in this book, because it's a frog telling you stuff, but it's still cool.

I am not familiar with Little Guy, the adorable frog that is illustrated by Mr. James in this book. He is equal parts delightful and, dare I say, a bit snarky? I particularly enjoyed his suggestion for how to deal with difficult co-workers, made all the better with the illustration of the flaming bottle about to be chucked into the sea. What a delight. Definitely a conversation piece. I could see this book being gifted to a friend that needs a good laugh.

This book is seriously cute! The art style is just lovely, and the illustrations match up perfectly to the words. I found more than a few bits of this book very relatable and fully intend to start escaping the horrors and get back to dillydallying!!

i loved the illustrations! i find myself feeling like a little guy more often than not and i found solace with this little guy and his way of viewing life.

The one thing that I cannot praise this book enough for is the art, making we want the title to be "I'm Just the Cutest Little Guy Ever".
As well as the adorable illustrations, the book is packed with humor, whimsy and a dash of chaos.
My personal favorite section is "self employment", but you will have to read it for yourself to determine what you favorite section is.
There is something to giggle about in nearly every page and the way this little guy thinks is honestly too real, I love it.

A quick and charming read that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being a Little Guy in a big, demanding world. I too, interviewed for a job so I could continue to grow my collection of fun and intricate sweaters. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs some joy and whimsy in their lives.

I kept turning the page and being reminded of another person that needs this book! It's charming, relatable, and funny. There are at least 5 pages I want to frame and hang somewhere that I look every day.
