The Forget-Me-Not Library follows a pretty tried and true formula that Heather Webber has established for her books, a story told by two different women in a small southern community with a dash of magic thrown in.

Even when I know what the general formula of her books will be, I always look forward to the next one because she switches things up enough that it doesn’t feel exactly the same as the stories that have come before, and because they make me feel happy and believe in good people and happy endings.

In this story Juliet ends up in Forget-Me-Not after her car inexplicably breaks down. She’s grieving the loss of her grandfather in a freak accident the two were a part of, and trying to find the memories she’s lost as a result. As a community that attracts wounded hearts the state of the car is no coincidence, and puts Juliet in the path of Tallulah.

Tallulah came back with her two daughters to live with her grandfather after getting a divorce. She is fighting the past as hard as Juliet is searching for it, while looking towards her future and finding a connection with her boss, who’s closed herself off to the world after the death of her husband and Tallulah’s grandmother, her dearest friend.

Family members and romantic interests always make an appearance in Webber’s stories, but this one features a new wrinkle, with Tallulah a single parent, the reader gets introduced to her delightful older daughter Katy and baby Mary Joy.

While Webber’s stories also always feature a happily ever after for the protagonists, it’s just as much about finding happiness and direction as it is about finding love. Her stories are great for people who want a HEA but don’t want a romance novel filled with spice.

She also provides an unexpected treat at the end that provides a second reason why Juliet ended up in Forget-Me-Not, and a last link to her beloved grandfather she would have never expected.

A complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When the heart is involved, time and distance don’t matter.

“Always remember that friends are the family chosen by your heart.”

Juliet is recovering from a lightening strike that left her alive but her memory is gone. Her car breaks down in the small Alabama town of Forget-Me-Not. An unusual town that seems to draw strangers in who need help finding themselves.
Tallulah has come back town as a single mother with two young girls, after her divorce.
Both Juliet and Tallulah need healing, and they become friends .
I got lost in this small town as it worked its magic. I loved the characters and Deckle the cat.
Lovable characters, magical realism, small town romance.
This was a wonderful, heartwarming , whimsical read.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this book.

Heather Webber never disappoints, but this book was on a different level. The story was engaging from page one. The characters were both relatable and lovable. I want to go live in Forget-Me-Not! The story was cozy but not in any way cheesy. I found myself in tears towards the ending. A wonderful book.

This novel will always be one of my favorite novels of Heather Webbers and I have read all of them. The characters are well written as they accept new arrivals in their small town when their cars mysteriously break down.. The community is a cast of loveable characters. I loved the setting of the library and the mysterious magical portion of the story. Recommend you add to your TBR stack.

The Forget-Me-Not Library is another wonderful, warm Heather Webber escape. After a difficult year, Juliet sets out on a road trip and her plans change when her car breaks down in Forget-Me-Not Alabama. Welcomed by southern hospitality, Juliet begins to integrate herself into Tallulah's family as both women are working their way through recent life challenges. This book has everything you would want for a whimsical, feel good read including a mystical library cat, while also covering topics of grief and loss. I loved this latest book and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reminder to enjoy the simple joys in life. Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for this advanced copy, all opinions are my own, The Forget-Me-Not Library comes out November 4th and would make an excellent gift for a friend.

Is is Austen? Dickens? This is not a masterpiece of literature. However, if you've ever grieved and want to remember that there will be a chance to recover, to enjoy life again, maybe even to love again, then this might be the book for you. It was good for me, and I'm grateful for the chance to read it now, when I needed it.

Ever since reading “Midnight at the Blackbird Café,” I have looked forward to the author’s next venture in magical realism. This latest novel is a satisfying blend of a small-town community with the subtle magic characteristic of her style.

I was engaged from the first page, and I could easily have finished the book in two sittings. However, there is a sweetness to the story that made me read it a few chapters at a time to savor it as I became more invested in the various characters. One aspect of the story is a respite house for those weary souls who need a rest from caretaking. This book feels like a space of respite from the chaos of our current world. Forget-Me-Not, Alabama reflects a simpler, slower lifestyle that provides opportunities for healing and growth in a caring community. While the magical events may be fantasy, the people are realistic with their emotional and physical challenges. This is a great feel-good novel for pure enjoyment.

My thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the privilege of reviewing this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book was a little bit of everything. I loved the writing, the quotes, the characters, the magic aspect, the setting. Everything felt like one of those really good hallmark movies that make you feel all the feels. I smiled, I laughed, I even cried....a few times. This was such a humbling experience from start to finish. One of the most wholesome books I've ever read. I walked away from this book with so much happiness in my heart. This was my first book by this author ad it won't be my last. It was perfect in my eyes. Everything I needed at this moment.

I have read many of Heather Webber's books but this was by far my favorite. A woman's car breaks down in a small town. She is taking a trip on her own after a terrible event and she needs to figure out her life. The town immediately helps her not only fix her car but also heal herself. This book is a warm and loving book about finding your path in life.

The Forget-Me-Not-Library is a book for your soul. This novel was enchanting and moving. Told from two different points of view, the reader comes to know Juliet and Tallulah. Both of whom are dealing with personal pain.

Juliet has recently lost a loved one as well as her memory. She takes a road trip but breaks down in Forget me Not, Alabama. While there she discovers that the town is more than what meets the eye. There is something there that wants to help her heal. Tallulah is recently divorced and living with her father while she raises two little girls. She is learning how to deal with her new situation as well as wanting more out of life including love. Their individual journeys reveal universal truths about loss, healing, and the courage it takes to embrace change.

The writing is simply beautiful – evocative, heartfelt, and infused with a warmth that makes you want to linger in its pages. The pacing is perfect, allowing you to savor each moment of discovery and emotional growth. I can't tell you how much I want to visit The Forget Me Not Library. I want to see Deckle, sniff a book, and get a new memory. I want to stay in the attic room and read a book under Bill's branches. This book is a gentle hug for the soul. I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more by this author!

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this ARC.

When life feels difficult, I can always count on a Heather Webber book as a pick-me-up. Even though the inciting event for this story is the death of a beloved grandfather, it was still the perfect story for me in a week where we lost a beloved grandfather and then an aunt. After trying several other books, this story grabbed me immediately and made me so happy to read it. The small- town vibes, the small amounts of magical realism, and the sweet found family vibes all made reading the story a healing journey as our main characters heal and find love. The southern charm of the setting and characters just make all the reveals of family secrets even better, as do the scenes set in the library. I can't decide if the children or the older family members make for the best of the supporting cast, but all of them are fun. There is no better home for interfering friends and family than a small Southern town.

Thank you to NetGalley for an opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Juliet is nursing some grief and recovering from a lightning strike. She goes on a long road trip to soul search and ends up broken down in Forget-Me-Not, Alabama. Break downs here are less an accident and more of the place calling you home to heal. Everyone who stumbles in has a reason, though they may not know it, Juliet breaks down and it will take a long time to repair her car…the community opens its arms wide to her and suddenly she’s helping everyone and finding herself. Tallulah, the granddaughter of the man who who invites Juliet to stay is also in process of figuring things out. Both women are somewhat wary of each other at first but ultimately play starring roles in the healing of their mutual souls. The author does magical realism so well. I found myself fully engaged and emotional during this read.

What a beautiful story! The Forget-Me-Not Library is a book that I won't soon forget. It's a lovely story about love, loss, family, memories, hardship, kindness, friendship, helpfulness, and belonging. People don't just pass through Forget-Me-Not, Alabama for no reason, they're drawn here for reasons the town, many of its wonderful townsfolk, and even the local library cat, all seem to somehow know ... even if the person themself can't quite be sure of the reason at the moment. The characters in this book are written so well that by about halfway through the book, I was already hoping for a sequel. The main character, Juliet, is on a roadtrip to try to find something she's lost and finds herself stranded in Forget-Me-Not when her car shudders to a halt with a puff of blue smoke. Almost immediately she meets Tenn, the owner of the home she is in front of when her car expired. He's on the hunt for his great granddaughter and Juliet offers to help search for her. The next thing you know, she meets not only Katy, the missing child, but Tenn's sister, Maeve, and then his granddaughter, Tallulah, and before long, Maeve's grandson, Callum. The story moves on to them helping her find a place to stay until her car can be repaired and friendships form a quick as can be and you're soon finding out more and more about all the characters. Heather Webber writes with such realism, hope, love, and a good sprinkling of magic, and draws you into Forget-Me-Not and the lives of those who live there and those who are just passing through. It's a place I hope to have the opportunity to visit again to catch up with everyone and see how their lives have grown.

I loved The-Forget-Me—Not-Library. You are entranced right from the start. This story has a bit of everything from the people and their kindness, romance, magic and their words of wisdom. It’s a place I would live to visit the library and talk to the townsfolk. Another winner by Heather Webber. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press.

What an amazing, magical book that transports you to a place within yourself. A new Author to me, Webber writes from the heart and this is a beautiful, sincere book that resonated with me in many ways. It's a book I couldn't put down and honestly one that I wanted to last so much longer. There is warmth, a wee bit of magical coincidence, genuine love, and heart. Just when you think you're finding your balance, something happens that throws you another way where you land on a different path - full of whispers and nudges - you get settled and then lose your balance again. This book reminded me that family isn't always the people we’re born to—it’s the ones we choose, the ones who show up, who stay, who see us fully and love us anyway. I loved this book and can't wait to read more from this Author. I appreciate the opportunity of the ARC in exchange for my review. Many thanks to the Author, publisher and NetGalley.
