I am so excited to get a copy of this book for my kindergartners that visit the library! This book has very few words which I love! It is incredible how impactful wordless picture books have on kids and I can’t wait to hear the stories students come up with for this book! This book was playful, funny, and super engaging! Thank you NetGalley for an early copy of this super fun kitty book!

Through beautiful illustrations alone, this book weaves a captivating story without a single word. Each page springs to life as we follow an adorable kitten's adventures as it's trapped in a string ball! There are some cleverly integrated activities in the book, The book invites young readers to explore shapes and movement through the story. The artistry speaks volumes, proving that sometimes the most powerful stories need no words at all. A delightful blend of creativity and learning that sparks children's imagination.

So cute! I always love a (nearly) wordless picture book, especially with school-age kids. I think it's a great tool to get their creativity and imagination going while also finding new ways to engage with books. I really enjoyed the simple illustrations and color palette, as well. Who doesn't love a story about a cat?

This book has literally no words and manages to put across a funny and fully cohesive story with just a bunch of simple pictures! Totally recommended, the illustrations are gorgeous!

Cute picture book of a curious kitten that discovers its owner’s yarn ball. The yarn ball then takes the kitten on an adventure, aided by various people and animals, until they find the owner. There is also a craft page at the beginning so you can make your own yarn ball. Don’t recommend leaving out for your cat, though!

Delightfully clever, wordless story of curious cat and its red string ball.
This cat proves it has nine lines as it goes on an adventure in a red string ball only to realize that returning home safely is the best ending of all. Fun how-to-make-a-string-ball instructions included for your curious one, too!
Thanks to @NetGalley for sharing this DRC with me for an honest review.

A cat burrows into a ball of string and escapes the house, rolling into a great adventure. This picture book has very, very few words, but author/illustrator Chris Moore doesn’t need them.

This was very cute. The use of illustrations with minimal text offers a great chance for kids to use their imaginations and practice their own storytelling skills. The illustrations offer so much for readers to laugh about and discuss as they flip through the book.

A very cute story with wonderful illustrations. I loved showing this to me 2 month old son so cute. I definitely recommend getting this book for Little ones.

The artwork in this one was amazing. It was so pretty and easy to follow, particularly for newborns who have limited color understanding. Thanks for the read!

Such a cute book with fun and beautiful illustrations. I loved how they incorporated the little pops of read and kept a minimal color scheme. My son really loved that since red is one of his favorite colors. We really enjoyed they kitties adventure and now we are going to make our own glue string balloon to play with!

This wordless picture book follows and adorable kitten through a day of adventure. The majority of the book is black and white, but there are pops of red throughout, which adds some great contrast to the page. I love wordless picture books because they encourage children to use their imagine to come up with the story.
I had to go through this book twice to decide how I really felt about it and I definitely got more out of the second time. If I was reading it with a child, I think I would be encouraged to go through it more slowly and really appreciate the illustrations. There are some small details that were initially easy to miss, but once I went back and noticed them the story was so much more endearing! The kitten is such a cute character and I think young readers will love how it misses its owner and comes up with a creative way to find her. I also love how we get to follow the kitten's journey not only through watching the outside of the paper mache ball AND the inside. I felt like this element really made the story unique and gives readers and opportunity to practice seeing things from different perspectives.
Thank you to NetGalley and Lerner Publishing Group for the opportunity to review an eARC of this title.

What a cute book! This one is just all pictures and it follows a cat that gets into a yarn ball and goes on an adventure.
I liked the pictures and I think a lot of kids will enjoy this one! The adventures were cute and I think kids will be amused by it.

4/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a great children’s book! It also has a craft that children can do to help them feel involved/relate to the book itself.
Most of the book is pictures and I feel it would benefit from a little more words to help emerging readers.
I most liked one part where it shows you the inside of an object as it is good for children who are learning that objects may have more to them than what we can see.
I recommend this book for ages 2-7 and anyone who loves looking at artwork in children’s books.

Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance reading copy!

A fun high contrast picture book showing the adventure of a curious kitten. The high contrast art work is sure to engage young children as the story unfolds.
